Does anyone else here not like the way they made everything more 3-dimensional-ish in D/P? I think the sprites they used in R/S/E were the best. Not that I don't like what they did, I just like what they did the R/S/E more.

Sorry but im going to have to disagree with you there, as i think that what you call 'more 3 dimensional-ish' has helped the Pokemon series imensley. It enchances gameplay and gives a slight new feel to it. In addition if they were just to have carried on the way the made the games then i think people would have began to get tired of the same thing as it was probably becoming very repetitive. As for the sprites i think that the new d/p ones are not bad but i do agree that the best sprites used were back in R/S/E.

What exactly makes the RSE ones better to you?

besides graphical elements of the game, the isometric look is so much easier on the eyes.

all of the graphics are good. some of the designing, however, is what sucks.

I agree with Kipper... I think 3D makes it look much more appealing and like he said "gives a slight new feel to" the game.

I disagree with you. In fact, I hate the graphics in R/S/E.

I really did wish that the whole game was in 3D, but they improved on the sprites but some of the new pokemon suck

i disagree because making them more 3Dish makes them more life like if you will and makes the features more better besides who doesn't like better graphics

i have to DISagree because i think its gone a lon way since R/B/Y but R/B/Y is one of the most interesting game(s) because of missingno...

anyway on topic i disagree because the graphics are cool and youre less likely to get a seizure (i especially like the effects when a pokemon come out of a pokeball)

I believe people are just having trouble coping with the change since they do look playdo-ish. I sort of like it, I just think it'll take some getting use to.

I actually like the 3D effects. The old traditions needed a change anyways.

The 3Dish graphics are okay, though I think they could've looked much more detailed and polished given the power of the DS. But the battle system is a huge disappointment. Why the hell is it the exact same style battle system that we've been playing for years?

and to anyone-else who think's it's 3-D... It's what u call 2.5D like i think what was in zelda etc. there are 3d elements, but there are also 2d stuff, or, it wud be like Colluseum, stadium(whatev?) and it wud serve no purpose as the next in the gba games series if the graphics look like they went through Sega, Sony and Microsoft = =..

I think the only reason any of us will dislike it is because it's new. We become so used to the way they set up the GBA games that the DS games seem terrible. But in all honesty, despite I myself not liking change, I have to say this is deffinately a change for the better. It has a nice, fresh feel to it, something the series has been in great need of lately. So, to sum it up short and sweet, I have to disagree. This new format/look/whatever you want to call it/ is much better.

I think D/P Did good with Pokemon/Trainer sprites, and that's about it. I really, REALLY don't want these's "I'm stuck between 2-D and 3-D" graphics. I'd pay extra just to get this game in the good old graphics that I'm used to. Ionno, I just don't prefer them.

You'll get used to it when you've played for some time.

I used to think RS graphic was better, now I think DP graphic is far superior.

U watch, D/P haz alredy made a huge change in pokmon games in Japan, and when it comes out in America; it will make *theconvienencestorethatsellsit* Rich Quick! Also, if it was crap, i think after the first lot of people bought it in japan (day 1) then there would be a dramatic decrease in People buying them (word of mouth), but, it didnt and instead made it to the list of most sold pokemon game in one week!!! I mean, come on, if it was crap, there would not be much people going to buy it, but there are millions who love it; esp being able to trade with sum eskimo in antartica or whatever.. Also, when r/s/e came out, every1 liked it coz it was 'Colour screen' on the GBA; but i remember MILLIONS of hate threads about their incompatibility with r/b/y/g/s/e..

I've noticed some people saying that I don't like the graphics. I think the graphics are fine, but I also think it's kind of weird having new 3-D graphics, but the same way of moving around. I mean most 3-D games let you move around in all 8 directions.
