Many of you must be following the anime..Have u noticed how ridiculously illogical Trip's team is..I mean he's just in Castelia city and already has a Frillish and a lampent...We get litwick after the 5th gym and it evolves into lampent at lvl 41..He has a lvl 41 poke before his 3rd gym -.-..I know anime doesn't follow the games in level and all but this is just pathetic..Oh and btw Ash's still 10 *facepalm*

Yeah, I found that weird as well. It also bothers me that some of Ash's Pokemon evolve super fast.
    Spoiler:

Well, Frillish is a little bit understandable, I mean realistically anyone could go for a swim or get a fishing rod whenever they please. XD Not like in the game.

Lampent on the other hand, I dunno... The anime doesn't really rely on level to evolve, just pressure and intense situations. So it doesn't have to be that high of level to evolve.

Trips Snivy used Leaf Tornado in its first fight. And it won. Even without its electric moves, Pikachu's Iron Tail would have been enough.
Trip is Ash's rival, and Tripp is my beagle's name. I've had her since last year.

Maybe the anime has a different way of evolving pokemon. Maybe it's how long you had the pokemon.
Well about Sewaddle he probably was already at a "high level" or high experience and really close to evolving when ash caught it.

I've been saying this for a while: Anime =/= games. Just because a Pokemon is found in a certain location doesn't mean that it'll be there exactly. Does anyone remember how Ash saw Deerling early on in Unova? You don't get Deerling until later on in B/W.

First off, levels do not have much of a significance in the Anime. And about having Lampent so early, remember Ash's Krabby? That Pokemon had almost no battling experience prior to being used in the Pokemon Leauge. It defeated just one Exeggutor and then evolved. Something similar must have happened with Trip's Litwick.

Oh yes, I'm aware of that, but is it me or it was taking more time for the Pokemon to evolve in previous seasons?

Seawaddle probably evolved soon since it was a Bug, like Caterpie did in EP003. As for previous Generations Chikorita evolved into Bayleef in the 82 episode of Johto Saga, and Treecko evolved into Grovyle AG066, Starly evolved into Staravia in Episode 13. Some are sooner then our first Ash evolution with Pidove to Tranquill and some are evolved way past then. As for Trip having these pokemon evolved already, usually the Rival seems ahead of Ash when it comes to evolved pokemon. Paul had an array of strong pokemon through out the Sinnoh saga, so having Trip having Lampert already is no biggy. Areas in the game do not correlate with the anime, considering they have wild starters in the Anime and not in the game.
