If there's one thing a person can be in when they got a major illness, it's to stay positive. That's the kind of attitude and mindset my Dad is in right now.
He finished up with the chemo treatment this week and now the doctors will wait one more week to see if the chemo did anything to the leukemia. More or less, my Dad just wants to get out of that hospital, despite the fact that he's got leukemia.
More or less, my Dad's not going to go down without a fight. He's a fighter. He's had a mild heart attack, a blood clot in his lungs, pulmonary hypoertension and lupus within the last 15 years and he's still here.
Overall, the doctors are very pleased with how he's responding to the treatments and such. For him, he just wants to go home before his birthday next month.
