    Just starting the thread to gather ideas and suggest some rules, gather people to do stuff like CSS for the thread itself, design a Winner's emblem and such.

    Currently we do not have staff support, so we are waiting on one of the staff members we invited to supervise to accept our request.

    Ideas on how to better enforce the rules are welcome, I just want to make sure no one tries to enter an AMV that they did not create themselves.
    Additionally, you may give me ideas on better rules, or volunteer to be a judge or someone who verifies ownership of the entered videos. XD
     
    I think the rules are good but I would still add a few more even if they are the most obvious (incase of noobs!) like "Any anime is allowed to be used as long as it's AGE APPROPRIATE~!" (Copy and paste of what you said XD) oh and I want somthing very clear if we are going to do it, Pairings/Shippings! Add that no pairings/shippings are allowed (if we are not going to allow them) Also, please add that slideshows are not allowed and also if people are going to upload their videos to megavideo, that they save their files as either, .AVI, .WMV or .MP4 so we are able to view the videos without problems!
     
    I don't think we should prohibit shipping videos, they're just as fertile AMV fodder as anything...but we don't have to score them well unless they're good.

    As far as the format goes, I think that should be obvious. In the meantime Mew~, just google K-Lite Codec Pack and install that and you will be able to view ANY video format they could possibly encode it as.

    Hmm. I dunno really, but I know Megaupload lets you view videos as well as download them as long as you're a member (you don't have to pay, just get an account and sign in)

    But thanks for sprucing up the rules a bit. :D

    We finally got a staff member to supervise. twocows finally agreed to do it. \o/

    Rules! (Follow them or face your DOOM!!!):
    1. Entry deadline is Sunday 3 PM Central or 4 PM Eastern time.

     2. Judges will evaluate entries and post results on Monday night (We need to see if we can declare our winner after the event is over).

     3. Follow all PokéCommunity rules. Do not submit an AMV that is stolen, plagiarized, disabled/muted for copyright reasons, or has inappropriate/mature content.

    4. You may submit any AMV you have created and posted to Youtube before, as long as you can prove ownership by privately messaging me from your account with the entry. We will not accept entries posted on other video services, unless if there is a judge with an account on that site to confirm you owning the entry.

    5. Upload your video to Youtube first, and then to https://www.megaupload.com (but not rapidshare!). If your video gets disabled during Judging, then you will be disqualified. If your video is instantly disabled on Youtube, let us know, and provide a screenshot of the copyright information (I'll outline those steps later).

     6. Your entry must have some indication that it belongs to you. Add an opening/text to the RAW video or add an annotation on YouTube. If you cannot prove ownership of your entry, then you will be disqualified. Be sure to re-upload your entry if you must.

    7. You are not required to upload your video to YouTube, because of the Copyright ID system, but we do require you to provide a title for your video, and every single anime and song title/artist you used so we can search the internet for your video. If we find it posted anywhere else online besides the link you give us to watch it at, we may question your ownership of the video.
