Hey DM. A working computer is always good news. What was the problem with it?
 
I'm not sure on the details, but it was something like the internal power supply blew. To me it just looked like it wouldn't turn on. They fixed it I took it home, but it turned out they took the part from another model of computer & it this time it wouldn't turn off. So we took it back again & they bought a second hand part for my model of computer, & now it's working good. Only problem is it took the floppy drive with it but I don't use that much anyway.
 
Man... I haven't been in the DCC for a long time. I've been busy with my job and other stuff.

I keep on hearing about something that happened on the 1st. Can anybody sum it up in 100 words of less? Or should I be glad I wasn't here instead of working?
 
AFAIK, the mods tried to be funny and do some sort of April Fool's joke, but it backfired and made a lot of the members angry. I dunno the details either, but this is what I do know.

My computer is kinda new, but still, it freezes quite frequently once I'm ont the internet lately. ;; I have already gotten it fixed once, but that only lasted for a couple of weeks >.<
 
Wow. Kind of makes me glad that I was at work and or sleeping before work when this was going on.

So, I hope it's safe to come back, even though I might be gone again in a few hours. XD

~The first time we took it to get it fixed, it was a virus indeed. But some time later...it started freezing again >.<
 
What I usually do is to reinstall Windows. Sure it's an annoying process, but it means you start afresh (and if you have XP you don't lose your work).

~I wasn't aware of that oO;. I have XP...I guess I'll think about doing that if it continues acting that way.
