Sorrica trudged through the deep, slippery snow beneath her feet, whilst more snow kept falling on her head. She had bowed her head, and put one of her arms up to protect her face. The other arm had a hold of Spyro, her Quilava, which was the only thing preventing her from freezing to death.

'Trust me to get caught in a blizzard', Sorrica said in a muffled voice. She tried to get Tank, her Anorith, to dig a shelter they could stay in while the blizzard passed, but Tank was getting too wet, so he just decided to go back inside his Pokeball, leaving Sorrica cursing in the snow. So then Spyro let himself out, lit his flames and jumped into Sorrica's arms, keeping close to share his heat.

It was a risky move, as Spyro had recently earned himself his first battle scar in a fight against a wild Fearow. It had swooped down and extended its sharp, rear talon, which connected with Spyro's eye. Spyro was still in a lot of pain, but he still refused to leave Sorrica.

{I still think we've been walking in circles for ages.} Spyro said as he looked up at his trainer.

'We have not!' Sorrica argued. Each was as stubborn as the other, which was pretty stubborn. 'We're just walking through an endless, snow-covered field with an endless blizzard going on, alright! If we were walking in circles we would have seen out tracks by now!'

{Nuh-uh! The blizzard would have covered them up!} Sorrica sighed. Spyro was right. They had no idea where they were going.

She sighed again, and said 'I wish this stupid storm would just stop so we could see where we're going!'

Candle raised an eyebrow, watching what the girl and her Venonat were doing from the 'safety' of the huge tree, one arm against the trunk, the other clasping his chin as he observed the girl.

He had no choice but to close his eyes, as the little bug pokemon she held in her arms released a flurry of bright light. The boy regained his sight, nodding approvingly, seemingly impressed as he spotted trainer and pokemon running away from the battlefield.

{Ooh~! Darling, can we go and say 'hello'? Please!! Please!! I reeeally wanna go and say 'Hello'! I really do! I shall go, yes? Let's go!!}the Pigeotto on his shoulder seemed to be the only one talking, as she retracted her claws from the boy's fabric of clothing, swooping towards the place where she saw the girl and her funny Venonat escaping to.

"Gahh... Muse!!!"Candle slapped himself on the face, jogging after his pokemon, who had now taken to singing to herself.

Not long thereafter, a big smile crept onto the bird's face, as she spotted the girl hugging her Venonat.

{HELLO!!! Funny girl and funny Venonat~!!!}Muse couldn't resist but squeal loudly, waving one wing in the air to catch their attention, sweeping here and there just to make sure they could see her. Behind her, a panting boy was trying his best to catch up to his Pigeotto.

OCC: Sorry, Ninetales, but there's no "stepping back" in time. Ari handed her form right after Jeff did

IC:

Professor Suzuki did the same to Ari's form as she did to the others. Counted the number of correct answers and then added the total to her notepad. She seemed rather pleased with the black-haired girl's result.

"Very good, you four. There's just five more to go and then you all get to choose your Pokemon." There was a short pause. "Unless the other trainers don't arrive in the next ten minutes then they miss out on on their chance of being first."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Tropius watched in interest as the chestnut-haired teen slowly stepped back, gripping his trusty Gligar and flipping the scorpian-tailed creature over his shoulder, causing the avian to screech a warning.
The Pidgeot had long sinced landed on the ground, talons dugged into the earth and the larger Flying type forgotten. The feathered fiend brushed her beak against the dirt, prehaps searching for worms.
The sound of a Pokemon being withdrawn into a sphere caught the bird's attention. Her head snapped up and golden eyes focused on the large tree almost direct to her path. Granted she had seen the human make his way near the tree, but she ad considered him to still be an unfamilar threat.
The sound of a small female bird's caw caused the larger bird to spread her wings and screeched a loud cry. Guess she wasn't too happy about the arrival of another avian, Pidgeots being incredibly territorial. The sudden cry startled the sauropod Grass type and he reared up like a horse, bellowing.
Prehaps the boy hadn't heard the screech, but as he chatted with his own bird the larger raptor was slowly making her way towards them with leaf-crushing talonfalls. Occasionally she'd **** her head to one side, her focused on nothing other then her target.
But at that moment the Pidgeotto had decided toleave her current place and make her way to a new area flight-style without even noticing the possible dangers. The Pidgeot gave a startled caw at the smaller raptor's sudden appearence, which turned to a cry of anger as she took flight once again.
The Pidgeotto had already reached her destination, so the Pidgeot focused her talons on another target. With a loud screech she dived at the boy, talons out and ready to either grip or strike.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Snorting, the Nidoking reared up onto his legs and sturdied the blue-haired girl and her Pokemon. He was most certainly unimpressed at what she had, this battle would be worthless to him.

"King," the puple giant rabbit-beast muttered, his crimson eyes flickered in doubt.

Well, he might as well rid these vemons out of his territory. With another battlecry the Nidoking tore foward, ths time towards the Absol. Before the Disaster Pokemon could react, she was hit by the beast and violently flung into the air, inwhich she landed hard on the earth.

Her fate was unknown to the beast, but if Nishi risked a quick look she'd notice her Dark canine trying to slowly struggle to her feet, crimson orbs focusing on her target.

The Vulpix's Confuse Ray had not effect on the Nidoking. Heck, se couldn't even use it. His level was too low to know such a technique. However, judging by his level and healthy system, it wouldn't take him long to learn.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A loud caw sounded as the girl and her Quilava trampled through the snow. Up ahead, the owner of the bird-like cry stared at them from the safer of a snow-covered rock, just big enough to held his weight. The bird was a two-tone of red and white, his fluffish tail curried over his shoulder like a sack.
The Delibird was about to make his way towards the girl, but changed his mind when he noticed the Fire type on her head. "Del?"
"Luna!" She said as the absol lay crumpled on the ground.
She was scared now, this thing was strong... she thought hard.
The absok went the stand, then let out a cry, limping. It looked up, only one eye open. /I'm...ok..../ Nishi shook her head. She heard a growl and saw Eva bearing small fangs with furr bristled in furry
[GO AWAY!] it growled pacing in a circle. A panting Ember stood at her side tired but still not giving up.
She reached on her belt, pokeballs ready. If this got ugly, she would have no choice but to try to run....
Rustling came from behind Rika along with a wierd snorting sound, she would go and check, but was too tired from running away. A loud screech came from above and Rika looked up to see a Pidgeotto swooping down. Rika let out a little scream and thought, "That Pidgeot had friends..." She held up Vee hoping that it will protect her but Vee too was tired. She gasped and hugged Vee as the Pidgeotto got closer. "G-g-go away!!" yelled the little girl hoping that the Pidgeotto would spare Rika and her Pokemon.
{Go away...?}Muse held a wing to her beak, a hurtful expression on her face. It was as if little tears would start rolling down her feathered cheeks any minute. But, given the sudden interruption by the loud caw of the Pigeot, the smaller bird had no choice but to turn away, letting out a shrill cry as she noted what the other avian was targetting.
{Ohmiiigod!!!! Candle, darling!!!}Muse let out a high pitched screech, beating back her wings for a brief moment, before charging at the much larger bird. Slamming into it with all the might she had in herself to muster.
The Pigeotto's trainer on the other hand, took this oppuntunity to run towards the girl and her Venonat, quickly positioning himself behind her. As he flinched at the sight of pitting his own, frail Pigeotto. Against.. that big, mean, territorial beast that claimed itself to be a Pigeot. One hand instinctively found it's way to yet another pokeball on his belt. This one being the final and last pokemon he had yet to release.
"If we manage to live through this dark, dark, bleak moment. The name's Candle."his voice was strong, though it held a tinge of fear, as he tried his best to put on a brave front for the girl. Not that he had any intention of protecting her. Now, the new age had dawned, it should've been the girls who protected the boys.
Yes..
{No one hurts my darling Candle!! No one, you big, brute!! You mean, mean poopie head!!}Muse closed her eyes as she scolded her evolutionary form, hardly caring that if they had gotten into a battle. Chances were slim that she would be the one who would emerge victorious.
'Geez,' Sorrica moaned, 'what kind of Pokemon would live out here?'
{Articuno.} Spyro replied.
'Besides that. And don't even think about mentioning Regice, because it doesn't count either.' Then they heard a caw from nearby. Sorrica lifted her face from the safety of her arm, and saw a Delibird perched on a rock... which was part of a cave!
'Finally! Some shelter!' Sorrica began to trudge towards the cave, all the while keeping her eyes on the Delibird, which just warely eyed her back. Sorrica only moved slowly, desperately hoping that the cave wasn't the Delibird's nest.
The Delibird ruffled its feathers, as if uncomfortable for some odd reason or another. Sorrica then stood still and watched it, to see if it would make a move. It would not take its eyes off Spyro.
{I don't think he likes me...} Spyro said warily.
The Nidoking snorted, crimson eyes glaring from foe to foe. His intentions were clear: destroy the targets. His thoughts were almost robotic, programmed. As the beast stood there swinging his thick tail and focusing unblinkingly at his victims, his mind drifted to the blessing of the huge reward his master would give him for another job well done.
Lowering his horn, his head drifted from side to side as if trying to decide if he should pierce her left eye or her right eye. Maybe he should drill a huge hole in her skull or prehaps he should "kabob" the girl's only means of protection.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Pidgeot shook her head from the hard blow, forgetting her prey instantly and instead sighting her focus on the smaller bird. Her caw was one of amusement as Muse spatted a few choiced words out of her beak. However, the Mach 2 bird wasn't much in the mood for chit-chat.

With two flaps of her wings she created a gusty windstorm as if to show Muse her aerial capabilities. A mixture of dust and dirt was collected in the wind, almost blinding the smaller avian. She was being challenged for an aerial fight. A fight that she'd most likely loose against the bigger and more experienced raptor.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With another caw the delivery bird released his grasp on his tail, a round icy blue coloured sphere tumbled out and hit the snow with a soft crunching sound, burying itself half way into the cold snow.
Muse released another surprised screech, her wings covering her face as she was blinded by the sand attack the Pigeot had unleashed upon her. Coughing, the Pigeotto was far from wanting to give up. Her eyes were closed, due to the fact of the accuracy damaging attack, but.. there was one attack she could always try.
Candle thought the same thing as well, a small grin on his face as he shouted out a command to his Pokemon. "C'mon, Muse! Aerial Ace!!"
The bird obliged, stiffening her body for a brief moment, holding her beak into the air. Using her nose to stiff and feel the air currents. Then, she lashed out at an incredible speed, blinking her eyes, hoping that the action would help her regain her sight. For now, she had to rely on this weak- But very much accurate attack. It was the only hope they had.
{You poopie head! I'll beat you!! I will beat you!}Muse's cry was full of spirit and gusto, as she slammed into the Pigeot another time. Hopefully, this time increasing the damage dealt.
"Well..? What're you standing over there for? Don't tell me that big bird got your pokemon already.."Candle's hands were on his hips, scolding Rika for not taking any action, noting the tired Venonat in the girl's arms, before looking up to the battle again.
The sphere landed in the snow with a loud crunch sound. {What in the world is that?} Spyro said in a rather confused tone. Sorrica looked up at the Delibird, who just sat there, still watching them.
Sorrica carefully sat Spyro down, who ran for cover in the cave near the Delibird. Sorrica had only just, once again, realised how cold it was without Spyro to keep her warm. So she quickly picked up the sphere and ran for the cave.
As she ran into the cave she slipped on a bit of snow and skidded on the rock-hard floor of the cave, almost crashing into Spyro, who quickly moved out of the way. 'Oww... rough landing.' Sorrica groaned. She sat up, rubbing her head, then she noticed that the sphere wasn't broken.
{What do you think it is?'} Spyro asked again.
'I don't know.' Sorrica answered, all the while never taking her eyes off the sphere. She then heard the caw of the Delibird again, who was standing at the entrance of the cave.
The Pidgeot watched tensely as Muse began to do her aerial stunts before slamming into the unprepared raptor's chest. The larger bird gave a stattled cry as her wings crumbled, but she was quick to get her breath back and spread her wings. The movement saved her from being a pancake on the forest floor.
With another angry squawk, the Pidgeot once again began beating her wings against the air, creating another sand-blowing windstorm known as Sand-Attack.
(OCC: Cheeky, I never said the spare was glowing and them exploded. X_x Please redo your whole post.)
Scott's face reddened as he took the sheet of paper and looked at it... Then he started to take his time filling it in. He wanted to get atleast something right, unlike his entrance.
1.Out of Grass, Fire and Water which is your favourite type?
"Oh that's easy..." Scott thought to himself as he wrote down 'Fire'
2.Apart from each other, name at least one weakness and one advantage each of these three types have.
Hmm, Scott thought.
"Grass: Weak against Fire and Bug, and Dragon. Strong against Rock, Electric, and Ground."
"Fire: Weak against Ground and water. Strong against Ice and grass."
"Water: Weak against Electric and Grass. Strong against Ground and Rock"
3.If you saw a badly injured Pokemon lying on the ground still alive, but unable to move, what would you do?
At first Scott thought "I'd capture it!" then thought that that would be unfare so he wrote 'Take it to the Pokemon Center'
4.In full evolution what is the smallest and largest of the starters?
Scott wrote down;
"The smallest would be Blaziken, and the largest would be Charizard"
5.Name the last move each starter learns on their basic form.
"I hope this is right" Scott thought;
Bulbasaur - Posionpowder, Sleep Powder
Charmander - Smokescreen
7.What is Professor Suzuki's favourite starter?
Maybe the professor's favourite pokemon is my fave? Scott thought then he wrote down; Charmander
8.If you did happen to catch one of the legendaries, what do you plan to do with it? Please also add which legend it would be.
'I wouldn't care if it was a legendary or not, it would be treated equally like all my other pokemon. I would like a Rayquaza however, they are so cool!' "I think I went a little overboard with that question," Scott thought to himself.
9.Do you have a certain second starter choice if your first option is taken?
"Charmander is my 1st, and if that's taken Cyndiquill"
10.In their full form name what kind of animal you think each starter may have come from.
Rika watched as the Pidgeot ruthlessly unleashed its attack on Pidgeotto. She raised her hand while holding onto her Venonat to avoid getting sand in her eyes; concerned, Rika looked down at her Venonat who was resting peacefully in the midst of the fight. She held onto Vee with her free hand tighter hoping not to lose grip of her Pokemon in the furious wind. She then remembered Candle beside her, struggling to fend of the flying foe. She looked over to see if he was okay.
Suddenly, Rika let out a whimper and shutted her eyes. Sand had gotten into them; Rika reacted by carefully laying Vee beside her so she can Rest, then she rubbed her eyes with both hands, hopefully getting them out. In her blind state, she vowed to damage the Pigeot in anyway she can, but first, Vee had to wake up from her Rest. Candle needed to stall, just until Vee was up and ready. She tried to cry out to Candle but the sonic boom of wind was louder then her, and consquently, Rika was only able to yell a few words that Candle could hear. Even so, she wasn't sure if he even heard her.
OOc-
*looks at the Pigeot and Muse's stats*
Muse= So pwned unless Vee helps/Candle's third pokemon appears/both. XDDD
Ic-
Candle blinked, his arms over his face as the Pigeot decided to call upon another ferocious Sand-attack. His eyes darted from Muse to the girl to her sleeping Venonat, retreating back a few steps so that he stood beside the female. It seemed like she wanted to tell him something,
"What?!"he asked the girl, anything but a happy expression on his face as he turned back to his Pigeotto.
{Wahh!! You poopie head!!}the bird had gotten accustomed to referring to her evolutionary form in that manner, her eyes watering as more sand was flung at her. Muse was never one to give up, and she wasn't planning to lose to this meanie anytime soon!
"Muse! Use Aerial Ace again! Follow up using Sand-attack against it! See how it likes that!"the boy commanded his Pokemon from afar, shifting closer to the girl. If the Pigeot was going to try anymore stunts with him being the victim, he would jump behind her.
Yes, well, that was a good plan. He wondered whether the girl would like it though.
The Pigeotto squawked to show her understanding, once again repeating the same routine, colliding with the larger bird's chest with all her might. But, despite her efforts, it was well seen that Muse was losing her stamina. Huffing, the bird followed up with landing onto the forest floor. Doing it the old fashioned way by digging her talons beneath some earth, before snatching them up swiftly, sending the pile of dirt and sand towards the Pigeot.
She hoped.
((I'm sorry, I didn't know what it was, and a glowing sphere kinda fitted the description of a Present attack, so I just assumed that was what it was.))
Nishi looked into its eyes. Why was it attacking them? If it was just because they stepped into its territory, running would work. If not, then it would get them into more trouble. Luna could barely stand, Eva would be crushed and Ember was hurt even though he wasnt acting like it. She thought hard. She couldnt let her pokemon get hurt. It wasnt right, if one of them died....she could never forgive herself.
She swallowed hard, without blinking. "Return." she said holding the balls up, as she put them into her pockets, she looked into its eyes.Then, she ran the fastest she had ever ran in her life.
The female Proffesor nodded as she took the sheet Scott handed her and added his score to her notepad. At the same time adding in Azra's. Beside her Professor Kusaba glanced at his watch and then at the soon-to-be-trainers that had already made it and signed. He might as well get it over with.
As Suzuki handed him the notepad he walked up to already opened small metal box on the coffee table and rubbed a finger against the Pokeball whose usually red colouring was replaced wth a shining blue-green. This ball was on the 'Water' section, indicating that it contained a Water type Pokemon, but gave no clues as to which one.
Professor Kusaba held up the notepad so that everyone could see it, but they could note see the small writting from that far. "I have with me the results of six of you and I'm quiet impressed with the results."
"I based the results of the scores on correct answers and how certain questions were replied." Professor Suzuki piped up. "I noticed that no one got my favourite Pokemon right, but never mind."
The male Professor coughed for attention before continuing on. "We're just gonna get this over and done with since we're way behind time anyway. Anyone else who arrives here late will just have to deal with what's left. Now when I call your name I want you to pick out a starter. Don't worry about not knowing which Pokemon is in which ball. Professor Suzuiki will tell you. Jeff, you're first."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(OCC: That's fine)

The Delibrid fought his Pyrophobia and fluttered towards Sorrica and her Quilava with a soft caw. He puffed out his chest with great importance and held a wing out as if wanting something.

"Deli!" the Ice avian cawed impatiently. He glanced pointedly at the icy blue sphere and thrusted his wing again, almost shoving Sorrica back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(OCC: Or if a strong wild Pokemon helps. XD)
The Pidgeot screeched in a mixture of pain and anger as the Sand-Attack once again failed to do its job. Nor was she too happy when she felt the blinding sand enter her eyes and make it difficult for her to fly.
Eyes stinging the avian locked eyes with the Pidgeotto and noted with satisfaction that the bird still seemed to be resting on the ground after lauching her own Sand-Attack. Pidgeot were known for their faster-then-light speed and their powerful wing and chest muscles. And this Pidgeot wasn't about to show them that she was still an unevolved Pidgey only capable of throwing sand and flying away.
With each forward thrust of her powerful wings, she sent a gusty windstorm at Muse's direction, hoping that the smaller bird would be blown away. While there was very few things to grip on the forest floor there was a nearby falling tree and it would prove useful if Muse could fight the powerful Windstorm and get to that tree.
The Nidoking snorted as he decided whether or not to chase the girl down, but then decided against it. The were no use for cowards other then to torment them. He'll have his well-deserved fun with the girl and her Pokemon later on, but right now his mate was calling for him.
Jeff looked up, surprised that he was chosen to pick first. He pondered wether or not it meant anything, perhaps he had the best test grade? He snapped out of his train of thought, realizing he was making the others wait. Jeff walked passed Professor Suzuki and over to Professor Kusaba and the box of Pokéballs.
He studied the box for a moment, there were three columns, each with three Pokéballs in them. Each column had a different colored top half of the ball, it was either blue, green, or the regular red. Jeff figured out which column contained what type of Pokémon rather quickly, but he had no idea which contained the Pokémon that he wanted.
His hand darted over to the "Green" column and it hovered there fo a few seconds, "Thankfully I'm not going to be flying blind,", Jeff thought to himself, "Professr Suzuki's going to tell me which Pokémon I've selected, so, I guess I'll just pick up one of the balls and see if it's who I want."
Jeff's hand just stayed over the three green-topped balls for a few seconds, moving from one to the next, he looked up at Professor Kusaba, who was just staring down at him. After a few more moves of his hand, Jeff finally chose one of the green balls and pick it up.
He looked over at Professor Suzuki, "Which Pokémon is inside this Pokéball?", he asked, rather unsure that he'd picked the right one.
OOC: I wish I knew when all thr trainers got to pick their Pokemon... Oh well, since I can't RP Ari yet, I'll RP my new character. I'm kinda confused as to what's going on on the island, so for now Gon'll just be by himself--unless you count his Beautifly that is.
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Should we continue on?" Gon and Tomirei were resting near a lake in the middle of the forest, en route to a meadow someone said was full of interesting sights and Pokemon.
"Byuu." The Beautifly sitting on a rock next to Gon nodded and flew off the rock. Gon stood up as well, and he walked past Tomirei and back into the trees. Tomirei started to fly overhead, hoping he wouldn't be attacked by Spearow or something.

"Uh... Tomirei?" Gon called from below.
"Byuuti..." Tomirei rolled his eyes as if he forgot to do something, which in fact he did. Remembering at once, he shot some string out of his mouth towards Gon--the string caught on his arm. Gon then gave him a thumbs-up. This way, the two would not be separated. Anyways, Gon didn't seem too worried about where he was going--he just let his intuition guide him. And there wasn't anything really interesting in the forest--just some trees was all, no interesting berries, no Pokemon, no nothing. Still, Gon continued on without complaining of boredom, Tomirei not too far overhead.

All of a sudden, Gon's back felt oddly itchy...
<"Gon, you're a fairy!"> Tomirei noted the wings now sprouting out of the place where Gon's back itched.
"I'm a what?" Gon was startled. He also started to grow antennae, his eyes became bigger and protruded from his head, he grew extra legs from his body, and he himself started to shrink a little. A few moments later he had become a Venomoth.
<"What is this?"> Gon asked himself. <"What kind of Pokemon is around here?"> Gon often transformed into Venomoth when he was near a Pokemon that was weak against one or more of his elements. So whatever Pokemon was near him now could be Grass, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Psychic, or Bug-type. Since he was in a forest, Gon guessed it was a Grass or Bug Pokemon. But still Gon didn't know, so he flew around, looking for whatever Pokemon caused this transformation.

Soon Gon found it: an odd tan spot in the trees. From the looks of things it could have been... a Mankey? Vigoroth? No, not Vigoroth... Maybe Nuzleaf? Whateever it was, the Pokemon suddenly... disappeared.
<"What in the world..."> Gon muttered in Venomoth language.
"Abraa..." The voice behind him startled him---Gon spun around and saw an Abra standing there!
Standing? Gon thought. I thought Abra slept most of the time...
<"Uh... Hello Abra,"> Gon said to the Abra. <"What are you doing here?">
<"What's up?"> Tomirei had just arrived and was surprised to see the Abra as well.
"Ab..." Abra teleported again.
<"Ohh... now what?"> Gon groaned. But then something else startled the two bugs...
"Kadabra!" A Kadabra appeared in the Abra's place!
<"Fight me,"> the Kadabra demanded. <"I haven't had this kind of company in ages.">
Gon and Tomirei looked at each other.
<"I'll fight him,"> Gon offered.
<"But you're weak against psychic attacks... let me do it,"> Tomirei worried.
<"But I have psychic attacks as well, so I can counter him,"> Gon added. I hope they're strong enough though.

<"Bring it on,"> Gon said to the Kadabra.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OOC: I hope that was allowed, morphing Gon into a Venomoth and having him battle a wild Kadabra...
