When you have a game that allows you to save whenever you want, do abuse the feature so that you save after ever little thing, or do you save only after the significant stuff?

I am an obsessive saver when it comes to gaming. I hate having to do thing over, even if the task would take a few minutes. Even if the game has an auto-save feature I save manually at every chance.

    Not at all. Mind you, that comes back to bite me sometimes when I die or something goes wrong and I lose hours of playtime. :P For the most part I just save when I see a save point. So for games where there AREN'T save points and it's up to you to save often, I always forget to. XD;

I save, like, aaaaall the time. 8D Even when it's on autosave, I still save. I've experienced too many times where I've lost copious amounts of data from not saving, and I really don't want to walk down that road again. So, I just save all the time, paranoid that it's gonna happen again. Works for me 8D!

It depends on the genre for me. If I'm playing a role-playing strategy game, then I'll definitely save beforehand since the battles can get tediously long, and it's easy for me to lose when I'm not well-prepared. Restarting at the save point would be easier, since I wouldn't be losing anything of importance, such as items. As for any other type of game, I only save my progress when really required, and I wouldn't mind repeating battles as much.

That's a good question. -saves game-

I always save. Wherever, whenever. If there are save points, I try to hit them as much as possible.

    Yes. Yes I am.

In Pokemon Emerald, I caught rayquaza, swam down to go to the city, ran into Latias DIRECTLY after catching him.
I saved around eight times in a row, cause I kept forgetting if I actually saved or not..

I also did that in KH2 after I beat Sephiroth at like, level 58...

It depends on how long it takes for the game to save. On some games like Chrono Trigger, saving is pretty much instantaneous so I do it all the time. However, for other games (the second Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon immediately comes to mind), saving takes a veeeeeeeery long time, so I'm more willing to take my chances.

I Save A lot! like for Example, in Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, I save Every time i reach a new island, or a New Dungeon.

Also, In Harvest moon DS I save A lot as well, Espically, after i Won an event such as a cooking Contest.

For games with a Second save spot, I use that as my Backup save.

    Gah, no..
    I always forget about saving..
About 2 weeks ago, I lost 3 hours of time on Final Fantasy because I got trapped on one level and couldn't get out without restarting..
Even after that, I still hardly ever save. xD

I tend to save a lot, although some games are worse than others. If it uses save portals, I save when I find them and I hardly skip them. If I can save whenever, either I hardly remember until I'm doing something important or want to stop, or I save like mad, all depending on how hard the game is.

    As much as I can!
Nothing enrages me more than getting far, or getting something hard to reach, or beating an almost unbeatable boss or just simply getting ahead so all of the sudden the console can just either freeze or the lights go off. That sucks!...so I save all the time ^_^

I save ALOT! Ever time I do somthing, even something unimportant, I just save, but like when I beat the elite 4 again, even though It saves y its self, when you wake up in your room I save at least twice its very mental,,,lol

I save for anything due to me being overly paranoid...

I'm always afraid that the game will cut off. And I also have to save at least three times just in case... o.o

Well, when I can only use save points, i save whenever I see one. But when I have "Save" in the menu, I save each four steps XD; After a semi-hard battle, after getting some item, after leveling up, after a cutscene...

Yes, I'm a saving paranoid since I had horrible experiences with Zelda games freezing up after 50 mins of game @_@
Majora's Mask was a living nightmare for me.

YES!!! When I have a game that allows me to save, I literally save every 5-10 minutes just to make sure if something good happens I keep it or if I run into trouble I can reset pretty close haha.

Eh, strangely enough I save all the time on games that don't really need it. But on like huge RPG's i'm always punching myself for NOT saving.

Almost every game I play involves the creation of a profile and autosaves my progress.

In the X games I sometimes don't save for ages, then get killed and end up on the other side of the universe in a different ship or without the last factory I built...
Most times and most games with manual saving though, I'm a competent but non-obsessive saver.
