    I've seen this challenge around a while ago, but it died off apparently, so here we go - I present to you, the Anime Challenge! :D

    The Rules
    -This can be played on any game.
    -Before starting, pick a character from the anime with at least three or four Pokemon. Pick a team of Pokemon, out of the Pokemon that character owns, or has owned previously. You can search for characters here, with detailed lists of their teams.

    -The challenge ends either after defeating Lance, or defeating Red in G/S/C/HG/SS - your choice.
    -The challenge ends after defeating the Pokemon League in any other game.
    -If you chose Ash, you pick just one of his regional teams. For example, only his Kanto team or only his Johto team - no mixing and matching between his teams.
    -Trading is allowed, but only if you can't obtain the Pokemon before the Elite Four in your game.
    -You can only use the selected team members, though you are allowed HM slaves.
    -Trading is fine - but don't get the Pokemon at a high level.
    -As an optional extra challenge, you can try sticking to the moves that each Pokemon has in the anime, but this isn't essential.
    -Update with your progress here, if possible. :)

    I plan to start my own challenge tomorrow and will start updating then - currently preparing a Pikachu and Chimchar to be traded.

    EDIT:

    Update #1
    -Started my adventure from Twinleaf, met Rowan, got Turtwig.
    -Beat Barry after a thrilling Tackle/Scratch war.
    -Did all the tutorial stuff.
    -Captured Starly on Route 201, and two Bidoofs as trade fodder.
    -Traded Bidoofs for Pichu and Chimchar.
    -Headed up Route 202, training team.
    -Entered Jubilife, meeting Looker.

    NEXT - Barry battle, and maybe the Roark battle.

    Day Two
    -Explored Jubilife and the surrounding areas.
    -Visited Trainer's school, got Town Maps, beat some School Kids...
    -Answered the questions for a Poketch.
    -Owned Barry.
    -Headed through to Oreburgh.
    -Explored the city, got some free stuff.
    -Found Roark at the mine.
    -Chimchar started disobeying me.
    -Turtwig learned Razor Leaf and proceeded to kick Roark's butt with it. :)

    Next: Back to Jubilife, and maybe getting my fifth team member.

    @pokepokemo - Cheating for those two is fine - it'd be difficult to obtain them otherwise. You don't plan to evolve your team members?

    @TheFuturePokemon - No problem, changed it up top.

    Day 3
    -Just got my Coal Badge... but Pichu and Chimchar are still disobeying me! Grrragh... :(
    -Beat the Grunts in Jubilife, watched Rowan own them.
    -Got to Floaroma.
    -Beat Mars at the Valley Windworks.
    -Captured Buizel, my fifth team member :)
    -Headed north. Starly, Chimchar and Turtwig all evolved.
    -Reached Eterna. Staravia spammed Wing Attack to beat Gardenia.
    -Monferno and Pichu FINALLY obeying me.
    -Cleared out the Galactic Building, including Jupiter.
    -Am currently playing underground/desperately wishing Pichu had enough friendship to evolve. :)

    Did all of the boring opening stuff.

    Beat everything up until the first gym with Quilava, got my togepi egg(trying to hatch it) I ran down the route and got an old rod so i could fish. Instead of a magikarp i went with a poliwag at this point to i can have an attacker to train togepi. Heading to bugsy next!

    If your on about evolving Buizel, you can't since Ash's never evolved.

    - Started my adventure.
    - Got given Pikachu
    - Went to Viridian and received the Pokedex and stuff.
    - Went to route 2? I can't remember which route it is, west of Viridian.
    - Encountered Mankey at Level 5.
    - No Pokeballs, fail.
    - Bought Pokeballs and caught a Mankey at Level 3.
    - Grinded Mankey up to Level 7
    - Hiked through the forest.
    - Came out the other side.
    - Beat Brock and received the Boulder Badge.
    - Mankey is now Level 12

    Plus, I'm gonna add Bulbasaur to my team, since my other members are caught quite later on, :c
