TwinLeaf Town - Mmm, okay, they could do better
Sandgem Town - Whats up with that?
Jubilife City - ...I have no comment.

Well, guys, I've always known that the English dubbers could do decent jobs of translations, or giving Pokemon cool english names, but in Sinnoh, have they lost their touch? Jublife City, thats a horrible name, for my favorite city!!

    Discuss here.

The only decent Pokemon name I've read so far is Empeleon/ aka Empureto, Piplup's final form

Not really. It just takes us hardcore gamers some time to get used to them, that's all. I don't see why anyone complained about Hoenn, Johto, or even Kanto for this matter right now. The reason why? They got used to it over time.

    Hey, anything's better than naming all the Kanto towns after colors. <.<;;

well, it explains why some people think pokemon is corny...
    ...corny names

Well, I guess you could say that. But the old names, were a little more decent.

Someone has to back me up on these: Driftblim, Bidoof, and Starly.

Well, I know I'll get used to them, but those names, aren't the best. How does Starly have anything to do with birds?

All the games have had a theme...

R/B/Y it was colors and the starting down was Pallet, like a color pallet or whatever.
G/S/C was plants and things (Goldenrod is the one i really remember) and the starting town was Littleroot (I think...)
I dunno what there was for R/S/E... anyone know?

And whats the theme for the new games?

And yeah, jubilife town is lame. It doesn't sound like a town at the slightest.

Ehem , it's called STARLING. It's a bird. Sorry I just don't like it when people ahve no idea what they're talking about. Jubilife town actually sounds nice to me. I think some of the names are quite clever. Anyways thats all from me. Good day.

G/S/C's starter town was New Bark Tpwn lol.

I don't think Hoenn had any base. I think they were just random names.

Didn't have a base? Are you blind? LAVAridge town, quite a random name considering it's next to a volcano, eh?

Littleroot - Symbolising the start of the jounrye, like a root just starting to grow.
Ever Grande - Grande being big or tall, symbolising the Pokémon League being forever tall. The names all have bases, you just have to look carefully;)

still isn't the greatest name. No need to explode over one comment. Jubilife is a city by the way.

It sounds odd for some reason. translating to happy life =_= Jubilation / Jubilife

When I said they didnt have a base, I mean't a trend, like how Johto was plants and Kanto was colors

I agree with you on this 100%, its like going back to Kindergarden and learning your colors again :D

I Agree on Jubilife town I mean did the designer like just get married and decited on the name or what?

Yeah, seriously. I wouldn't know what Viridian or Cerulean were if they weren't the names of cities. The only two I knew playing through the first time were Indigo and Fuchsia. I was in 2nd grade.

    :\

Personally I think with some of the new Pokemon names they could have put a little more thought into them...I guess the town names aint too bad. Also i reckon Diaruga and Parukia are better than Dialga and Palkia...but thats just my opinion.
