Did you insert the card into the DS and power the DS console on? The ARDS card usually needs some sort of power source to read it's memory and the mini USB cable can't provide the necessary power to support powering the card and still transfer data.

Yea i did that. It always makes that connecting noise when i plug it in or take it out.. I did everything right, its just that it keeps saying its waiting for ds when its already plugged in...

Are you using Vista? I had this problem with it, but you said you download the fixed version for vista, if so you probably have a faulty cable or something.

Nope i have windows xp.. And my cable works But it never detects the ds in the code manager

i guess ill just buy my 3rd ards...or a r4. Since this one never works!!

does your USB port work? try connecting to a different USB port before you scrap it. if it doesn't work, or you've already tried this, then i'd say either buy a new ActionReplay, or get an AceKard 2/2i. i've never tried the R4, but i love the AceKard (just got it a few weeks ago). there's a tool you can use to back up your game cart/save, so moving to it wouldn't be too hard (i've heard you can use the same tool on the R4). i'd almost say go with the R4, though, as i can't seem to get most of the AR codes to work with the AceKard (but hey, maybe it's just me, lol). it's whatever you decide! good luck! :D

Like the user above said, it looks to be most likely your USB port. Try connecting it to another one or testing it on a whole other computer.

Also, do you have the latest driver?
