Are Ash and co really that dull about Team Rocket's disquises?

    I think Ash and co could figure out that it's Team Rocket in a disquise. I sure can. I mean its so easy to tell, blue and red hair, a meowth with them. It kinda stupid really. What do you think about it? :\

    They could if the writers wanted them too, but then they would have to think up another way for Team Rocket to try and get Pikachu... and who want to do that?

    It could be like Sailor Moon.... Though inside the anime they apparently look complete different to each other and everyone else around them when they transform, they happen to look exactly the same and they did when regular to us viewers.

    or it could just be that Ash and co need glasses really bad.

    What puzzles me is why Team Rocket wears their uniforms under their disguises, would it get very hot? :\

    ...Oh boy...well, they sometimes have their suspicions (especially Max), but considering how thick-headed Ash was with Misty,...he has no clue.

    That is true. I think in one episode in Poetry Comonniton one (First Flannary one). Flannary's grandfather saw though their disguise. I think it just one of those things.

    A funny thing I like to laugh at is that one episode Ash and co will see a girl with long red hair and a guy with blue hair and meowth. Then they will yell at them and say that they are Team Rocket in disguise but it just turns out to be some people that look like Team Rocket. That will be funny.

    What puzzles me even more is if they know they can never win then why the hell keep going after Ash and the others? Shouldn't they just give up and try somewhere else?

    Because they didn't finish PokeTech school (eppy on anime)...Besides if they stopped following Ash and co, then they wouldn't be on the anime series anymore. I do agree though that they should stop bothering Ash and his friends.

    It's for comedy relief.

    Just laugh at it.

    Otherwise we should start questioning a lot of factors in the show that doesn't make sense in reality, like oh say... Why haven't anyone broken a bone when they got blasted off/fell from high heights (The Cleffa, Clefairy and Clefable episode would be a nice example)?
    It's all comedy.

    well, the anime is vague a lot on time between episodes (sometimes it's same day, sometimes it's months later). when Jesse & James aren't trying to catch Pikachu, they're doing menial jobs for actual pay (because, in part, Gio won't fund them fully anymore). so, if it's been weeks or months since you last saw them, you've met God-knows how many random filler people, then it may be slightly conceivable that you wouldn't recognize them -- I mean, Clark can put on glasses and no one knows he's Superman

    That is so true Jessie. I mean it could been forever since they see Team Rocket in disguise. Then it not every episode they put on a disguise to take Pikachu. So that makes lots of sense.

    i think to let us know who's who...if they made the disguises too good,they'd make us think about who to trust,and who is actually the bad guy,or not,which would lead to confusion....on false information...

    ...or maybe cuz it is a show for kids?.... :\....

    Gasp! Flannery! Flannery is so AWESOME *Spazzes* ....*cough* ...Anyway...
    Yeah I noticed that... Everytime I see that episode I think of that.
    He's never really even met Team Rocket before, and sees right through them...
    Ash has seen them over 500 times and he's still all 'OMIGOSH!! Its Team Rocket!!' *SHOCK* .....

    ---_---

    I mean, sure its tradition... but....gah... >>; ><;;

    They trust people to much unless the person give's them a reson right from the start not to trust them. I fine it odd that in some episodes they act like friend's with Team Rocket and than end up hating each other agian. thats just funny..I remember one episode Ash sayd "Sorry I can't play with you today!" to Team Rocket, haha

    Lol Yeah....he just sees them as Push-overs now... ^^;;

    But yeah, its true that Team Rocket (or at least Jessie and James' TR...) would probably get along with Ash and friends if they just stopped trying to do the impossible, and steal their Pokemon...
    Other then that, they don't seem to have much against Team Rocket.

    Yeah in episode two, where the first met, he was all afraid of them. Now hes not really fazed when Team Rocket appears out of the blue. But another thing I don't get, in the contests Jessie enters, her name is always some form of the word "Jessie" just twisted up. Don't you think that Ash and co, or Drew, or Vivian would remember Jessie and James (ane Meowth) from past contests?)

    I think it's just the way a show is made.. it wants the viewer to know that they are actually the villains in disguise, but still wants to keep the characters in the dark. So, there isn't much of a choice except to make it so obvious and make the characters look a bit dumb to be unable to recognise the disguises.

    Sorry, I come from a drama club, so pardon my theories... :P

    this is what I think about it:

    -Ash is an idiot
    -Brock doesn't have eyes
    -Max is some combination of those two
    -May apparently doesn't pay attention to it

    You'd think they would figure out that anyone with blue/red hair walking around with a 1-2 ft. tall person is team rocket.

    Well, actually, Max DOES see through it from time to time.

    Erm.. it's kinda rude to say such things about the characters... sry, but I just can't stand it when people speak like this of the characters in pokemon.. ><;;
