Any interest in OU tourney?

    I'm not really big on making threads but I figured I'd do this. Basically I'm considering hosting an OU tourney [or passing the responsibility on to someone else]. It's probably better to gauge interest here before hand and see who actually wants to battle. So I guess just post if you're interested, we could also discuss the schematics of setting it up, as well as throwing any twists on it [like no choice items, no megas, double elimination], although I think it's better to not divert from standard OU too much, or just do standard OU tournament in general since that's still fun. Have at it, guys.
     
    Lol sure, I would be glad to help in any way possible. I have been in a lot of tourny's so I do know a thing or two (psst it's easy af)
    It's been a long since I have taken battling seriously so if the tourny turns out to be really competitive it would be enjoyable.
    I am all for it.

    I think we should do an OU tour, no gimmicks, single elimination, just straight OU with as many willing participants as possible. I don't think it would hurt to have a tournament with real "stakes," which I guess would be bragging rights. But the whole point would be that it's a sort of "official" deal where everyone just plays and may the best player win.

    If that's a little stuffy, I think we should still do one because it's BATTLING and team building so we best be doing some battles, and I think a simple single elimination OU tour, maybe with a different banlist (like a no Aeg/Thund tour or something) should happen. I'm definitely a fan of a casual battling atmosphere, but I think tours do give a nice contrast where it's more spirited competition, and seeing as joining is voluntary, I think there's only upside.

    (While in theory I'm in favor of any tier, I don't know how much experience people have with, say, RU, and I'd prefer not to resort to a fake tournament like RandBats as imo that defeats the purpose.)
     
    That is actually not a bad idea, no aegi thundu goth etc. it would be like a suspect tournament. I am all up for it happens.

    Ew no randbat a x_x single elimination ou sounds good.
