PC is not a business. >.>
Besides I think it's "Professional" enough.
Besides I think it's "Professional" enough.
It would be used as a place where a user can find information in an organized fashion, instead of searching through thousands of threads for it.
But eh, I give up, I just can't believe that none of you would even consider having an organized place for all the stuff. Like I said, it would just make you look more professional.
(And besides, users would still be the ones creating the information for the site, thus still being user driven)
You have to be a business to look professional? I'm not saying it doesn't look professional anyways, I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt. :/
Also, you could just create a format for users to post their guides in, that way you would just have to upload them to the ftp, and they could provide a link to their profile in the bottom of the page, thus giving them credit.

Also, a Staff Information page could be added to the site, and I could learn a little about the people who run the site. I just think in all, a main page could/would make you guys look a lot more involved, as members could learn about you, hear what's up with the site, and then discuss all they could ever want to here in the forums. The only difference would be that there's easier access to everything you need, a much more informative way of learning about the site/staff, and increased activity (Although I seem to be the only one that thinks it will increase the overall activity on the site).
Also, I figured I would throw in the idea of only linking to the threads on the main page, instead of moving all the information there.
Well said Lightning. I would also like to add that Pokecommunity is just a forum, if people have a question about sites than they should ask the respected Site admin of the site or post in the Forum dedicated to them.Long story short, if you feel PC should have a one-stop place for information like that, go bother the site admins. THEY are the ones who run the community sites and thus they would be the ones to set something like that up on their own sites, be it PMing the informational thread creators to ask permission to use their guides on their sites or writing up entirely new ones in their spare time. The reason they're purple at all is because they made the sites that PC "belongs" to (in the sense that SPPf belongs to Serebii.net, etc.) so if you have a suggestion for PC's main site? They're the ones you go to. They run PC's main sites.
Like everyone has said, we already have a main webpage. The difference between us and most other forums is that we have more than one. So if you want a main site with good news updates, informative content, and all that useful stuff you're mentioning? Ask the site admins to see about adding content like that to their websites. Otherwise, just use the forums.
