Well, I came up with a pretty cool team I wanted to try out. you know my rules by now, so no need to mention them this time of year! But this revolves around dishing out massive hurt with my choice sweepers and then using metagross to finish them and also act as a revenge killer.

I know about the fire weak, which was the idea behind Heatran ;) I need a lot of help in deciding some items and a few moveslots as well, so I'd really appreciate it. no need to bring up the CBcross weak, I'm well aware :P

But here is the team. This and the mantine team are the only ones I ever really use, and this one I used once, so yeah. But here:

EDIT: I KNOW ALL OF THE STANDARDS, I AM JUST CHOOSING NOT TO USE THEM.

    Metagross @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Clear Body
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Explosion
    - Pursuit
    - Bullet Punch
    - Earthquake

Metagross is oh so versitle. It has a great revnge killing movepool, so I'd like to test it out. Also a rock and normal resist. I know it lacks power, but I have darling Salamence for that.

    Tangrowth @ Leftovers
    Trait: Leaf Guard
    EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spd
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Sleep Powder
    - Knock Off
    - Leech Seed
    - Power Whip

Physical wall, possible Vire counter. This looks like loads of fun to use.

    Articuno @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 64 SAtk / 96 SDef
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Heal Bell
    - Ice Beam
    - Roar
    - Roost

Special wall, beller, PHazer. Garchomp counter. Seriously (And I REALLY hope it can do the job). For the record, this thing is /THE/ most underrated pokemon in D/P. This thing just ROCKS.

    Heatran @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 56 HP / 200 Spd / 252 SAtk
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Flamethrower
    - Earth Power
    - Hidden Power [Electric]
    - Dragon Pulse

Special sweeper and flash fire abuser.

    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 172 HP / 216 Spd / 120 SAtk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt
    - Rapid Spin
    - Recover

Spinner and special sweeper that can stall a bit as well.

    Salamence @ Choice Band
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw
    - Stone Edge
    - Aerial Ace / Flamethrower

Need help in the last slot...but CBmence is my physical sweeper and LEAD.

    - Pursuit
    - Meteor Mash
    - Earthquake

    Tangrowth @ Leftovers
    Trait: Leaf Guard
    EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spd
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Rest /Sleep powder. (Growth is a great Phys wall, but there are quite a few switchins that ruin it. Can it afford to stay Asleep?
    - Knock Off
    - Earthquake / Leech Seed / Sleep Powder
    - Power Whip

Physical wall, possible Vire counter. If metagross deals with Vire, then I need something to replace EQ with, since that's the only reason it is there. even then, I figure power whip does the job, but I wasn't sure.

    Articuno @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 64 SAtk / 96 SDef (I'm sure there is reasoning behind the EVs and i'm no good with Cuno, so can you please explain your EVs?
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Heal Bell Is this an XD move?
    - Ice Beam
    - Roar
    - Roost

Special wall, beller, PHazer. Garchomp counter. Seriously (And I REALLY hope it can do the job). Unless Chomp has Stone Edge. LOL

Heatran @ Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
    Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk (Dunno, but compare the speed to Hera)
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Flamethrower/Overheat
    - Earth Power
    - Hidden Power [Electric]
    - Dragon Pulse

The EVs are just no for this thing, need help with those. the real problem is the item choice.

    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 172 HP / 216 Spd / 120 SAtk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt
    - Rapid Spin
    - Recover
OK. Spin and Recover is uncommon, but if it works, use it.
Spinner and special sweeper that can stall a bit as well.

    Salamence @ Choice Band
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw
    - Stone Edge
    - Aerial Ace / Flamethrower (Consider Flamethrower and LifeOrb. Byebye SkarmZong.)

Need help in the last slot...but CBmence is my physical sweeper and LEAD.

Edit in Bold. Conrats on 6000 posts. I really like some of the alternative movesets. Pretty good as it is, but a SkarmBliss counter would do nicely here.

    - Pursuit
    - Bullet Punch

Looks good, consider an elemental punch

    Tangrowth @ Leftovers
    Trait: Leaf Guard
    EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Sp.def
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Sleep powder
    - Knock Off / Stun Spore
    - Leech Seed
    - Power Whip

This lols at vire, i know you like rest but this thing doesnt need it, leftovers sleep powder and leech seed is enough to restore its health, i run this and its a beast.

    Articuno @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 64 SAtk / 96 SDef
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Heal Bell
    - Ice Beam
    - Roar
    - Roost

    I guess.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 58 HP / 200 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (With Specs) and Modest (With Scarf)
    - Flamethrower
    - Earth Power
    - Explosion / Hidden power Electric
    - Dragon Pulse

The only thing that really stops this are SP.WALLS, i run Explosion, its saved me so many times from being walled. I also like Lava Plume in that first slot as most things that switch into Heatran want to EQ it and Lava PLume can cripple them with its 30% burn rate. Fire Blast is an option in that first slot, if gets a flash fire boost it can 2hko Gyarados and Blissey, just to let you know how awesome this thing is. I run Life Orb and Timid, it still does the job very well.

    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure

    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Thunderbolt
    - Rapid Spin
    - Recover

Another one of my favorites, looks fine

    Salamence @ Choice Band
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw
    - Stone Edge
    - Aerial Ace / Flamethrower

    Cool

    .

    Changes are in bold.

    Merry Christmas!

    Starmie@Life Orb
    Modest
    -Ice Beam
    -T-Bolt
    -Rapid Spin
    -Recover

    More coverage.

I don't really want coverage on something with 100 base SAtk. I need a powerful STAB move to help power it up :)

As for tangrowth, as long as you're SURE it doesn't need instant recovery, I'll do that then.

Metagross stays with bullet punch so it can revenge kill well. Scarf it is :P

I'll run Scarf Heatran, so I'll switch around the EVs and crap.

    A few things though...

Dark Azelf, you bolded out HP electric on my Heatran for Explosion and then you put HP Electric in again as another option :P I just find it interesting, even somebody snippy klike me doesn't care about it :P lol

Also, I was considering life orb on starmie for another power boost. worth it?

EDIT: Heal Bell is an XD move BTW.

Well it does sound silly now that you mention it, but i did that because i was gonna put explosion after HP electric as another option but i put it before it and i sort of messed it up =p

For that set on starmie Lefties is the priority item, i sometimes use wise Glasses for it. It depends on how offensive you want it to be, but its primarily a spinner and should not be attempted to sweep with at all, so lefties is what you want, as it helps it weather hits and SR and Spikes damage.

If you want it offensive aswell as a spinner try this set.

    Starmie@Lefties/Wise Glasses
    Timid Nature
    252 SP.ATT / 216 SPEED / 40 HP
    - Ice Beam
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt
    - Rapid Spin

You get more sp.atting power aswell as it being a spinner.

Evs allow it to outrun Gengar still.

Also, never say "I guess" for Articuno, it should be more like, "Articuno >>> Blissey" lol jk

Interesting. I just figured that I could use recover to take off all that recoil damage.

    I love Azelf's Stamie >.>

I strongly recommend for you to make 'Mence a mixed sweeper unless you can read your opponent's mind. x.x

CBmence (barring Raikou) was my favorite sweeper in ADV and seriously, it's even better now. Most of my team is special based, I'd rather run an all-out physical sweeper.

And seriously, Dragon claw just obliterates everything mercilessly and EQ takes care of the steels that wall it. Rock Slide is GREAT for all the Gyara switch-ins I seem to get and now that it is stone edge, I have even more power at my disposal. STAB Aerial Ace can also hurt a lot of stuff, and flamthrower will hit bronzong and skarmory with fair power.

Meaning, CBmence >>>>>>> Specsmence > DDmence > Mixmence IMO, lol

Seriously, CBmence averages about 2 or 3 kills a game in both generations, it's THAT good. Really, I kind of feel like I have to use it since Raikou kind of sucks this generation and I need to at least use one pokemon I used in ADV.

Yeah, I'm weird like that O_O I just can't let go of all the ADV madness, even in this gen. People underestimate that stuff now, and blissey never likes taking a Choice band dragon claw (as it expects specsmence).

Reading an opponent's mind is what I do best, perhaps why I love choice sets oh so much :P

And I love Azelf's Starmie also, I just thought it should have some horsepower...or starpower, rather :P lol

    ...

Why the heck does Metagross need Bullet Punch with Scarf? Meteor Mash gets the job done here.

And why do you need power on something like a SpinningStarmie? It needs that bulk to continually Spin. Life Orb works with Hydro Pump to 0HKO Tyranitar even after the Sanstorm boost if you want that or else just run Leftovers.

Tangrowth wants a more reliable way to heal. Leech Seed/ Morning Sun pl0x.

    Salamence wants 120HP / 252Atk / 136Spd.

Heatran wants Fire Blast>Flamethrower. It 2HKOs Blissey after a Flash Fire boost or under the sun.

Alright...but out of curiosty, what outspeeds 252 spd EVed adamant metagross with choice scarf?

I figured with recover the extra power would only help. Doesn't really matter, I'm using lefties anyways ;)

Tangrowth wants a more reliable way to heal. Leech Seed/ Morning Sun pl0x.

Morining sun sucks, but notice I have leech seed :P

    Salamence wants 120HP / 252Atk / 136Spd.

I like bulk as much as the next guy, but the extra speed on CBmence seems to come in handy.

Heatran wants Fire Blast>Flamethrower. It 2HKOs Blissey after a Flash Fire boost or under the sun.

After my run with fire blast on my CBmence in ADV and hopw it missed SO much, I'll have to see. But 2HKOing blissey certainly is enough motivation to try it out a bit.

I really need to look up what "pl0x" means...my guess is "please" lol, man I'm clueless.

BTW, if there's one pokemon I never mess with, it's choice band salamence. I run that on 75% of the teams I use and it's really the only pokemon I've 100% mastered in terms of its use, EVs, and crap :P

I'll run meteor mash, I was just wondering about things like Aero that I otherwise would have trouble hitting without getting drilled first. All I need to know is what outspeeds it...I'll check myself and edit in the results, but if somebody coiuld double-check for me it would be oh so appreciated :)

    Any glaring weaks?

EDIT: Metagross gets to 358 speed with scarf...EDIT 2: Outspeeds gengar, that's what I was concerned with :P

i would run agiligross but that one still works. anyway tangrowth needs a healing move i think. rest abuse maybe?

Agiligross really isnt that good this gen.

Not only that but it fits in with this team horribly. The entire point is hit and run and then revwenge kills with metagross.

Leech Seed would be that healing move.

Seriously people, read the descriptions of my pokemon. I want metagross as a revenge killer, not a sweeper that uses agility as swampert switches in and walls me.

Anyways, things I need help with still:

    -Weaks of this team
    -Salamence's last slot

Are my two prime focuses that I need to be covered and crap. Anything else also feel free to bring up and/or annoy me with.

Tangrowth gets Morning Sun through XD.

Morning sun really sucks though...TTar :(

Really, I'm good with leech seed + lefties recovery + forcing a switch with leech seed or sleep powder = lots of recovery. I had rest, my all-time favorite move perhaps, and that obviously was a bad idea :(
