    Hey,

I'm pretty new here. I'm 29, I'm into gaming which is why I became a Pokémon fan. I have an Xbox 360 but mostly I just play the halo series. In my bio I've written a comment that I'm only here to discuss Pokémon but meh. I was just curious who else is studying this year?
    Anybody here work in IT?

Hey there boxingboy! I assume you made this account a couple years ago but never got too into interacting with the folks til now? If so, let me officially welcome you to the Pokecommunity! Thanks for taking the plunge :D

Yes indeed the Pokemon games are mainly what got me hooked into the franchise. I pretty much don't consume any other form of Pokemon-related media anymore (unless you count this forum ofc lol). The only consoles I've ever had were the Gameboy Advanced SP and the Nintendo DS, and that was WAY back in my younger days. I'm super thankful that games from those consoles can still be played via computer, since this device is pretty much where I live nowadays lmao. Also, I personally do not work in IT but have several friends who do. I'm in the design field myself hehe.

Hope to see you around more, and have a splendid day! if you have questions about this place, don't hesitate to ask me and I'll help you to the best of my ability :D

It's actually an Xbox one S 😂 algood dude, I'm not studying IT I'm doing a business paper I'm just looking into further down the track. I know one or two people in design. Do you mean web design? thanks for your reply.

Ah I see haha. That'd be an excellent path to go down tbh, I've heard IT is a really booming industry nowadays. Best of luck to you and your future!

I guess you can say I do web design?? I honestly am not sure lol I'm an in-house graphic designer for my city's Chamber of Commerce and they have me make collaterals for events they hold and all that. It's just me in this department too, so I technically have full control of how the company's branding looks like lmao. Just need to constantly get designs approved by the boss ofc which can be a hassle since she's not too keen on punctuality, and often crams things :< I just go along for the ride.

That sounds like a good job. Shame though you can't go ahead without the final approval. I was looking at an IT cert and one of the papers was technical IT, taking apart a computer and putting it back together was the basic description but I wanted to know more. What is the job outcome ? Tech support at a call centre ?
Software development would be cool too Aye.

Hey boxingboy! So after a talk with the mods, we've decided that this thread is now less of a Meet & Greet post and more fit for Internet & Technology. Thus I've gone ahead and moved it here to continue discussions :)

6 years must've been long to go off the radar here
I don't really use forums much to tell you the truth but I'm seeing now how good they are. I was playing my gameboy again when I signed up and I was looking for new interesting challenges to do while playing.

Sup. Would it be easy enough to find something online to follow along with, and an old desktop computer to take apart and put back together?

i haven't actually delved into picking a PC apart and putting it back together yet, surprisingly enough! i... sort of shied away from that because in my head i keep thinking it's probably way harder than it is (since i've never really done it before and i'd have to learn all the internals of a pc) but i dunno, i don't have an access to an old pc as of currently, so...
