Anime Conventions

Has anyone been to any anime conventions?

I've been to CN Anime in Toronto in September 2006 and Ottawa Anime Convention in November 2006.

I've been to one, I eventually wanna go to some others when I have the money, I loved the one I went to. Best weekend ever.

CN Anime was the September one. Anime North is in May. =D;

Anyway, I've been to both Anime North and CN Anime in Toronto ever year for the last...four years, I think? I only went to CN one day this year 'cause of health problems, but I still loved it. :x They're so much fun.

Will be going to Anime North again next year and...probably CN, but I'm not sure yet. Depends on university, I suppose?

Never, although I would love to go to one. n.n;

Argentine anime conventions, despite the fact that I was in ninth grade and still got handed cards for hookers and whatnot, are super cheap. They just reprint manga and fandub anime in spanish, which I don't mind, and have tons of soundtracks, posters, and basically any other kind of aparrel. Maybe not as big as US conventions, but meh.

I got the first 20 issues of Rurouni Kenshin for like...the equivalent of 7-10 bucks or something. Eeyep.

I've never been to one, but one of my friends has.

He even got my an L bookmark from the event =3

I would love to go to an anime convention at some point in my life... It seems pretty cool.

Oh, right, CN Anime. XD I was there all three days... but I don't remember seeing you. Oh well.

So it's just CN anime I've gone too. Next year, I'll try to attend both if my parents let me.... though it has been pretty costy so I'm not sure.

Of course I have been !! In Spain, there a lot of Anime conventions. They are called "Salón del Manga de X" (Where X is the city where is held) or, if it's a small convention, instead of "Salón" are called "Jornadas" (I dunno how to translate it to English).

This year, 2006, was the one I started going to Anime Conventions. I've been in two "Salones" (Cádiz and Jerez) and one "Jornadas" (Cádiz). Maybe at the end of the year I go to another "Jornadas".

Yeah, I like Anime Conventions because there you can meet a lot of interesting people and you can have fun, seeing the cosplayers (In the last one I made my first Cosplay, James from Team Rocket, but my hair dye failed), singing in the karaoke, dancing ParaPara, or buying merchandise !

Yes, I have a lot of fun there :D I can't wait for the next one !!

If you wanna know more about Anime Conventions, just ask me here.

I was on Animecon IV last summer <3
That was a great fun

I got sick the Friday night and ended up missing the rest of the con. D: So that's probably why we missed each other. That and I didn't even know you'd be there and I dunno if you even know what I look like. But minor details. XD

I've seen your pic several times. I'd noticed if someone looked familiar. Now to learn what the people you went with looked like.... I'd recognize Sorano too, but she's obviously not going to come with you. So, just Kura then....

But that really sucks. I busily did ALL of my shopping, and most of my picture taking on friday, so it wouldn't have been hard to have missed you.

There were SO many cute girls I encountered and took pictures of. If only my camera wasn't hell crap. ;o; Next time, which will be ANime North, I'll have two super cameras with me!!! >:OOOO

Hmph! I was sooo close to going to AX Expo.......so close...but alas, I couldn't.
I do plan on going to Megacon in Orlando though with a friend; the shopping, the VA's, the art...I can't wait ^-^

I went to the Anime [AX] Expo in the Anaheim Convention Center last summer (2006).

It was my first time going to an AnimeCon so I had no idea where to go. XP I did manage to buy some manga for cheap and some other little goodies though.

I'll probably be going again to the Anime Expo in the Long Beach Convention Center next summer. Hopefully I'll know what to do then. ;D I might even get to cosplay. ^___^

I went to the ComicCon in San Diego two years ago, and a very tiny convention in Dallas two years ago as well. 0.0
