I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if any of you know of some Pokémon games made in flash and actionscript?

I'm currently doing one in AS3 myself and was wondering if I'm the only one ever to try that :D

Theres is nothing worth showing yet. At the moment I'm working on a map editor, which I might release soon and get some feedback on. I'll make mine available online, so anyone can go and make some maps if they have internet. Has this been done? Anyone know of some flash tile editors?

You aren't probably the first one :P

EDIT: However you do seem to be the first to create an RPG like the originals.
Flash sounds cool for Pokemon! So much you could do, seamless artistic gaming. That's perfect!
Not to forget that you could even use things like dynamic scripting (PHP etc.) to make an MMORPG :P

I really want to wish you good luck...

Computer Science is endless... If someone truly wanted to, some one can code a game purely with assembly or even binary, I know that is farfetched, but more than possible.

How is that even related to what he's asking?

    I completely second this.

Never heard of any. That cheeky wee Google search doesn't give of anything good from the looks of it. It's only really worth playing if it's a port of one of the games to play in-browser. On the other hand, Nintendo would take it down in a Flash, excuse the pun.

Misread the post, I thought he asked if it was possible to do it in flash

The game itself is the only thing that needs to be in Flash, you can make the map editor out of anything that saves the file that the Flash can read in and interpret. It can be a string of integers, that would suffice

Actually, Alucus_of_Borg was making his game in Flash before his migrated the project over to RPG Maker.

There are a few others I've seen over the years of being here, too. None of them ever made it to completion, or really even past the planning and idea stage.

Hehe I liked how cocky he was, but failed to actually see if google gave any good results. His edit saved him though :D

I didn't even think about the copyright stuff, I guess your right, if it was online I would recieve cease and desist in no time. But I'll probably make it anyway, just for the fun of it.

Okay thanks, the point of this thread was just to see if anything well known already existed, I guess not.
