As Darkness Falls- The Call of the Old Chateau

"hehehe..." Mark was again hearing voices. He swore they were real, And that threat that the ghost girl made wasn't exactly pleasant. Either way, the hallway was clear. All that was left was to explore the rooms. Mark wasn't up for splitting up again so he stuck with the group, wherever they wished to go.

Snype was still concerned about his master. Voices...? As weird as it was, the building IS haunted. That was made official as soon as everybody entered. Beside's the neat death experiences, Snype was having a fun time in the Chateau, especially when it came to making friends with some of the other pokemon. Snype wasn't fond of Lucifer, but he couldn't help but chuckle when he peed on Amelia's shoes.

"[kehehe... not exactly a pretty sight, but that was pretty funny... hehe...]"
Snype said to Lucifer.

Amelia eventually got up after being assisted by Nick and started to push on one of the doors, The middle one in particular. She kept pushing on it but it wasn't budging for obvious reasons.

"Uh... Amelia... You could turn the..."

Before Mark could finish, Amelia had Maluu force the door open which proved to be very effective, but seemed to be overdoing it. Mark shrugged and followed Amelia inside the room.

"...You could have just turned the doorknob." Mark said, turning the already unlocked knob on the open door. "Well hey, Guess they won't be locking us in here then eh? Haha..."

Mark was suprised to see pokemon in this building. What he was most curious about was how exactly they were getting in and out of the building... that could be their exit. If it was a small wall, then it could be vulnerable to a good explosion if Mark has to resort to it. If only he wasn't so afraid of that one threat that ghost Reina made...

Snype however, was just as curious. He was able to talk to all of the Dustox as well. "[Hey! All of you up there! How did you all get in here? Hey! Are you listening?]" The Dustox seemed to be too distracted by the light to focus on any of the trainers.At least there was a little bit of light... Even with that, Snype was uncomfortable of what would happen in the future...

Mark felt this would be a good time to bring out somebody with a good eye. "Seeker, Comon out." Mark said, throwing Seekers pokeball. From the bright glow emitting from the ball, came a Xatu who stood firmly on the ground. "Seeker, I know we don't exactly see eye to eye with things, but we need to know what we're up against. Could you take a peek into the future to see whats in store for us?" Mark asked the Xatu desperately.

Snype then jumped in on the conversation. ["Seeker! Geez buddy when was the last time I've seen you out of your ball? You won't believe what happened. Locked in a mansion, the very face a death stareing right at our face, It's nuts! Could you do us at least this favor?"] Snype asked Seeker.

Seeker simply nodded silently looking around the room. Either he was ignoring both of them, Or was actually spectating the very future. Neither Mark or Snype could tell. Seeker was very unpredictable. Soon his right eye began to glow, Possibly due to him viewing the future. He looked at Snype with his one eye and noticed that he was still there in fit shape, but had a strange aura surrounding him. It was pure black, as if it were tearing Snype apart. Infact, Everyone seemed to have a similar aura, all surrounded by a black music note. This odd vision caused Seeker to shudder. What did it mean?

"...You alright Seeker?" Mark said as he saw the Xatu shudder in fear. "...Give us an update whenever you can Seeker. Lets explore the room guys. Maybe there's a key, Or some other exit around here. Search every corner." Mark told everybody.

Snype was worried about Seeker as well. He looked absolutely petrified. ["...Hey seeker, You know all that shaking usually means bad news. Care to share with the rest of the family?"] Snype said with a sarcastic tone around the end. Seeker remained silent for the most part, still observing the future until he finally replied.

["......voices... a voice of death...] Seeker said to Snype. He spread out his wings and let out a cry.

["What? A voice of death? Comon tell me more!"] Snype insisted, Putting his hands seekers shoulder's.

["...Misfortune follows those who know too much...] Seeker continued.

Snype backed out of Seeker's face. ["...Well thanks for the warning I guess. Update us when you can would ya?] Snype asked Seeker. He was silent again, Staring blankly into space. A voice of death? What did that mean...? A voice that can kill? Of all the things that Snype had seen in the Chateau, Seeker was probably the scariest of them all. He always had been ever since Mark caught him.

"A new audiance...hmmhmmhmm..." A mysterious voice said to herself.

Nick watched Amelia and her Espeon knock open a door. He answered no to Mark, after he asked if he had heard a voice; not unbelievable that Mark did, though, as this place was haunted. No, Nick, you can't think like that! You're here to disprove your own fears! He nodded at his own remark, and snickered as Mark explained, very bluntly, that the door Amelia and her Espeon opened was unlocked. He walked over to join them and saw many Dustox swarming towards a naked light bulb hanging from the ceiling. "Vinci, get over here," Nick said, without taking his eyes off of the Bug-types. The Marshtomp waddled over, and shot a stream of mud from his mouth. "No, that's not what I meant!" Nick rushed over to the nearest Dustox who had fallen. She was covered in mud, which Nick wiped off of her. She fluttered away quickly, though, and went to annoy Da Vinci a little. And as the Dustox went out of the doorway, Nick heard a voice in his head.

"Oh, now you've gone and done it!" it said. It was feminine, and Nick turned his head to the back of the room, where the voice seemed to be likely to have come from.

"Hello?" Nick called out, and in answer a throbbing pain pulsed through his head. He fell to the floor, and clutched his head as if he could counterbalance the pain with another source of it. He felt like something was burrowing into his mind, and he tried to force it out, but it was already in too deep. The pain suddenly stopped, and a thought washed over him. "Hey, guys," he said, "there's someone in here that wants to meet us." Then a figure formed where Nick was staring. It looked like a female, maybe about eleven, with large, innocent eyes and a strange, frilly dress with a steel skeleton under it, like under those dresses that women wore that were rounded from the waist down. She seemed a bit young to be wearing it, but, who was he to judge? He looked like he was just fourteen.

"Why, hello." Her voice was hoarse, but welcoming. "It seems you have scared off my friends, and I don't very much appreciate it." She couldn't look nicer, and Nick felt she was the cutest little girl in the world, he just wanted to pinch her cheeks. He felt like he could stay there forever and play with her.

"Oh, no no no. It's all my fault! Please forgive me!" He felt so bad, he just...ugh. He gave himself a facepalm, and then stood up and walked over to her. She was roughly about five inches shorter than him, and he gave her a big bear hug. She hugged him back, and Nick heard a noise behind him. He turned around and looked at the doll on the floor. "Oh, you dropped your doll. Here, let me get it!" He picked up the doll and kissed its forehead. "Here--you--go!" The girl took it with a look of sheer delight on her face. "Oh, my, how rude of me! I haven't even introduced myself yet! I'm Nick, and these are my friends Mark and Amelia!"

The girl's smile only grew. "I'm Leah! Hi Mark, hi Amelia!" She looked at Nick. "Thank you for apologizing and bringing my dolly back to me! Do you want to play house with me?" Her eyes were so big and innocent. Nick couldn't say no. So soon it was that Nick and Leah were sitting in the corner playing with their "baby sister" and waiting for their "mom and dad" to get home. Nick looked over at Mark and Amelia with an impatient look on his face.

"Well, aren't you gonna come and play with us?" Da Vinci looked at Nick suspiciously, and discovered that his eyes were glazed over. He was in a trance!

"Tomp, tomp Marshtomp!" Da Vinci screamed, trying to sign to the two other humans that the little girl was a danger. He hoped, for Nick's sake, that they understood him.

"…You could have just turned the doorknob," Mark said, turning the unlocked knob.
"Aha… yeah I knew that. I just was making sure nothing would pop out and kill me," Amelia replied, although she was lying about knowing the door was open. But… she was pretty sure the doors were stuck before? She looked around the room, but saw nothing else of interest. She turned to leave, and saw Mark release his Xatu. It was shuddering, shuddering fearfully. The things it was seeing were probably unexplainable, and contained more gruesome macabre than any horror flick.

Suddenly, a glob of mud shot past Amelia's face and hit one of the tranced Dustox. It plummeted to the floor. Nick ran over and wiped the mud off of its wings, and it fluttered out the doorway. For some reason, these strange Dustox who somehow got in, seemed to be connected to the house in some way. Not just because they were inside, but because they were so at peace here, while the other Pokémon were frozen in fear.

"Hey, guys, there's someone in here that wants to meet us," Nick said. The hairs on the nape of Amelia's neck stood on end when Nick said that. Amelia slowly turned her head and looked. A girl of about ten or eleven stood there, and she wore a large frilly dress. Her eyes were large and innocent, like a doll. Something was wrong about her. Little girls in fancy dresses don't just walk into big, scary looking houses in order to play with bug Pokémon. That doesn't happen.

"Why, hello," she said. She was a little disappointed at the fact that the Dustox were scared into leaving the room. Speaking of which, where were they? Nick picked up a doll, kissed it, and gave it to the girl. Amelia just stared, stupefied. Who was this girl, and how the hell did she get in? Last Amelia checked, the doors were locked. "I'm Leah! Hi Mark, hi Amelia!" Leah looked at Nick.

"Thank you for apologizing and bringing my dolly back to me! Do you want to play house with me?" Leah asked. Amelia gulped and took a few steps back. Her memory of playing house as a little kid was always being forced to be the family Growlithe who got punished with a newspaper to the head. Maluu and Lucifer sat by, both just staring back at the little girl. Maluu lashed her tail back and forth, and… she was purring.

"Tomp, tomp Marshtomp!" Da Vinci screamed. Maluu blinked at him. "Espe!" she exclaimed, standing up quickly. Lucifer mirrored Maluu's action.
"Umbre!" he yelled out, watching the little girl.

"Um… they're not too sure of this girl," Amelia said to nobody in particular, "and neither am I." Amelia walked toward them and looked at Nick. "Nick? You seem weird. Are you okay?" she asked. Maluu growled angrily at Leah. Yeah, something had to be going on with this strange girl. Maluu was kind to nearly every person she's ever met, and she was full of fear and hate when it came to Leah. Maluu's eyes glowed a bright red, and flames swirled around Leah. Amelia was surprised by this, but in a way she was glad Maluu did it. They would surely find out if this girl was even living.

"Go! Pokéball!" Amelia exclaimed, tossing out a pokéball. The ball flashed and released Monty again. Amelia thought that maybe, just maybe, water would help Nick come to his senses. Or so she hoped. "Monty, use Surf!" Monty gushed out gallons and gallons of water, and the room began to fill up. "Tortle!!" he pushed himself forward and rode on a wave of water, crashing it down on Nick and Leah. The fire Maluu created was immediately put out as the waves cascaded onto it. Amelia may have overdone it... just a tad.

A large blob of mud flew past Mark's face and hit one of the dustox flying around the ceiling. "Ah! Sheesh! Watch it!" Mark exclaimed. Snype was again rolling on the floor laughing. With all of these shenanigans, Snype felt like he was having a field day. All of these pokemon had such mischievous personalities. He loved it!

"Hey, guys, there's someone in here that wants to meet us," Nick said to the group. A young ghost girl, wearing a large frilly dress with a skeleton underneath it. She looked.... innocent. All she wanted to do was play house, or whatever little girls wanted to play. Nick seemed really into the whole act as he was actually enjoying playing with his "Baby sister". The look Nick gave both Amelia and Mark was odd though. Apparently, Mark would end up being the dad and Amelia would be the mom... Mark simply blushed at the though.

"Heh. Seems innocent enough... I'm not exactly a big fan of these games... but..." Before mark could finish, Monty was called out once again and used surf, Drenching the whole room in water. The water ended up getting Mark as well, completely drenching him in the cold water.

Snype was hit as well, but didn't care so much as he watched Mark spit out water. He once again was rolling on the floor laughing after seeing Mark like this. "I think your having too much fun buddy." Mark said to his partner sarcastically. He noticed both Leah and Nick were drenched by water. He wasn't sure how Leah would react but hopefully Nick would regain his senses. However Mark seemed to be falling for it...

Nox 's facial expression remained unchanged, but he nodded to Sakura.

"It's very nice to meet you. My name is Nox. It is my honor to serve you and your trainer."

Nox glared at Mary Ellen when she appeared, and flattened his ears against his head. The ghost paid him no notice, and vanished only a few moments after she appeared. But she wasn't gone. Nox could feel her malice. It left behind a sort of residue, only detectable on a certain spectrum. He glanced over at Sakura, noticing that she was on edge.

"Don't worry. I won't let anything harm you or your trainer. I promise."
~~~~~
Scott looked down at Nox, and frowned. There must have been something strong here if it set Nox off; he tended to ignore anything that wasn't stronger than him. When the Umbreon had calmed down a bit, Scott looked up at Azleyla and smiled. She was, well, Gorgeous.
"I'm Scott. It's very nice to meet you. You've already met my partner, Nox. He must like you; it takes a lot for him to leave my side. You shouldn't have to worry as long as he's with you."
Scott blinked and spaced out briefly. He shook his head a bit before looking back up.
"I should probably send out another teammate shouldn't I? Alright. Luke, we need you."
Scott pulled a Pokeball off of his belt and held it out, releasing the Pokémon that resided within it. The biped stood up straight, the top of its head coming up only to Scott's chest. Its ears twitched briefly, and its eyes wandered over the people around it, reading their Auras. The Lucario walked over to Scott, and stood next to him, with its arms crossed over its chest.
~~~~~

Luke closed his eyes, and extended his aura, trying to get a feel of his surroundings. He retracted his Aura quickly, and shuddered. This was a dark, demented place. Luke opened his eyes again and concentrated on his master's Aura, trying to understand the situation. His master's emotions contained fear, and lust? Luke looked up at the young woman in front of him and chuckled. Even in the most dangerous situations, Scott was still Scott. Luke shook his head and resumed observing his Master's Aura. It was filled with uncertainty, and- Wait. Luke frowned. There was something wrong with his Master's Aura; It was divided. Luke scanned over it again and again. There was no mistake, his master has more than one aura. Luke looked up at Scott with a frown. His Master seemed to notice nothing wrong, perhaps Luke was just seeing things. He opened his eyes and stood, waiting for further instructions.

Scott Smiled at Leyla and gestured to Luke.

"This is Luke, I raised him from a Riolu, He's the backbone of my team, and he's the one I use when I'm in a stressful situation. He's got a clear head and he's powerful." Scott Paused briefly and then looked back up a Leyla. "Perhaps we shouldn't stay here any longer, We need to get out, and We aren't going to find a key just standing around. Nox, I entrust you to watch Leyla and to keep her safe okay?"

Nox nodded and stood up straighter. He wouldn't mess this up. Not for Scott, and certainly not for Sakura.

Scott shifted his pack, feeling the egg incubator shake slightly. He bit his lip, this would be a bad place to have a newborn Pokemon hatch. Hopefully it wouldn't hatch for a few more hours, just enough time to get out. Scott strode carefully across the hall, making sure not to step in anything that used to be Darrius. He stared up at the large doors that stood in front of him and pushed.

Scott's eyes widened at the beauty of the dining room. There were colorful tapestries hanging from the wall, a beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling. Within the center of the room a large table was set up(Containing exactly 66 chairs), with a large Bouquet of flowers at the center of it, still alive and thriving, as if someone had placed them there only yesterday. To the left, a large Dumbwaiter sat, indented into the wall. To the Right, a large door with a Peephole(XD). Scott crept towards the door slowly, It felt like he was being drawn towards it…
Scott paused in front of the door and stood still. He had a bad feeling about what was on the other side of the door. Scott locked his jaw and leaned forward, peering in.

Darkness. That's all. There was nothing else on the side of the door. Scott shrugged and pulled back, but he didn't. The Darkness was surrounding him, and he couldn't move. He turned around, Darkness. He tried to shout for help, but the sound didn't travel. He was nothing, there was nothing around him. Scott Closed his eyes and shook his head. He opened his eyes again and blinked, he was standing a few feet away from the door, sweating and panting.

"What..." He panted. "The. HELL. Was. That?"

Nick stared at Amelia's Espeon, who was regarding Leah with such harshness. "Shush! Stop being so rude!" How could this Pokemon, who seemed so innocent before, be so...demonic now, covering Leah with fire, even? Then, just as he was about to scold Da Vinci for his strange behavior, a huge amount of water covered Nick and Leah. When it receded, he just stared at Amelia. "Why...would...you...do that?" Nick and Leah demanded in unison.

***

Da Vinci thought it was no coincidence that his Trainer and this creepy little girl spoke the exact same thing at the exact same time. He thought it was some kind of witchcraft or magic. Nick's eyes were even burning with an aquamarine fire for a second, but it quickly subsided. "Come on, Amelia. This little girl is being so nice to us, and you have to douse her? I'm beginning to rethink who I'm with here." He looked at Leah with loving eyes, and wrapped her in his arms. She hugged him right back.

Then Da Vinci witnessed something stupendous. Thalia popped out of her Poke Ball for the first time (as far as he knew) and looked at Nick curiously. She seemed fine, and she was just wondering what was going on. Then the same blue fire that raged in Nick's eyes appeared in hers, and she joined in the hug the boy and girl were sharing. They ended the embrace, and Nick introduced Thalia to Leah. "Thalia, this is a friend of mine, Leah!" Thalia happily took the outstretched hand. Leah seemed happy for another new friend. She looked around at the remaining humans and Pokemon, and muttered something. Da Vinci covered his eyes, because apparently the little girl did something with people's eyes to mess them up.

***

Nick and Leah walked, hand in hand, over to the baby doll in the corner. It was soaking wet and it was missing its clothes. Leah seemed in distress. "Oh, dear, look what Amelia did. The baby's naked." She walked over, the skeleton of her dress scraping the floor, and picked up the doll. Nick walked around to look for the clothes. He found them hanging on the light bulb. He jumped up and hit the light bulb, which started swaying. The clothes fell off of it and onto the girl's outstretched arm. She took the clothes and tied the laces that kept them on. "It's okay now, Gwen, sh sh sh, Sissy's got you..." The doll actually looked relaxed, and then when she handed it to Nick, it went limp.

"Oh, Leah, you don't hold a baby like that. She'll--" A small burp rung out, and the doll started crying. "Now she's crying." Nick saw the sad look on Leah's face. "No, no, no!" He knelt down and stroked her hair. "It's just, you hold a baby like this..." He showed her the right way to hold a baby, and after he was done and Leah wiped away her tears, he kissed her forehead and slowly sat down so as not to disturb the now-asleep baby in his arms. She had a hint of Leah in the way she wiped her eyes, Nick's small nose was there too. It kind of looked like Mark and Amelia, with her cold, blue eyes (which he saw when in the corner before Amelia so rudely covered him in water) and his deeply black hair.

He looked at Leah and rested his chin on his fist. "I wonder when Mom and Dad'll get home, Sis." He had a vacant look in his eye, and he sighed. Leah sighed alongside him, and they both waited for Mark and Amelia to come into the room, or "Mom and Dad" to "come home."

When Leyla moved away from Korbin he felt an odd sense of regret, but now was not the time to focus on this sort of thing. He glared distrustingly at the male members of the group, attempting to decide whether he should allow himself to form any sort of pack cohesion with them. At this point, he didn't think so. They would have to prove themselves worthy of his trust before he would allow them to have any of it.

He started walking as Helena felt the ghost's presence. She hissed and stiffened, her fur standing on end. "Hel, what?" Korbin murmured, stopping and looking down at her. There was no visible threat, but he trusted her instincts and felt an imminent danger. Still, he didn't want to seem insane, so he said nothing, and instead continued walking toward the dining room.

The beauty of the room was still present, even in its ruined state. His eyes swept over the different dinnerware, the chandelier draped with cobwebs, and the plates on the table, oddly void of dust. With a frown he examined them, and found that his reflection showed clearly on the surface. He glanced back, intent on keeping all three members of his group together. Whether he liked all of them or not, he wouldn't let them stray. He felt that it was his responsibility to keep them together.

At the back of his mind, he felt a whisper then. 'You'll fail.'

Korbin started, confused as to where the voice could have come from. Was it even real? It was so concrete, he couldn't believe he'd just imagined it. But he had a harder time believing he had actually heard it. Not wanting to think about it, he shook his head violently and crossed the room to Leyla.

"I don't like the things I'm feeling here," he muttered. "If you have any Psychic and Dark types other than your Espeon, I suggest bringing them out. You'll want to be as safe as possible."

Following his own advice, he released his Zorua, Ignotus. The bipedal black fox stretched his limbs and shook, completely at home in the grim setting.

"Be a watchdog, Iggy," Korbin directed. Ignotus blinked an affirmative, and set to work keeping an eye on everything… which meant his eyes fell on Sakura. They widened and he couldn't hold back the vulpine grin that curved his lips.

[Good afternoon, miss,] he said smoothly in his Australian accent.

Surf had no effect on Nick. He was still in to the whole act and acted like a big brother to Leah. It was adorable in a way... he would have easily been fooled that they had known each other since day one. Blue fire was glowing in both Leah and Nick's eyes. That may have had something to do with it but he had learned about this far to late. Leah had looked at everyone else in the room, muttering something. Mark had stared directly into her eyes and had fallen victim. His eyes widened and blue fire began to glow in his own eyes as well.
--------
Snype was just as suspicious as Da Vinci was and covered his eyes as well. Seeker instead teleported and stared at a wall blankly. ["Da Vinci right? It's gotta be the eyes. Something about the eyes... Mark what do you... Mark?"] Snype noticed that Mark had fallen victim to Leah. Mark had been giving off a "I just want to hug her" Kind of look. ["Of all people..."] Snype muttered.
--------
Mark smiled down at both Nick, Leah, And Thalia. Nick had been wondering when their "Mom and dad" Would be coming home. Mark willingly took the role as the dad, who had just gotten home from a big rainstorm.

"Come on. Let's go home and check the kids." Mark said to Amelia cheerfully. "They've been alone for such a long time... especially Leah." Mark held onto Amelia's hand and slowly walked her over to the "kids" and their "pet".

"We're back!" Mark said loudly. "Oh kids, Its such a mess out there. Rain all over the place. I'm soaking wet! Hahaha. That's what I get for leaving my coat here huh?" Mark said, Completely into the act. He looked over to Amelia. "It was nasty out there. Right honey?" Mark said, with the same blue fire glowing in his eyes. Mark's mindset was that of a fathers now.
---------

Snype was bashing his head against the wall, disgusted at Marks behavior. ["No No No! What is he doing?! He doesn't even know any of them! Why'd it have to be you Mark?] Snype looked over to Seeker who had been staring at the wall the whole time. ["Hey Seeker! Any time ya wanna help feel free! All we're doing is losing our MINDS!"]. Seeker kept still. He was actually thinking of how he could free the group from this mind control himself. He just needed time to think of it...

Da Vinci took his flippers away from his eyes and looked at the Sableye. Apparently his name was "Snype," and the Xatu was "Seeker." "I do believe," Da Vinci said, in his native tongue, "that yes, Snype, it has something to do with the eyes. My two oldest friends are in there acting like maniacs, and I have no idea how to stop it..." He turned away from the room and the little girl and looked at the Xatu, Seeker. "Seeker, I presume. Syne is correct in saying that we need everyone's full effort and commitment if we want to get out Trainers back." He then turned to look at the three Pokemon that were bonded to that female human, Amelia.

"Excuse me, but may we get your help on this? Your Trainer may not be in danger yet, but she will be soon!" He looked at the Espeon--Maluu, he believed--Umbreon, and Wartortle, Monty, with pleading eyes. "I beg of you!"

~~~~~~~~~~~
Nick watched Dad drag Mom in through the front door. "We're back!" he said loudly. "Oh, kids, it's such a mess out there. Rain all over the place. I'm soaking wet!" He laughed. "That's what I get for leaving my coat here, huh?" Dad joked. He looked over to Mom. "It was nasty out there. Right, honey?"
"Mommy! Daddy!" Leah ran over towards them. She wrapped them in her arms. "Oh, the storm was so bad, I thought you'd never get home!" She had tears in her eyes. Her big brother shook his head sarcastically behind her, burping Gwen all the while.
"She overreacts to every little thing," he said. "She's calm when nothing's going on, but when you go to work she's thinking of every way you could get hurt!"
She let go of Dad and turned around. "Do not!" she yelled.
"Do to!"
"Do not!"
"Do--oh, now look, you made Gwen cry! Shh, shh, it's okay, Bubby's gotcha, Bubby's gotcha..." The baby slowly calmed down and Nick held her in his arms as she fell asleep. "Ohh, she looks so sweet and innocent, doesn't she?" He looked at Leah. "Sorry, kiddo. I'm just tired 'cause I had to keep Gwen busy."
"'ts okay, I guess. I do tend to overreact, I really do. I'm just a bit defensive, that's all." She looked at Nick with a big smile. There was the crack of thunder, and everyone, save Mom, looked out the window at the far side of the room. Gwen woke up immediately and started crying. "Ugh. Here, lemme see her, Nick." Leah held out her arms, and Nick put the crying baby in them. Leah looked normal now, with a plain white tee-shirt and blue jeans. Her sandy blonde hair was up in pigtails, and her big, innocent green eyes were hidden behind pink-framed glasses with swirls all over the plastic.
As the next crack of thunder sounded, the room flashed and everything was back to normal, but only until the lightning faded. Something strange was definitely going on here...
"Excuse me, but may we get your help on this? Your Trainer may not be in danger yet, but she will be soon! I beg of you!" Nick's Marshtomp, Da Vinci, said to Amelia's three Pokémon.
"Of course! What can we do?" asked Maluu.
"Hey… nobody's really filled me in on what's happening!" Monty said, completely oblivious of the situation.
"You're so slow, man," Lucifer said to Monty with a sigh. Monty glared at him.
"Shut up, nobody asked you!" he exclaimed.
"GUYS, stop!" Maluu shouted at them. Lucifer and Monty both shut up.
---------------------
Amelia rubbed her eyes as water splashed into them. She looked at Nick and Leah, who were soaking wet but didn't really appear to care. Thalia was out of her pokéball, and hugged both of the two "children". They played and fiddled around with some sort of realistic baby doll. Mark smiled at them.
"Come on. Let's go home and check the kids." Mark said to Amelia cheerfully.
"They've been alone for such a long time... especially Leah." He grabbed Amelia's hand and walked slowly to Nick and Leah.
"What the hell, what's-"
"We're back!" Mark announced loudly.
"Oh kids, it's such a mess out there. Rain all over the place. I'm soaking wet! Hahaha. That's what I get for leaving my coat here, huh?" Mark joked, even though he made absolutely no sense whatsoever. He looked over to Amelia.
"It was nasty out there. Right, honey?" Amelia's frown made a crease on her forehead. Mark was hypnotized into this little act also. Amelia wasn't looking at the little demon girl's eyes, which probably caused the hypnotism with the blue flames. She took a breath as she was about to say something, but was promptly interrupted.
"Mommy, Daddy!" Leah ran over to Amelia and Mark, and hugged them.
"M-Mommy?" Amelia stuttered. This kid was strange. Amelia was pretty sure she's never had kids. Most children like to play house, for whatever weird reason. This girl was no different. She seemed so innocent, maybe it was even possible that she was only trying to get some friends. Playmates.
"Oh, the storm was so bad, I thought you'd never get home!" Or maybe she was just delusional.
"She overreacts to every little thing," Nick said. "She's calm when nothing's going on, but when you go to work she's thinking of every way you could get hurt!"
He and Leah continued squabbling, and all of a sudden, Leah was wearing a white-as-a-sheet shirt and blue jeans. Her blond hair was up in pigtails, and she wore pink-framed plastic glasses with swirls all over them. First the doll turned into a baby, and then Leah's appearance changed just like that. The only thing missing was a The Sims expansion pack. Amelia grimaced at the children. This would be painful to do, but Amelia felt the need to try and push her luck. She commanded Maluu to kill the "baby" but not out loud. Maluu read Amelia's thoughts.
"Espe! Onnnnnnnnnn!" she exclaimed as she shot a direct Signal Beam at the baby doll. It was possible that killing it would trigger some sort of reaction in Leah- perhaps a weak spot, and that would be the chance to save Nick and Mark. Lightning flashed and the room returned to normal… for that moment. Blood began to trickle down one of the walls, as if somebody had just stabbed it with a bayonet. It cried out in its crimson pain. Amelia's eyes widened and she looked around.
"Guys? I mean, kids, the house is bleeding."
"You make me sad," a voice said in Amelia's head. Suddenly, everything and everyone froze before her. The thing was, she still heard Maluu shooting Signal Beam. Everything was probably only frozen in Amelia's point of view, but in actuality, it wasn't.
"What did I do?"
"You're hurting the newborn."
"No."
"Yes."
"Do I know you?"
"I think you should."
"Get out of my head, please."
"Leave the baby alone, or else."
"Or else what?" Amelia asked, but she immediately wished she hadn't.
The voice paused. "Every live creature in this house will be torn limb from limb."
"What if the baby is already dead?"
The surroundings became normal again, only now Lucifer was running toward Leah with his fangs bared.
(Yeah, my character's never have any love interests! =P Loner Victory...oh, sad face.)
Nolvic stayed behind the group, preferring not to draw anybody else's ire. Scott and Korbin seemed to be fauning over Leyla, Scott could be following baser instincts, but Korbin was too focused on survival, what he was doing must be a mix of chivalry and.....more? The Dining room was so huge and elaborate, Nolvic looked around admiring the beautiful place.....but. "Wow everything is so well preserved....wait, but this place is so old, everything couldn't possibly have been set up as recently as it appears.
Seeker stood guard near Nolvic, the human female already had plenty of protection, but Seeker was the only one worried about his master's health, if something attacked Nolvic, seeker was sure nobody would jump to his defense. Seeker felt a feeling of immense distress and frustration that wasn't his own. [.....Snype? I'm feeling a lot of negative emotions, if danger isn't too imminent than may I ask, what is wrong?] It worried Seeker that everything was so quiet and somewhat calm besides the emotions he was feeling from Snype, they had been locked in and one of the humans was ripped to shreds but after that....nothing, they were being left alone for the moment, and that could only mean worse things were yet to come.
Angela followed the group of trainers while still trying to piece together her muddled mix of memories and feelings, two of the boys were sort of obsessing over the girl except for the boy who seemed so familiar, it made her remember of all the guys who used to try doing nice things for her.....or did she? She was certainly in this house now, and she hated it but...everything before the house seemed like a dream, a child's fantasy. Angela watched one of the boys walk over to a door and peer through the peephole and then freeze for a few moments before breaking out into a sweat and breathing heavily, she noticed the familiar boy looking around and went to speak to him. "So what do you think of this place?.......Hello?" He seemed to not be paying attention so she reached her hand to touch his back, she felt him but her hand went right through him.
Nolvic looked closely at the dining table, he could see his face so clearly. "Wheres all the dust? I don't under-guh!" For a moment Nolvic saw his face become that of a handsome young man and a bow-tie right before the table ended, he was handsome and obviously noble and yet there was something distorted about his face. "Who could that be?" As Nolvic bent to examine the table he felt something slightly familiar touch him, but when it passed through him the sensation was so invading he slammed his face into the table before he could examine his reflection. "Argh!"
Nolvic decided to ignore the throbbing pain in his nose and check on the others, Leyla seemed to be by herself for the moment so Nolvic whispered to her. "I noticed you seem to be getting a lot of attention, don't worry, I'll give you plenty of space." Nolvic nearly jumped when he heard heavy breathing and he looked in the direction he heard it from, Scott was standing next to a door with a peephole and seemed freaked out about something. "Something wrong?" Nolvic said, walking up to him.
Mark smiled as Leah hugged both him and Amelia. "You don't need to worry so much kiddo. Me and your mom work very hard out there but I assure you that we don't get ourselves in much danger." Mark said, Looking at Amelia with a smile as if she really were the mom of the family. He put his arm around Amelia's waist and leaned on her.
---------------------
Seeker stood firm as Da Vinci requested his help. His eyes began glowing as he opened his wings, letting out a cry. After wraping his wings around himself again, He finally responded. ["...I shall help. I have seen that I am involved with the events of the future. I have no choice but to follow as time predicts."]
When it came to being Paranoid, Seeker took the cake. Snype was never great friends with seeker and kind of wished that Mark had chosen Sheen instead. Snype began to hear voices in his own head but luckily it was a friendly one.
[.....Snype? I'm feeling a lot of negative emotions, if danger isn't too imminent than may I ask, what is wrong?] The voice came from the other Seeker.
Snype responded through the use of the Aura. ["Oh we're fine over here. Little girl has taken over our trainer's minds, They're playing house, And right now I'm smashing my head in the wall because of how out of character Mark is acting right now. Just fine!"] Snype said sarcastically to seeker. [Amelia is still sane luckily. The room is unlocked but our trainers can't leave. This girl is doing some...] Snype stopped at response to Amelia's own actions.
Amelia's Espeon shot a signal beam at the baby doll. While it was just a doll, Snype sort of felt disgusted hearing it cry in death. Mark's eyes widened as the baby doll had been hit. He was oblivious to the fact that the walls around him began to bleed. "T..The baby!" Mark said, unaware that this was Amelia's doing. Afterwards, Lucifer began to lunge toward Leah with his fangs barred.
"Get away from her!" Mark yelled, As he jumped in the way, Pulling Amelia with him. "Get behind me! I know how to deal with wild animals." Mark said, pulling out a poke ball. "Sheen! Protect them!" Mark yelled as he threw the poke ball below him. A Zangoose materialized out of the pokeball as it sharpened up its own fangs.
Mark held Amelia close. "I won't let anyone hurt you or this family. I swear it." He whispered, Still hypnotized into the act.
---------
Snype's eyes widened as sheen was let out of his ball. ["Sheen! Sheen! Don't listen to him! Mark has gone nuts!"] He yelled out. Sheen looked over to Snype confused as to what was going on in the first place. Blood on the walls, An odd looking girl behind Mark, It was too much for him to understand. ["Snype? What's..."] Sheen looked into Leah's eyes closely.
["No no no no no! Don't look at her you bonehead!!!"] Snype yelled out before it was to late. Sheen had become as light headed as Mark had become, Which was saying something as Sheen was light headed to start with. [Damnit Damnit Damnit!] Snype yelled bashing his head against the wall again. Why did it have to be Sheen? He was the best fighter out of all of Mark's pokemon, Snype was willing to admit that. But not only that, Sheen was like a big brother to Snype. [Lucifer! Watch yourself! Sheen is no pushover!] Snype yelled out.
"Sheen, Protect the family." Mark said to him. Sheen obeyed and held out his claws threateningly to Lucifer. ["An enemy to the family is an enemy of mine. Back off before I get violent punk."] Sheen said to Lucifer, his eyes burning with the same blue fire as the others.
Seeker glared at each of the pokemon. His eyes began to glow as he had prepared future sight...
((Is Mark being to fatherly ya think? o.o Guess thats a good thing in some cases :p))
Sakura smiled at Nox again.
[It is very nice to make your aquaintance, Nox.] she said quietly. [And thank you for your assistance in watching over my Mistress, though I do not believe that I will need guarded as well.] She said this in a teasing tone, so Nox would know that she wasn't being rude.
-----
Leyla gave her most dazzling smile to Scott, who introduced himself to her. She didn't want to seem weak, not even when it was perfectly normal to be.
"Hello, you probably already know this, but I'm Azleyla. Leyla, for short." she answered, petting Sakura's head lightly as she spoke. She nodded in acknowledgement at Nox, who was at her feet by Sakura, just as Scott vocalized. She felt slightly uneasy, but she shook it off.
Leyla blushed slightly when Scott intructed Nox to protect her, yet in the back of her mind, she felt a slight resentment at the fact that he thought she needed extra protection. She ignored it.
Leyla was floored by the sheer beauty of the dining room that they entered. You could tell that it once shown with splendor, even more so than it did now.
She inspected a vase of roses on a nearby table. They were perfect, it seemed as though they were placed there only moments before. She felt a petal; flawless and completely alive.
As she peered into the reflective silver of the spotless vase that the flowers sat in, she realized that her reflection changed for a split second. It was no longer the beautiful young woman, but rather what seemed to be a younger version of herself, her face grimy and hair in sausage curls. A sadistic grin spread across the reflection' face, thus not mirroring the expression of shock that was plastered on the true Leyla's face.
And in that same split second, it was gone. Leyla found herself staring, dumbstruck and terrified, at her own, beautiful reflection once more.
She swallowed uneasily, and moved away from the flowers.
Korbin approached her then, he seemed to also be uneasy about something.
"Okay, uh, thanks." she answered him, looking off to the side slightly. Scott was peering through a door. He seemed to be distressed.
"What's wrong with Scott?" she asked, her voice taking on a higher pitch. She watched him react to an unknown force.
"What. The. HELL. Was. That?" he asked, blinking rapidly. Leyla frowned.
"What was what?" she asked, then approached the door cautiously. She wanted to be brave, and show the others that she didn't need as much protecting as they thought.
She peered through the door, hoping for the best, but fearing the worst.
At first nothing.
Then she spotted two people in dim lighting. There were what looked to be luggage, duffel bags, around them. Four of them.
They were doing something that Leyla didn't understand.
They were sitting, crossed legged. And they seemed to be
Eating.
But what?
Then Leyla realized what was happening. Those duffel bags were not bags at all, as they seemed to be in the almost total-darkness.
They were corpses.
And the two men were eating them.
Leyla gagged as she realized that she recognized the bodies.
Her parents.
Her brother.
And her best friend.
All muliated, chunks of flesh torn from their bodies, blood weeping from several wounds. Intestines, brain matter, and torn flesh littered the ground around the two cannibals.
Leyla tried to close her eyes, to move away and not see any more of this horror, but she found that she could not.
She struggled, but hands seemed to grip the back of her head and her body, forcing her to continue watching. A chuckle, a mere breathy chuckle sounded in her ear.
Leyla almost screamed as she struggled. She found that she wasn't breathing.
And then she fell.
Her captor let her free.
Leyla stumbled as she was able to move away. She turned, and walked quickly to where Korbin was standing.
She said nothing, she only rubbed her gooseflesh arms, and ignored how cold the room seemed.
"Well, I would advise you not to look in there." she said formally, quietly to Korbin, not looking at him.
-----
Sakura smiled at Ignotus as he approached her.
[Good afternoon, sir.] she said, watching Leyla's every move. [Come here often?]
OOC: I'm sooo stupid....
"What the hell?!" Nick yelled as a beam of light shot through Gwen. He saw her just...fade in his arms. He looked at Leah with amazement and despair. She looked back with enraged and sad eyes. Dad sent out Sheen, his Zangoose, and he told it to protect the family. "Dad..." Nick looked at Sheen. As far as he could remember, Sheen had never had to have been called out to protect the family. "Thalia, get over there and help Sheen!" She did as Nick said, and waited for the Umbreon to make a move...
Leah just freaked out next to Nick, and then she screamed. She just screamed, a piercing sort of noise. Then she started crying and said, in a demonic voice, "Dad, KILL IT! KILL THEM ALL!"
***
Da Vinci looked at Seeker, who was readying a Future Sight. "Good, good..." Da Vinci was stressed out. He looked over to Amelia's Pokemon, and relayed the story to Monty. Then he said, first to Maluu, who had shot the Signal Beam at the baby doll. "Good job with the baby, Maluu. I need you to distract the girl by shooting Signal Beams at her." He then looked at Monty and the Umbreon, the latter with his back turned now. "I need you two to help Seeker fend off the Zangoose. Snype," he said, turning to the Sableye, "I need you to help me with Thalia. I think I need to be the one to take her down, but you must help me; admittedly, she is stronger than me."
He looked at the team of Pokemon, and then at Amelia. There was an air of fear about her. "Ahh, we have someone on the other side with a clear mind..."
***
Nick and Leah looked at the Pokemon, who were conferring with each other. "Those are our Pokemon; what are they doing? Well, all of them except the Espeon and Umbreon and Wartortle. But they must be the source of the opposing force." Leah was good at spotting strategies, Nick observed.
"Come on, Da Vinci!" Nick called to his Marshtomp. "Oh, and you too, Snype, Seeker! You guys are in danger!"
"Get away from her!" Mark yelled as he jumped in Lucifer's way and pulled Amelia with him. Lucifer slid to a stop and glared at Mark. "Get behind me! I know how to deal with wild animals."
Amelia blinked at him and couldn't help but sigh at how ridiculous that statement was. Mark was sure out of it, much to Amelia's dismay. He pulled out a pokéball and tossed it as he yelled, "Sheen! Protect them!" A Zangoose materialized from the pokéball and sharpened up its own fangs.
It was surely an unfortunate thing that visiting the Chateau for this expedition was messing up everybody's mind in such stupid ways. Hearing voices, playing house with little demon girls, watching some blond guy get slaughtered to a heap of macabre flesh, the list went on. Just about a day ago, Amelia and her Pokémon had been staying at a hotel and eating tacos while watching Scooby Doo, Where Are You! on one of the TV's seven only channels. This was only somewhat similar, because Amelia was now the one finding the ghosts, instead of watching cartoon teenagers do it. Another difference was that these ghosts were the real deal, not some creepy old guy in a suit.
Mark held Amelia close and whispered, "I won't let anyone hurt you or this family. I swear it." Amelia stared at him for a short moment and pushed him away with her hand against his face. "I'm good," she said, looking down and getting a nice reminder of the bloody and peed-on white shoes she was wearing.
The Zangoose didn't move a muscle, that is, until it looked at the little demon girl's blue, firey eyes and was hypnotized into the act.
"Sheen, protect the family," Mark said. ["An enemy to the family is an enemy of mine. Back off before I get violent, punk,"] Sheen told Lucifer. Lucifer became enraged at the threat, and snarled maliciously. Amelia had never heard him utter a growl, let alone a snarl, with such brutal hatred. That was saying something. "What the hell?!" Nick yelled as the beam shot through Gwen and made her fade away. "Dad… Thalia, get over there and help Sheen!" Maluu stopped the Signal Beam and stared grimly at Nick and Leah. "Dad, KILL IT! KILL THEM ALL!" Leah said in a demonic voice. She sounded exactly how a normal child would sound in the situation of him or her not receiving their long awaited Happy Meal toy, or at least that's how it sounded to Amelia.
-----------
"Good job with the baby, Maluu. I need you to distract the girl by shooting Signal Beams at her," Da Vinci said. Maluu glanced at him. "Of course, Da Vinci." She opened her mouth wide and began charging a Signal Beam.
-----------
"Those are our Pokemon; what are they doing? Well, all of them except the Espeon and Umbreon and Wartortle. But they must be the source of the opposing force," Leah stated, although Amelia was a bit confused at what the point of the statement was. Maluu discharged the beam directly at Leah. "Come on, Da Vinci!" Nick called to his Marshtomp. "Oh, and you too, Snype, Seeker! You guys are in danger!"
Amelia stepped away from Mark in order to get a better view of her Pokémon. "Alright Lucifer, you know how to start off." Lucifer closed his eyes and stood still. His rings glowed softly for a few moments, and then he opened his eyes again. Wish was a useful thing to have at times like these. "Good. Now Monty, quickly Aqua Jet that furball," Amelia said calmly. She ignored Thalia, because it appeared Da Vinci and Snype were ready to take care of her.
Monty nodded. "Wartortle!" he withdrew his head and limbs into his shell, and an explosion of water blasted out through the holes. The water rapidly guided him toward the Zangoose. "Sheen has a nice coat," Amelia acknowledged.
Mark got confused after hearing the demonic voice. Leah...? It was weird. His mind was going all over the place after hearing that odd voice. "Damnit what am I doing... I'm better then this..." His inner conscience thought. Lucifer was growling in response to Sheen's threat to attack. ["I'll take that as a no. Your loss."] He responded. Holding out his claws toward Lucifer. Before lunging towards Lucifer, something hit him out of nowhere. His head began to hurt from the impact of the attack.
Seeker sighed as Future sight worked and managed to hold off sheen for awhile. Afterwards, Monty used Aqua jet to rush toward Zangoose and directly hit him while he was in his stunned state. ["Good. This one is no quitter though Monty."] Seeker said.
Sheen quickly got up after being hit by aqua jet. Now he had three pokemon to deal with. ["You done yet?"] Sheen said, Lunging toward Monty with X scissor. However the attack was interrupted. Before Sheen could hit Monty, Seeker teleported right in between the two fighters and used reflect to make a defensive barrier around his teammates. Sheen's attack bounced off of the barrier and sent him back into a fighting stance. "The future says we'll win. I'm not worried." He said confidently.
Mark trained his pokemon to be able to fight without the need of commands. Each of them are able to make their own choices so he didn't have to worry if they get Separated. "Seeker what are you doing? Your my pokemon! What happened to you.. ugh..." Mark's head began to hurt in confusion.
Meanwhile with Snype, He nodded at DaVinci. ["Kehehehe , I'll trust you on that then. Mark is gonna be in for it once he wakes up."] Snype responded. He already took a liking to DaVinci. He certainly had the personality and voice of a leader. ["I'll be right back."] Snype said as he faded through the shadows in the floor and stealthly crawled toward Thalia using Shadow sneak. Snype appeared right behind her and attempted to scratch Thalia from behind.
Mark noticed Snype appear nearby about to attack Thalia. "Snype... Whats gotten into you...?" Snype was Mark's best friend... why would he go against his master...? It made no sense... Mark's thoughts had been going all over the place. Something was wrong.
Nick watched as his own family's Pokemon went against him. "Wha...Ugh..." His head started spinning, and he fell to the floor. His brain throbbed, and he saw Leah rush to his side. "Get...off...of...me!" he screamed. He kicked at her, and as if she was a basketball, she flew across the room at the wall opposite. He saw that it had been bleeding now. He clutched his head, as this was all too much to take in. He moaned, and suddenly, the pain was gone.
And he remembered it all. "Thalia!" The Gardevoir turned around. The fire faded from her eyes, and she saw Snype coming. She dodged his hit, and looked at her Trainer. Nick nodded, and before anything else could happen, she used Psychic to lift Nick (for he were all she could carry) and stealthily darted towards the other Pokemon, seeking to help them.
***
Nick was out of it! And Thalia was bringing him over! Apprently she was out of her trance, also. She approached quickly, avoiding Snype's attack. "Da Vinci! I don't know what came over me..." she said as she set nick down beside them.
"I do. It was the girl. She's evil. I think she's a ghost or something or other. We have to get Mark and Sheen out of her grasp, and get Amelia over here!" Da Vinci watched Leah get up from the floor and drag herself to the corner. Maluu looked like she was charging a Signal Beam. Then he looked at Amelia's other Pokemon. "You guys are doing great. Just keep Sheen busy." He called out to Snype next. "Snype, get over here! Thalia's back!"
***
Nick looked at the Pokemon. They were working together like they had known each other their whole lives. And it looked like Da Vinci was coordinating their actions! "Da Vinci!" The Marshtomp looked at him with relieved eyes. "Are you leading them?" He nodded bashfully, and looked back at Leah. Nick followed his gaze.
She looked horrible. Her clothes were back to creepy, and soon they weren't even there. Then her skin wore away, as did her black flesh, until she was nothing but blood-red bones. She stood up, light flashing through her from the light above, and she wailed a ghhostly wail; "DON'T LEAVE ME! I WANT A FAMILY!!!" Then she burst into an eerie blue flame and started floating on the spot. "AGHHHHH!!!" she screamed, and aimed at Nick with hollow eye holes.
"YOU--DIE--FIRST!!!"
Snype missed the attack and fell to the ground face first. ["Omph... Smooth..."] He said. Thankfully, Both Nick and Thalia's minds were back to normal which ment less strain for Snype. All that was left was Mark and Sheen. Da Vinci told snype to go back over to his side but he ignored the order and ran over to Mark.
Mark noticed Nick kick Leah right into the wall. From the impact, It began to bleed. "What...? Why would he hurt... Whats going on?!" Mark yelled, clutching his head. There was definitely something wrong. The whole family had gone out of whack. The only one hadn't gone crazy was sheen but Mark was close to realization.
["Mark! Mark! Stop it! Your not yourself!"] Snype yelled out from under Mark's feet, tugging on his pants. Mark couldn't understand what Snype was saying, but he still had to try. Mark looked down at Snype, still confused.
"...Snype...? The family is in danger..." Mark said looking down at the tiny Sableye.
["Geez your like a Slowbro having a field day... Snap out of it!"] Snype continued. Mark put his hand over his face. Nothing was right. His own pokemon had been yelling something at him. Then... he came to realization. He wasn't a father, and certainly had no kids. He was Mark, Professional Theif. A loner... except for his own pokemon.
Behind snype, Sheen was still recovering after hitting the protective barrier. When he looked over to mark, He noticed that one of the "enemys" Were close to his master. ["Snype...Traitor..."] Sheen muttered. Without a second thought, He lunged toward Snype using crush claw.
"Snype!" Mark yelled, pushing Snype out of the way. Sheen tried to halt his attack but ended up cutting mark's left shoulder and leaving a small mark on it. The cut caused mark's left sleeve to fall off. "Ack!" Mark muttered in pain, putting his hand over the bleeding shoulder.
"Sheen! Stop! Heel! They're not our enemies! The girl is!" Mark insisted.
Sheen was still confused... But he never did doubt his master. He quickly obeyed mark and ceased his attack on the other pokemon, still unsure of what had gotten in to him. His own mind slowly began to go back to normal as well.
["Sheen! What are you doing?!"] He yelled out, dissapointed in his actions. Sheen looked down at Snype nervously and replied. ["Er... I was... um... Fooling them! Yeah it was all part of the plan. I had to convince that girl I was really on their side."] Sheen lied.
["Was cutting Mark's left shoulder part of this magnificent plan?"] Snype replied. Sheen was silent and looked down the floor with an embarrassed look on his face.
Mark and his pokemon walked over to the group which had all gotten out of Leah's grasp. Everybody seemed to be sane again but Mark remembered how stupid he acted before. Mark looked at Amelia, blushing a little. "Erm... Sorry..." He said to her nervously, still holding his bleeding arm. It was of emberessing doing the whole father act, and it was even more emberessing treating Amelia as if she were the mother. He didn't want to think of it any further.
On the other side of the room, Leah had been burning in a large blue flame. She screamed at everybody about wanting a family. Mark began to sympathize with the girl. Mark's family had abandoned him, therefore he never had the experience of being with one. The girl's motives weren't pure, but maybe all she wanted were people that she could be near... a father to hug, A mother to put her to sleep, And a brother, Someone that could be a nussience, or your closest friend.
His train of thought was put to a halt as Leah shot a burst of blue flame toward Nick...
Nick began to regain his sanity. Leah rushed to his side, but he kicked her, sending her flying across the room as if he were performing a kickoff in football. He clutched his head, and called out to Thalia. She returned to normal also, in sync with her trainer. Leah's skin tore off until she was nothing but blood-red bones. Now she actually resembled the real demon she was.
"DON'T LEAVE ME! I WANT A FAMILY!!!" She burst into blue flames and floated up. She let out a piercing scream and looked at Nick with her hollow eye holes. "YOU--DIE--FIRST!!!" What a b***h. Mark came back to his senses, too, and interfered with Sheen's attack on Snype, getting a bloody gash on his shoulder. Amelia stared up at the raging Leah and backed up a few steps. Mark walked over and blushed.
"Erm… Sorry…" he said nervously, holding onto his shoulder still. "Don't worry…" Amelia said with little enthusiasm as she continued staring at the angered spirit. Just then, a white light glowed on Mark's arm, attempting to heal it. Since he was the only one to have suffered much damage during this "battle", Lucifer's Wish healed him.
Hearing Amelia's telepathic request, Maluu enveloped Leah in her own, red-orange fire. Amelia was fighting Leah, but she was somewhat tempted to pray aloud. This seemed to work for everybody who accidentally moved into possessed houses. With Leah stuck in a ball of fire, they might have had a chance to escape or to attack her.
Amelia always wanted to show how brave she was, but s**t, this situation was unlike any she's been in before. "Guys, I think I'm going to use this opportunity to…" The fire quickly started to fade, but Maluu used HP Fire again to actually try and burn Leah, instead of just trapping her. "RUUUUN!" Amelia opened the door, taking note that it was unlocked, and ran like the wind down the hall. Maluu stopped the fire and ran after Amelia.
"Monty, Lucifer, hold the door or something!" They did as they were told and held the door, so that the others could escape if they decided not to try and defeat Leah. It would be pretty hard, after all. Amelia looked around, trying to find where to run to next. A laundry chute caught her eye, but it would be pointless to climb down. The other group was already searching downstairs, so Amelia needed to stay up.
"Where the hell are you going?" the same voice from before said in Amelia's head. She ignored it and grabbed the knob of the nearest door. She turned it and attempted to open the door, but this particular door was locked. Amelia looked around, and she realized she wasn't in the same hallway.
Everything here looked completely different. She took a couple of steps back and tripped over something. "Oof!" she cried, as dust flew up and Zubats scattered around the dark room she landed in.
"Maluu, how'd we get here?" Amelia asked, sitting up. It was completely silent here, and the others were nowhere to be seen. "Espe," Maluu replied, also dumbfounded. Her ears twitched as she observed the new environment.
"Are we in a figment of my imagination again?" Amelia asked to nobody but herself. "You found it. I applaud you," the voice said, getting deeper. Wasn't this beautiful? They meet an evil demon, Amelia runs off like an idiot, and now she was lost. She was better off still trying to show off her courage, that would have been useful.
Mark felt a warm sensation on his wounded shoulder. In an instant, It was completely healed. Mark wasn't sure what was responsible for it but he simply smiled in relief. Maluu stepped in to protect the group from the raging Fire that Leah was about to engulf them in. Maluu engulfed Leah in a big orb of fire to temporarily stop her.
Just as the fire was about to wear off, Amelia shouted "RUUUUN!" and quickly jolted out of the door recklessly. It seemed to be the only option but Mark didn't get a warning about running away.
"Amelia! Wait a Sec...Wha?" Just as Mark was about to join him, The floorboards below him quickly opened up and caused Mark to be sent falling. "Ah!" He yelled as he fell into the dark abyss. Snype And Sheen looked down the hole and followed suit to make sure their master was ok. Seeked however stayed put. He could teleport to marks location at anytime but he wanted to keep an eye on Nick. Seeker wasn't interested in following Mark anyways. The two never really saw eye to eye with most things...
Mark kept falling through what seemed like an endless pit. It was only a two story building. There's no way it could be this long of a fall. "Oh Mark. You had the potential to be such a good father to... You acted so sweet..." The same ghastly voice from before said. Reina...
The dark abyss eventually began to solidify into a small crawlspace. He was on his stomach after the long fall but he didn't feel a hard impact. It was like he was teleported. Whatever the case, He was between both the first and second floor of the Chateau. He could tell because he could hear faint voices coming from the floor below him. There was a small hole he could look through to see what was happening downstairs.
The group that was on the first floor seemed to be looking through a door with a distressed look on their faces. Seems that Mark's group wasn't the only one facing the supernatural. There wasn't much that Mark could do from where he was. And if he were to say anything, That would probably scare the group even more.
"Snype? Sheen? Seeker?" Mark called out as he crawled through the tiny crawlspace. Only two of them followed. Snype and Sheen ended crawling along side Mark. Snype simply waved with a large grin on his face.
["Hey Sheen, nice job getting so easily controlled buddy. That was almost as emberessing as Marks performance."] Snype said to Sheen.
["You haven't told me whats going on. What is this place and what was with that crazy pyromaniac back there?"] Sheen replied.
Snype explained everything to sheen as they moved through the crawlspace. While explaining, Mark tried feeling around to find some kind of opening so he could end up in some other room hopefully.
