    3D animation-sketchy productions (is back!)

    I'm not sure if this belongs here so if it doesn't,can someone move it?Well I like animaion like the stuff in dreamworks and pixar, and I kind of have my own little company called sketchy productions. We make movies andstuff.Well, currently I'm working on a project of a polygon boy,and after I finish him and some more characters,I'm going to make a movie. It takes a long time to make animation and I'm the only one doing it in the productions. If you like animation, feel free to post your work here.I'm using a program called 3Dcanvas,it's very useful! Here's some pics of the guy I'm working on,I got the head shape from a tutorial, and I made the eyes and colored him,not sure abou his name though.

    I think this would be better fitting in the Art Gallery or something.

    Anyway, it doesn't sound to me like a lot of effort went into your Polygon guy's head if you got it from somewhere else. The textures look like you scribbled them up in Paint. Maybe you should try to learn a little bit more about your program before you tackle a project of this magnitude.

    Umm,actually this is going to be turned into a movie eventually!I know how to use the program too!It cost me alot since I mastered the free demo in one day! It's in the early stages and I have put in alot of effort.Animation movies take time you know. Why don't you try to animate something?I will finish it because I've never quit any other animation films I've made and they're pretty good.

    I still believe this would fit better in Graphics and Photography because it's not a movie yet and you're posting images THAT YOU MADE from your movie.

    What a lovely idea Sketch, I really like them, amazingly good. I myself love Pixar and animations like that, you've done such a wonderful job, you must do more :D

    Ummm o.o;

    It's too polygonal. I mean...it looks like an N64 game. If you seriously want to make a high grade movie, smooth out all the corners and everything.

    Ya,I know, but I thought it would look cool if it would be sort of like the zelda 64 games because I was going to put Link if I can in it.I'm pretty young(12)for major animation like Pixar, but I'm pretty good, andI'm not really running a company, just to make movies for fun.And that product listed up there,it is waaaaaaaaaaaay out of my price range.I get 2$ a week!Mine was only 80$ but I mean, you can't expect a 12 yr old to own 1000 dollars! The finished movie is probabally going to be about a kid going into an old undiscovered N64 game anyway.Oh yeah school started today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It seems way to early!

    Ok...if you're only 12, I'll let you off the hook :P

    I suppose if that's the graphical effect you want too~

    Is there anyone on PC that animates becide me?If so,show me some of your work.I'd love to see it!Oh,some of my parent's friends know 2 people that work at Dreamcast, the creators of Shrek and all that,I may be able to get a tour someday, hopefully!Anyway,am I the only one who's already started school?

    Wo,that's like,so sweet!I love that kind of stuff.Oh,by the way, currently,I'm working on his chest. His skin and hair color could change because I don't know who the actor will be yet. It'll be awhile till then anyway,I also have to make other characters. It would be alot easier if I had the animation program Pixar uses.I've seen it on the internet but it costs a fortune, then I could make some sweet characters though!

    Maybe tomorrow,I've only shaped his top front half so far,the rest is still just a big block. Thanks for commenting too!

    Can't wait until tomorrow then ;)

    I've personally never used this kinda software. How much was whatever you're using?

    About 80$ for the highest upgrade. You can get a free demo of it at amabilis.com I think.

    Sorry to double post but sorry I didn't get the screens up yet.I found some eyes from the n64 games so the eyes look better and I finished the torso.Right now I'm planning the movie. For now,it's going to be the land of Zelda but about his great great grandkid in the present. He finds out Link is his ancestor and he explores current Hyrule on a quest.I also changed the hair color to blonde to make it look more like link.I'll post the pics later if possible.

    Sorry to triple post but I got the pics.I just started a new post so you wouldn't have to read through the last post to see if they had anything to do with the pics.
