Hey, welcome to PC.
A lot of people here use Pokémon Showdown. We have our own battle server which you can access by clicking here, and you can read up on it and ask any questions you may have here. In that section you can also talk about various aspects of competitive Pokémon too. I'll close your thread now since it doesn't really fit here (this section is for the discussion of Pokémon gaming itself - although I do see your logic), but I hope you enjoy using the server!
