Here is where you can discuss the allure of the Pokémon Stylist in "Arriving in Style."

WE ACTUALLY HAD SOME DIFFERENT JUDGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...*ahem* So now we have a Contest just a slight bit closer to the ones in the game, most notably lacking the battle round. I honestly was surprised at the lack of Fantina, however. Wasn't she supposed to be a major participant in events such as this?

Anyway...what probably stuck out at me the most is the cliche overconfident competitor and her appeal. Personally, I thought that her appeal actually did show off her Pokemon's power, with the way it was manipulating the dress. It would have certainly been enough for a normal Pokemon Contest, at least, which rather contradicts what that one judge mentioned to Dawn. Still, she was a cliche, which meant she was going to lose regardless.

...Oh yes, and I cannot go without mentioning "Ash of the Jungle." I just barely understood what Pikachu was doing with the drum, but...for some reason I was thinking that Ash was supposed to join in or something, or at the very least have Pikachu show off more than Thunderbolt (and Iron Tail if you count that). They definitely deserved the award the two of them got, at least.

Yeah some similar comments. This ep was ok, not as good as last week's in my personal opinion.
*"Brock's finishing up my costume now." Who needs parental figures when you've got Brock? Well, I guess he is the parental figure.
*Ash's costume: it's nice to see him not too serious, because whenever he's in gym-battle-mode it's like he can't take a joke.
*Aw hahaha if I thought either were gay, I would be a BrockxJames shipper, but as is, they're just awesome as friends.
*"And the big winner is…Dawn!" No surprise. The five-ish seconds of suspense were kind of a waste of time.
*As much as I like Team Rocket, I'm really sick of the James-is-right-but-Jessie's-pompous-self-gets-in-the-way-and-then-she-doesn't-listen-to-him theme. It's annoying, frustrating, and I know this won't be the last time. Team Rocket shouldn't constantly be at odds with each other; that just makes it really awkward. Were Jessie to listen to James (by slight humbling in Jessie or growth of backbone in James), it would show real character growth, which the writers seem opposed to. :/

I really thought Pikachu was really big in this episode when compared to Satoshi. But anyway,

-Team Rocket has some pretty cool BGM when they first come on. I'm sure there's someone whoo can tell what it is *coughJorahcough*
-Lady has a "rich Cali girl" voice.
-The blue haired lady (Who I personally call her Madam) is a real eysore.
-Satoshi's costume was pretty embarassing....
-No wait, Team Rocket took that award from him.
-Paris is speaking French in this episode.
-I'm upset by the number of mecha I've been seeing lately.
-Pochama needed to be in this episode, so why not sneek one in there?

It was an alright filler. I wasn't let down or anything so yeah.

Hmm. Filler episode was filler.

I really was unimpressed by the English version of this episode. Three of the worst OEC's I've probably ever seen.

One is a celebrity who lets fame go to her head. It'd be less predictable if she wasn't blonde.
One is...just plain boring. So boring I forgot the roots of her character already, and can't find anything witty to explain it other than the obvious: Someone was on her period.
And the other...The mid-2000's called, they want their fake European accents back, kthnx.

I'm sorry, but really, this episode was just boring. The Mismagius effect was nice, I'll admit. But pretty much all throughout the episode, I was waiting for something interesting to happen. (Not even some airtime for Gliscor? I mean, usually, when a party member's Pokemon evolves, it shows up in the next episode for the people who are all "OMFG -evolved Pokemon-!" And I am "OMFG Gliscor", kthnx.

Good thing next week's episode has an epic use of Gliscor. =D

EDIT: I'll add to what S. Magumarashi said: Piplup needs to seriously gtfo my camera. It's getting really annoying.

Ash has really depended on Brock for a lot of things these days...lol
very different epsiodes...a contest more like of the games, interesting...

who knows maybe this might be the next contest of gen 5, fo a change? I think I'd rather keep the original contest though...imo

but good epsiode, can't wait for the next...

LOTS of original BGM kept in this episode! Apparently, only 3 were cut from this episode! And it was just an all round enjoyable episode that shows Dawn is still recovering confidence-wise from her previous losses. It's really good to see her get a win again and be able to get an ego boost! Also, I loved the Brock and James scenes, they could be friends if Team Rocket didn't steal from them, haha.

- Hearthome again!? I'm getting mixed up with Japan, but he's gonna have to come back again...

Paris doesn't know Brock was in the tag-battle and Jun doesn't know he was in the tag-battle...HILARIOUS.

Paris speaks...french...this has to be one of the worse dub choices for names. Especially seeing as she sounded like a non-french person randomly saying french words WITHOUT A FRENCH ACCENT!

I don't watch the Japanese version but I heard that Paris is her Japanese version name too.

Yeah, Paris is her name in Japanese, so I suppose the dub would thought it would be good to keep it. Although, I'm not sure how many people in France would call their children Paris XD

I like the way James kept sulking during the motto, and Jessie not noticing or caring. Poor James, he gets no respect from Jessie, even though he usually knows what he's doing. At least he and Brock became friends, sort of.

Saw this ep on YouTube, pretty good. Ash and Pikachu's costumes...I did not see that coming. :laugh:

I was surprised to hear Hermione's name...and she looks like Edna Mode, like everyone is saying. What, is Pokemon making cameos now?
