the lineart for the 2nd one isnt all the way complete, and i took off thier heads not to spoil what they look like, so tell me if the one on the right is good or the idea is good or what, and perhaps you guys can give me suggestions on how i can make the drawings more my own cuz im stumped cuz i still wanna make em look like the anime but with a personalized touch so yeah :(

gilbertman, don't let some dork who doesn't know what good fanart is even if it hit him right in face, get you down and force you to change your style.

So what if he said that you copy your stuff from the anime. That means you got mad skills as an artist. I wish the anime looked like your art. Heck, that one Holiday Jenny pic I requested is STILL the best piece of fanart I have seen EVER!

But back to the matter at hand. The new lineart you're fiddling around with on the right, has that manga art feel to it. Maybe because the lineart is a bit thicker than usual and it reminds me a bit of some manga I read like that.

To close, I say go with what brought you to the dance in the first place. It got you this far, why stop now?
 
How Bout a mix of both, for the lineart around the drawings you can use the left style and use the thicker lines from the right for the folds.

Dude don't take it to sersiously when some idiot would bash your artwork thinking that they are far superior than you. Just tell him, if you're such a big expert about it, I would like to see you do better or better yet tell him to **** off.

To me your art is good no ones perfect.

  • Vest goes down to her waist.
  • Shorts into pants.

As with the new drawing style, I recommend you stick to the one on the left, AKA, your orig. It just looks better that way, seeing how Manga can really bloat the eyes up.
 
Hello Gilbertman!!!In my opinion your originall lineart from the left side of the picture is the best and please dont change anything.It is doesnt metter what people say.Your anime character drawings are really cool and I have never seen better.This guy who said that your drawings are a copy is REALLY wrong, dont care this stupid opinion.I think you are the best pokemon anime artist and some people are jelous.Dont change lineart. I LOVE your originall characters drawings;)
 
...he's on Serebii.net too you know. And next time you wanna fling around accusations that are pretty much baseless and stupid, do them with REAL WORDS. 4 is a number, not a word. R is a letter, not a whole word, as is U. Nor is there such word as 'claimin' or 'sumone'. And Ur is an ancient Sumerian city and I don't see how that fits in with the subject of Gilbertman's art.

On another note, what makes you people think that it's a good idea to swamp him with requests when he hardly gets on as it is? Obviously he's busy so why don't you *wait* to make your requests until he's not so busy? ;o Omg idea.

sorry that was my only request and i never bugged him for it i only said it once and i asked him first if he had them already, but it doesnt really matter i dont care for the request

Hello Gilbertman!!!I write again....You draw ANIME characters so I think if someone draw anime characters and his drawing are good SO THAT they MUST look like in anime:)Guy from serebii.net forum doesn't understand it so it is his buissness.Besides you drew persons who they didn't have appearence in anime for example Glacia and Sidney and what??They are PERFECT!!!So don't change anything because you are the best;)That's all I guess thanks for drawing which you made for us.bye;)
