Yeah, the title says most of it, but... I want to know- how do you use animated GIF avatars on PC? My current avatar is supposed to animate but it won't.

You can upload them like normal, but the file size has to be under 41.0 KB or it won't show up as an animation.

or framerate if you've got a program that does that. but size is the best idea.

okay here's the deal-My avatar right now is 36 KB I tried an avatar that was 53 kb, and it was too large, so I'm guessing the limit for .gif images is 50kb, so check your photobucket/imageshack/tinypic and see your images size, Hope I helped!

It's stated clearly on the Avatar Settings page that the filesize limit is 41kb.

Where did you find that animated "sprites".
Could you VM me the link, please?

Just reduce the size of Gif Avatar Image and Upload it as normal you have done with img avatar image.

Your best bet would probably be reducing the colours of the image, I'm afraid. This can be done with any GIF editing program, such as Photoshop.

I think you could pull it off still looking fairly well, seeing as there are so many animated sprites here right now.
Just remember to get it down below those 41kb.
