Are the people that can see/use Auras (in the Lucario movie) considered as Psychics?

I don't think so...
Aura is related with the fighting types, like Lucario. And Aura is the vital energy of the body, not in the mind, like the Psychics person, like Sabrina. In the Anime, where aura is more talked about, only Riolu and Lucario can use it. And just Ash and Sir Aaron are able to sense it. Well... until now! XD

Ok, so aura "detection", like Ash and Aaron and Lucario and Riolu, is actually detection and usage of physical vital energy? And the Psychic thingy of Sabrina and the Saffron psychics are detection and usage of mind energy?
 
I see Aura as a kind of magical power, and as such, different people can learn to use different kinds of Aura (so we effectively have black mages, white mages, summoners, etc.)

I mean, in the Pokemon world, not in other RPG games like Ragnarok or something.

No, no.
I don't think Aura is a mental energy. Is from the body, but can be controlled by the mind. It's like Ki, Chi, Chara, etc...
Characters like Mewtwo and Sabrina use their mind, but it's not Aura.

Yeah, I was going to say, I always imagined it like Ki energy. Maybe this means Pokemon is going to be like DBZ now... No... No... Don't make it like DBZ... That'd be a bad idea... Make it like SatAM instead...

ash and aaron can use it u see ash trying to help lucario save mew with aura and how do u think aaron saved mew in the past????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dogasu actually made a DBZ comparison over May's Squirtle during that terrible time travel episode.

Another thing that bugged me was how Zenigame can just make it snow by using an Ice Beam at the sky. I mean, I know that Zenigame is supposed to be the Pikachu of Haruka's team, but giving it the ability to alter weather puts it on a Dragon Ball Z level. Just give it yellow hair and an orange gi and you've got the newest member of the Son family.

You remind me the Final Smash of Lucario, the Hadou no Arashi (Aura Storm) it's like a Kamehameha! XDD
 
You know, the Aura ability might be considered the same thing as Psychic abilities.

I mean, After you beat Sabrina and earn the Marsh badge, she hints that Aura and Psychic abilities are the same thing (Sabrina mentioned that Psychic powers make up all life, and is encompassed by everyone, it's just that most people don't really know it, which is similar to what Aura is described.

Also, some moves are given types that really don't fit them. Like Agility for example. It's officialy a Psychic move, and yet it more resembles a Fighting/normal move. It's possibly the same deal with Aura being labeled as a fighting move and yet is more resembling a psychic move.

Also, yeah, Aura storm DOES resemble the Kamehameha.

To be honest, I think the Psychics are the reason Aura users are basically gone. Sabrina's psychics destroyed the Fighting Dojo in Saffron, since Aura is fighting type maybe in some ancient time frame they defeated the Aura users. Could explain why Ash, Aaron and Riley (if he makes an anime appearance) are the only ones left.

How are we to know that Sir Aaron isn't a psychic. Just because he wasn't mentioned as having Psychic abilities doesn't mean he wasn't. sometimes in history, we leave out a bunch of things that, despite being very true, were dismissed just because the History books don't mention it.

Umm, I don't see how Aura Blast or Aura Storm are any different compared to the likes of Psybeam or Confusion. I mean, I can agree with you on submission, Strength, and the other physical moves, but for those abilities, they are flat out psychic attacks since they deal with the mind (If you are able to generate energy without twitching a muscle, like confusion, or any non-elemental/physical attacks, it's a psychic ability as far as I can tell.).

Besides, Zen Headbutt didn't really have anything to do with Psychic energy aside from the fact that it was labeled as a Psychic attack (all it was is a ramming attack, which you need the right amount of speed to concentrate the attack. it never had anything to do with the mind at all.), so that shows that you can't always rely on typing to determine. Besides, in DBZ, they have referenced psychic energy as being the same thing as Ki energy (They use Telekinesis and Telepathy and many other Psychic abilities.).

Also, I thought the Fighting Dojo had to deal with Karate fighters instead of Aura Users. Also, I'm pretty sure there were references to the Aura being accessible to a few people knowingly, Just like what Sabrina said in regards to Psychic abilities being accessible only to a few knowing individuals (Meaning, Psychic abilities are available to everyone, it's just that only a few people are actually aware of their having Psychic Abilities, similar to the Aura Users.)

Aura isn't just used in the psyical world, it is used mostly for mental stuff,

Me and my cousin, Travis, have this like telepathic thing. We can sense when the other is sad and stuff like that. It's really weird. His dad thinks it's cool.

It doesn't mentioned. But we can see Sir Aaron can't control the thinks using the mind, like the Psichics person do.
Other, just because the users of Aura can lunch Energy balls don't mean they can control the objects...
