    As Darkness Falls
    (Welcome to the Old Chateau)
    pg-16+

    Welcome to the REPO new recruits! We are the Restoration Exploration Protection Organization. Our Job is to restore protect and explore the Sinnoh, Johto, Kanto, and Hoenn regions' landmarks and important buildings. We expect every new recruit to be strong, tough, brave, and able to confront any situation, no matter how dim, hopeless, or terrifying the situation may be. In the past, we have had accidents involving restoration, but our recruits have always come out on the other side, stronger than ever. We ask you to join our noble group, not just to increase your strength, but also to help protect the landmarks that make this world great. If you do decide to join us, you may contact our company at the following email address: [email protected]. We look forward to working with you.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    YOU are a REPO recruit, you have enlisted just in time for the next mission, the exploration of the Old Chateau. It is your job to enter this historic building, and explore its ancient halls. Others will join you, for this building has been here for centuries, and it may be a bit....unstable inside. you will need all the help you can get if you want to successfully complete this mission. Saftey is our number one concern, and there is saftey in numbers. If you can find enough historic information within this crumbling structure, then we may be able to save it, and make sure it gains status as a regional monument.
    Current Information:
    • The building known as the Old Chateau resides in the Eterna forest in the Sinnoh region.
    • It is built in a gothic style, reports claim it to be centuries old.
    • According to Eyewitness reports, the building is thought to be haunted. Fact? Fiction?
    • Gardenia visits daily, and she often expresses her thoughts on the building. Possible Recruit???
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Description of the old chateau > Eyewitness accounts:

    Anonymous: "The place is Haunted, I know that for a fact. took one step inside and was blasted straight back out into the large gate that serves as the entrance. I think you'd have to be brave to even look at the place."

    Ace Trainer Julie: "OMG! that place is the most terrifying location in all of existense. I..i lost three of my pokemon in there, we were down in the kitchen, the appliances..."(At this point the eyewitness burst into tears, and we couldn't get anything else from her.)

    Anonymous: "Hmph. The Old Chateau huh? That place is somewhere you will never want to go. I've explored 10% of that building, and iv'e seen things that no man, woman, or pokemon should ever see. Sure, it is an interesting place, but you just have to ask yourself, is it worth it? Is it worth yours, or anyone else's life? I am one of the strongest people I know, but no one, and i repeat no one, should ever have to venture into that Hellhole....(At this point the eyewitness began to sing.) It'll play a fiddle on your soul it'll throw you high it'll slam you low."

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
    Okay now for the actual RP stuff.
    YOUR JOB:
    As you should already know, your job is to venture through the old chateau and write down everything that seems important. This is your primmary objective as a REPO recruit, but you also have a primary objective as a human. Survive. The path before you will be filled with danger, sorrow, and anger. The Old Chateau is a mystery, and it is unknown what it will throw at you, but you can bet it will be bad. The recruits, (you guys) will be divided into two groups. Teams Shadow and Light. Your team choice will determine which of the two main paths you will take. There will be points where the two teams will meet up with each other, but for the most part you will be seperated. Also, at multiple points throughout the RP, you will be given choices. I.E.: you must choose to go to the kitchen, or continue down the hall. I will then proceed to give information about both locations. your characters will then decide(IN THE RP!) which way to go. It is highly recommended that you stick together. There is saftey in numbers after all...
    OH! I almost forgot, you'll be able to bring your pokemon along, if you wish....
    SU (These go in the OOC)
    Name (What do people call your character?)
    Age (16-35)
    Personality (2-3 Paragraphs. How does your character act? How would you describe them?)
    RP sample (It can be from a previous RP, or it can be your first post. I.E. Flashback to your reading the REPO recruit letter, and then describe your journey to the chateau.)
    PASSWORD!!!(It's bolded)
    Pokemon SU (1-6)
    (I recommend that you choose useful mons, it would be a shame to rely on your allies' pokemon the whole time.)
    Chapter one
    An Unknown Doom
    In the Northwest section of the sinnoh region, there is a forest shrouded in mystery. It is located to the west of the Eterna City, which has earned it the name Eterna forest. The forest is cloaked in eternity, and it feels as if the place is shrouded in a mist of time. Near the Eterna entrance there is a building, a building that is so ancient and decrepit that it's a wonder that it still stands. Trees grow wildly along the sides of the building, their growth clearly unhindered by the seemingly solid building. The two-floored gothic styled building has a purple roof, dappled with the shadows cast by the tree branches above. There are several windows coated in a thick layer of dust. In the upper right window, there appears to be a handprint….
    Standing guard outside of the front door is an iron gate, complete with spikes at the top…
    Welcome to the old Chateau recruits! When you get to the front gate you will be greeted by Darrius, our senior REPO explorer. He will divide you into two groups, and he will direct you into your positions. We wish you good luck, and remember, WE'RE WORKING FOR SINNOH'S FUTURE!
    (Post one)
    For your first post, you are to Travel to the Old Chateau(In any way)
    However…
    Glancing at a distance, there appears to be two people arguing outside of the gate. As you approach, you realize that one of them is Gardenia, the grass gym leader of Eterna. She is yelling at the other, A tall blonde man of about 32.
    Gardenia: "It's suicide! I refuse to allow anyone to take a step into that building! I will stop you Darrius!"
    Darrius: "Step aside Gardenia. I don't want to hurt anyone."
    Gardenia: You don't want to hurt anyone?! That's Bullcrap! If you send them in there then they'll ALL be endangered! I'm the one that's keeping people safe!"
    Darrius glances over and notices you for the first time.
    Darrius: Hi recruits…It appears that we have a bit of a problem… Would you assist me?
    Gardenia glares and pulls a set of pokeballs from her pocket.
    Gardenia: "You asked for it…"
    "Flarra! Don't go too far ahead!" Rho shouted, as his always faithful companion bounded about. Flarra gave a bark for him to hurry up. "Ok, I'm coming, I'm coming." Eterna Forest. This place was very mysterious. Shrouded by the canopy of trees, the only way Rho could see Flarra was the bright contrast between their colors. He ran forward, eventually catching up with his excited companion. She finally settled down. Rho took out a small parcel of fruits, and began eating some berries. He grabbed a few, and tossed them towards his Ninetales. She gobbled them up, and bounded forward once more. "Aw not this again." Rho said as he trotted forward, eventually seeing the large, creepy house in the midst of the dense vegetation.
    There seemed to be others there too, along with two women arguing. The only words that he caught were "Chateau" and "Suicide". This didn't bother him, as long as he has his Pokemon. All of a sudden, the younger looking of the two arguing whipped out her Pokemon and sent them out, one by one, on all the recruits.
    Rho reached for his Pokeballs instinctively as a Cherrim came his way. He pressed the button on his Pokeball and threw it. His Scizor came out in a red beam.
    "Scizor! Use X- Scissor!"
    The small bud-like Pokemon tried to dodge, but the red mantis Pokemon was way too fast. Scizor crossed her pincers, and slashed. It has a devastating effect. the Cherrim seemed too weak to get back up, but it did, and launched a Solar Beam. Scizor barely dodged, and it grazed her side.
    "Ok, take it out with Night Slash!"
    Scizor used her amazing speed to rush towards the Cherrim, her pincers glowing a deep purple. She struck it, and it KO'd in midair.
    "Nice job!" Rho said as he patted Scizor on the back. He lifted up her Pokeball, and the red beam absorbed her back in. The others seemed to have finished up as well. The older woman turned to them. "Thanks guys! I was really having trouble with her. She was spouting nonsense about the place being haunted, and about how none of us will make it out. Hmph. Alright, now it's time to separate you! Arisa, Mark, Korbin. You are on team Shadow. Rho, Azleyla, Maxwell. You will make up team light. Are you ready to go? ALRIGHT LET'S GO!" (Sorry, not good at paraphrasing) All Rho could think was "Who?"
    "Mark walked the streets of eterna city wearing a Natu mask, Trench coat, And fedora. Snype, Hiding in Mark's shadow, Was getting a huge urge to loot the trainers walking by him."Snype, Not now. Save it for when we get to the chateau." Sableye felt very disappointed that he wouldn't be getting as much loot as he's used to... It would all be worth it at the end. The trainer's he'll be working with should have something on them anyways.
    After supplying himself at the pokemart, Mark set off to Eterna forest, Luckily, He was close enough to the Old chateau so he didn't have to do to much extra walking. In front of the door was a tall blonde man and Gardina, The gym leader of Eterna City. "Just my luck to have a Pokemon league official here of all places.." Mark said to himself. Neither the less, Mark walked up to the two. "Something wrong here?" He told the two. "It appears that we have a bit of a problem… Would you assist me?" Darrius told him. Mark simpily adjusted his natu mask and replied, Glaring at Gardina... "We'll try to make it quick. Go get em Snype."
    With that said, Mark's Sableye came right out of the shadows in front of him with a very Senile look on his face. Gadenia then sent out several pokemon for the other recruits the arrived at the same time. Mark's opponent was a torterra, Probably the biggest one on her team. "Well that's not very fair is it? You send the big guns on me and the small fry for the others?" He said very wittingly to her.
    "Alright Snype, Use Shadow sneak!"
    Snype immediately hid himself into the shadows and behind Gardenia's Torterra, Striking it in the back and doing minimal damage. "That was only a warm up! Brace yourself Snype" Mark told his sableye. Torterra didn't budge too much from the hit but it still did a small number on him. After recovering from the hit, Torterra used Earthquake! The ground was shaking making Snype struggle standing on his feet. As the ground was shaking, Snype hoped up on top of Torterra and began to play around with the tree on it's back. Mark couldn't help but chuckle at how he was toying with the turtle. This completely enraged Torterra causing it to use Frenzy plant at the same time. Torterra shook snype off his back and into the line of of roots that he had summoned. The plants hit snype Directly sending him flying right in front of mark.
    "Comon Snype, You've taken heavier hits then this. Let's finish that thing off, It's obviously tired from using that attack" Mark encouraged snype.
    "Alright lets finish it with Zen Headbutt!". Snype, Still sort of hurt, Got right up on his feet and Rammed Directly into the worn out torterra! The hit was enough to get torterra onto it's back ad cause it to faint. "Nice work Snype, Here I'll let you recover a bit in your pokeball and let you back out when your ready." Mark held out his pokeball and put sableye back inside of it for a bit.
    "Don't say I didn't warn you" Gardenia shouted to the recruits. " Alright, now it's time to separate you! Arisa, Mark, Korbin. You are on team Shadow. Rho, Azleyla, Maxwell. You will make up team light. Are you ready to go?" Darrius said. Mark was already walking to the front of the door after he heard what team he was with, Sat right outside of the door, And waited for the other recruits to catch up.
    (Not sure if I'm allowed to control Gardenia or not so I played it safe on my part)
    The Old Chateau...what secrets did it hold? What dangers lurked in the darkness, just waiting to jump out at her and possibly kill her before she even knew what happened? Or...maybe she wouldn't die. Perhaps, she'd go insane from all the horrors inside, just like some of the brave souls that had dared to venture into the unknown depths of the slowly deteriorating mansion.
    Well...that was based on the accounts of the local residents of Eterna City. She had never even ventured into the woods, let alone the mansion. Wait, there was that one time, a long time ago...and look how that turned out? But dwelling in the past was futile and dangerous, for her, anyway.
    ...Those stares were starting to bug her. She wished they would look at anything but her. But then again, she was kind of asking for it, with her odd appearance and all. It still irritated her somewhat. She supposed it was high time she took to the woods.
    Her calm demeanor slipped a little when she noticed two people arguing in front of the Old Chateau. What a racket...couldn't they hear how much noise they were making? She walked over to them, her face a cool, serene mask once again.
    She recognized one of them, the gym leader from Eterna City. Her usual cheery attitude had been replaced by molten fury along with...fear? She was saying something about suicide. How dangerous it was to let children enter the mansion, that they were sure to die in there.
    Arisa felt herself bristle with outrage. She was no child. And by the look of things, Gardenia wasn't giving in without a fight. She sighed and drew out a Pokeball just as a large, light-green Pokemon appeared in a burst of white light several feet away. A Meganium. This was going to be a little rough. But she did not come all the way out here to turn back.
    "Assist me, Pluto."
    Her own partner appeared in a flurry of white light, a slender, yet dependable Umbreon just waiting for a command to be issued.
    The Herb Pokemon struck first, lashing out with a slew of pink flower petals, hitting the Moonlight Pokemon directly. It was beautiful to watch, but Arisa knew she would be defeated quickly if she didn't stop that Meganium's assault.
    Her Umbreon had managed to endure the attack, but it was clear that he has sustained moderate damage. While it wasn't serious, it could become dangerous if she allowed to be caught off guard again.
    "You're doing just fine, Pluto. Strike back with Confuse Ray!"
    Her trusty partner did as instructed, his eyes glowing a brilliant white. Within seconds, the opposing Pokemon's eyes faintly glowed with a reddish hue, confirming that its attack confused the Herb Pokemon. This was her chance.
    "Good. Use Faint Attack!"
    Pluto began to charge at the opposing Grass-type. It then began to move erratically, appearing to even vanish at times. This only served to confound Meganium even further as it lashed out with another Petal Dance, but didn't even come close to hitting her Umbreon. The result was that the attack struck it head-on. It didn't do too much damage, considering that Pluto was built more for defense rather than attack.
    She repeated this tactic several times, slowly but surely weakening the opponent. On her fifth try, however, her Umbreon was sent flying backward when a transparent wall materialized out of nowhere, effectively, halting her primary means of attack. The opponent's confusion had worn off, it seemed.
    "Reflect, huh...? Crafty little Pokemon, aren't you? Well...I can fix that. Pluto, use Toxic!"
    After a wave a black filth enveloped the Herb Pokemon, it shuddered from the effects of poison. It was still able to attack, however, and it sent forth a flurry of thorny vines, successfully impaling the Moonlight Pokemon. Her Umbreon howled in agony as the vines tore into its body, damaging it severely. It would be no exaggeration to say that a light tap could decide the match for either of the two Pokemon. The Meganium was faring slightly better and Arisa could only hope the poison could weaken it enough for Pluto to finish it off.
    As if on cue, another shudder racked through the Herb Pokemon's body. It didn't attack and Arisa knew it had to recharge after using that powerful move. It was now or never. Without feeling the slightest twinge of sympathy for the opposing Pokemon, she ordered her Umbreon to deliver the finishing blow. Her Pokemon rammed into Meganium, effectively knocking it out.
    And not a moment too soon. Right after that, Pluto collapsed from exhaustion. It didn't make any difference. Arisa had won the match, fair and square. She recalled her old friend into its Pokeball, thanking it for its assistance. She would heal it later, if she got the chance.
    Turning to the Old Chateau, she contemplated the task before her. It was a great deal to ask this of anyone, but it had to be done. For the people of Sinnoh...heck, for the people of the world.
    And yet...she couldn't shake the feeling of an oddly sinister presence...
    Eterna Forest, not a vey tough place for someone as Max, he was actually having a good time passing by. Liria went alongside its trainer as usual, she was the most fitted for a forest filled with bugs and trees after all. The pokemon was constantly going and coming. She had orders to inform Max if she sighted the chateau but since the dragonfly seemed more interested on the other bugs and in standing on every single tree they passed Max doubted how well she was doing her job.
    Max had already refused a couple of duels from trainers wandering the forest. He was not still sure where the chateau stood, and spending time he did not even had on battles was not very advisable. It was very tempting though, he had not battled anyone in a while and his pokemons would sure enjoy it too; perhaps once engaged in his REPO assignment he would have a chance.
    The trainer wondered how his coworkers would be. It was his first assignment; would he have a single boss? Or would he be working with other rookies?
    "Well no point in dwelling on the matter" he thought.
    His reflexive state was suddenly interrupted by a sequence of little bumps on his head. Max looked up to find Liria trying to get his attention. As unlikely as it initially seemed, the pokemon had actually found something worth looking for. It was a little far off, but there was a group of people standing beyond some trees obstructing most of the view. After he passed beside the trunk of a big old tree the forest finally revealed an odd building standing near the people his dragonfly saw earlier.
    "And here I thought you were walking me in circles, good job Liria."
    It was the chateau at last, and those people standing beside it were probably REPO members.waiting for his arrival. Each step he got closer it became more likely they were not actually waiting for him though. Once he got close enough he was able to discern some kind of conflict going on between a blonde man and… the Gym leader of Eterna city! Under other circumstances he would have liked to challenge her, but Max was very certain this was not the right moment.
    "It's suicide! I refuse to allow anyone to take a step into that building! I will stop you Darrius!"
    "Ok his name is Darrius" Max mentally noted it.
    "Step aside Gardenia. I don't want to hurt anyone."
    "Are we fighting already?" He thought once more not actually expecting an answer.
    It seemed that girl would not take a no for an answer, she immediately sent out all her pokemons at once in an attempt to stop anyone from entering. After some quick mental processing Max could tell that Darrius was probably his boss and that the Etrerna city gym leader probably thought something dangerous lived in the chateau or she would not be that determined to keep them away. Oh well, the boss spoke and it seemed they would be stuck there unless they did something about the girl.
    "Fine, but I'm expecting some kind of explanation after this you know. Come out Leo."
    Max took a pokeball from his belt and dropped it just a few inches beside him, a big Arcanine appeared in a flash of red light. The creature immediately looked around and sniffed the ground before it started to bark at all the strangers around him.
    "You know dude, that is not very polite of you" Max told his pokemon, which left out a short whimper and looked back at him with a more calmed expression,
    "That's better, but you should still be barking at one at least"
    A Breloom approached Leo with a combat ready face; it seems all the barking attracted it since its trainer was not actually issuing any orders at all.
    "Here we go Leo! Extreme Speed!" Max shouted while pointing towards the Breloom with his right hand.
    His Arcanine quickly dropped his goofy face and switched it with a determined one. Arcanine dashed forward in a blink, however the Breloom was fast and both pokemon heads clashed in what looked like a painful impact for both sides.
    It was actually surprising for Max, since the mushroom was not receiving direct orders from his instructress he expected it to be surprised by the quick attack at least, but it had not been the case.
    "Hmph, stop that, try with a crunch instead!"
    Leo moved his head back obediently and proceeded to bite his opponent in the head, which immediately grabbed the Arcanine's head attempting to snap out of it. A couple of chomping seconds later the Breloom apparently decided it had a better chance punching back rather than just trying to get off, as it started launching several lightning fast punches at the big dog like pokemon.
    "Uhh, feeling good pal?"
    It was obvious he was not; the pounding he was receiving was quickly wearing down Leo.
    "Ok, ok, you know what, let's show him why I chose a fire type like you for the job man. Smash it with a Flare Blitz!"
    Leo finally dropped the Breloom who looked grateful at the least to have its head back, however its relief did not last long. Arcanine engulfed in flames before fiercely tackling the mushroom pokemon.
    It worked, the Breloom jumped back from the fire. Between the bite marks on its face and the burns on the pokemon's skin, it looked on really a bad state. It was still on its feet, but the Breloom seemed done for, and was not showing interest in further battle.
    "That's enough Leo, good work."
    After the battle finished, Max noticed the others had taken down the other pokemons, they apparently had some skill as well.
    "Don't say I didn't warn you…"
    Gardenia left for the forest looking down, it made Max feel kind of bad for her. After this attempt to stop them the chateau should have something dangerous inside.
    He walked over to the entrance; barely able to look at his new companions as he was briefed how he was part of Team Light. It happened to fast, just a couple of steps after the threshold of the massive building and Darrius walks back outside just before the door violently shuts itself closed.
    "Uhhh… Hello?"
    And the darkness fell…
    'Oh great and Almighty Arceus! Why did I ever choose to ride uphill to Eterna City? I could've just had Noctowl fly me up here, but nooo! I had to choose the healthier way!' Azleyla huffed as she pedaled up Cycling Hill that led to her destination. She was about to call out Noctowl, to fly her the rest of the way, when it seemed easier to pedal. She almost screamed in delight as she entered the building that led to Eterna City.
    "I'm sure I look like a witch." Azleyla murmured to herself as she walked to the Pokemon Centre to freshen up before she met up with the other REPO recruits at the Old Chateau. She gave her Pokeballs to Nurse Joy, to make sure they were healthy and ready, then headed to the bathrooms. She let out a long groan as she looked in the mirror.
    "I look like a total... never mind. This is why you always carry three extra sets of clothes, make-up, and other necessities." Azleyla mumbled to herself as she entered a shower stall after stripping down, and took a quick shower to rid herself of the sweat of the day. She toweled off, and put on her signature outfit; A jean skirt with pink leggings, a light red camisole with the word 'Heart' written over her breasts, DC shoes with pink laces, and her favorite white jacket around her waist. She quicly toweled off her hair, then blow-dried, pulling it back into a stylish high ponytail. After she did her make-up, she deemed herself perfect, and walked out to get her Pokemon.
    "Here you go, Azleyla. Your Pokemon are as good as new! Have a good day." Nurse Joy said brightly, and Azleyla smiled back and thanked her.
    "By the way, do you know where the Old Chateau is?" Azleyla asked Murse Joy, and she nodded.
    "Yes, it is at your right as you enter the Eterna Forest, you can't possibly miss it." she answered, then looked confused. "But why would you ever want to go to a place like that? Even Gardenia won't go inside, she says it's horribly haunted." Azleyla gulped, and her eyes filled with tears of fear, although they didn't spill over.
    "Uhm, I... I'm a new recruit for a group that's investigating the Old Chateau..." she explained. "And I'm going to be late if I don't hurry! Thanks again, Nurse Joy!" And ran out.
    Azleyla sat down at a bench outside of the Pokemon Centre.
    "How am I ever going to go through with this? If Gardenia, a Gym leader, won't even enter the Chateau, how will I? I'm a complete wuss when it comes to anything with a scary legend behind it, I barely even beat Fantina at her Gym because of those Ghost-type Pokemon!" Azleyla sighed and looked at the ground. Suddenly, her Ponyta, Flare, shot out of her Pokeball. She snorted in an encouraging way, and nuzzled Azleyla with her nose.
    "I just don't know, Flare. I mean, you heard what Nuse Joy said, and you also know that I'm a scardey-cat when it comes to anything!" Azleyla said to her Ponyta, who brayed, and nudged Azleyla up and off the bench. She laughed.
    "Okay, okay! I'll go! But only if you give me a ride on your back! I'm dying from that bike ride up that hill!" Azleyla reasoned, and Flare snorted in agreement. Azleyla pulled out Flare's bridle and sadle. She fit them on, then hopped up on the Ponyta's back. Any other trainer who tried to ride Flare would be instantly burned, but she never burned Azleyla anymore, since they had developed a strong and loving bond. Azleyla laughed and Flare sped off in direction of the forest.
    As they approached the Old Chateau, Azleyla noticed a red-headed girl and a blonde man arguing in from of the Old Chateau's gates. They pulled up next to the other Trainers that were watching the fight right as Gardenia said;
    "You don't want to hurt anyone? That's bullcrap! If you send them in there, then they'll all be in danger! I'm the one that's keeping people safe!" the woman yelled, and Azleyla realized that it was Gardenia, the Gym Leader of Eterna City. The blonde man glance over, and noticed the younger Trainers that were watching the fight uneasily.
    "Hi recruits, I'm Darrius, it appears we have a bit of a problem. Would you assist me?" he asked, and Gardenia let out a shout of frustration and glared at Darrius. She pulled out her Pokeballs from her belt and threw them in the air.
    "You asked for it." she murmured dangerously as the Pokemon burst from their Pokeballs. A Pokemon landed in front of each Trainer, a Sceptile in from of Azleyla. Gardenia yelled out commands for each Pokemon, and battles sprung into action. Azleya quickly got off Flare, pulled off her bridle and sadle, then called her in as her battling Pokemon.
    "Sceptile, Night Slash!" she called, and the Grass-type sprung forward, his claws glowing a dangerous purple.
    "Flare! Dodge it, then use Bounce!" Azleyla yelled, and the Ponyta lept up just as Sceptile was about to rake his claws along her body, it only hit slightly on Flare's leg. Flare was high in the air as she plummeted down, just narrowly missing Sceptile as it ran for cover. She Bounced again, and this time, landing right on top of Sceptile with her diamond-hard hooves.
    "Sceptile! Night Slash! Again!" Gardenia called, and this time, Sceptile hit Flare righton the underbelly. She snorted in pain, and retreated back to her end of the 'battlefield'.
    "Sceptile, Solarbeam!" Gardenia called, and the Grass-type powered up. Flare stood her ground, waiting for an order.
    "Wait for it... waait for it..." Azleyla murmured to her Pokemon. And just as Sceptile let his stored-up energy go, Azleyla screamed; "NOW!" And the Fire-type dodged.
    "Now use Flame-Wheel!" she called, and the Ponyta charged forward, flame creating a wheel around her as she ran. Sceptile was still shooting out his Solarbeam when Flare hit him hard with her Flame Wheel. Then he went rigid, as he had to charge up after Solarbeam.
    "Okay now, Flare! Use Ember on your hoof, then use Stomp!" Azleyla yelled, and it was done. Sceptile cried out, and jumped away after the direct attack. He was breathing hard, but still standing. Barely.
    "C'mon Sceptile! You can do it! Pursuit!" Gardenia called, and Sceptile hit Flare head-on, as Flare wasn't quick enough to dodge this time. Flare flinched in pain, but w\as still okay.
    "Finish it with Ember!" Azleyla called out quickly, and a flame built up in Flare's mouth. She shot it out, and hit Sceptile, finally knocking him out. Azleyla grinned and hugged Flare's neck. Gardenia sighed as she recalled all of her Pokemon, the others had beaten her as well. Her head shot up, and a fierce glare gleamed in her eyes, bordering on insanity. Azleyla recalled Flare, just in case.
    "Don't say I didn't warn you." she cackled, and ran off in the direction of Eterna City.
    "Thanks, you guys. I was really having trouble with her. She was spouting some nonsense about this place being haunted, and how apparently none of us will make it out. Hmph, alright! It's time to separate you! Arisa, Mark, and Korbin, you are Team Shadow. Rho, Azleyla, and Max, you guys will make up Team Light. Are you ready? Alright, let's go." Darrius stated, and they all entered the creepy building, Azleyla keeping very close to the guys, to feel safer.
    "Oh! Wait! I forgot my supplies, be right back!" Darrius said, and left to get his bag. All of a sudden, the doors slammed shut, locking all of the Trainers in. Darkness falls around everyone...
    Azleyla let out a scream, and latched on to the nearest thing to her, which happened to be a Team Shadow member; Korbin.
    (OOC: Lol, had to have the scream and hug thing in tharr! ;D Hope it's okay, Strikit, that I had her hug your charrie. I actually just did eenie-meenie-minee-mo to figure who would be latched onto. ;D)
    (OOC: Hope it was an okay first post! ;D)
    Sinnoh was alien soil to Korbin and his team. Having lived in Johto his entire life, and only traveling to Kanto since it was so close, there had never been any reason to come to Sinnoh before REPO contacted him. His first impression of the region was that it was infinitely more sunny than Johto. He wasn't sure he liked the change. The heat beat down on him ceaselessly, far worse than he was used to. It got so bad that he had to recall Helena, who usually walked alongside him, or perhaps clung to his shoulders when she got tired. The little Sneasel had simply not been able to handle the heat. All things considered, he was incredibly relieved when the trees of Eterna Forest came into view. He quickened his pace, long strides carrying him under the shade soon enough. The change in temperature was instantaneous. Breathing a sigh of relief, he released Helena onto the mossy ground next to him. She stretched her limbs, flexed her claws, then looked up at him with affectionate blue eyes. He laughed softly and motioned upward.
    "Come on, beautiful."
    Helena chirruped happily and leapt the nearly seven feet to her master's shoulder, where she perched easily. Now that everything was in order, Korbin began following the path marked on the map in his hand. Without it, he was sure he would have been lost; the path took so many twists and turns, forked off in so many places, that there was no clear way to understand which direction went where. Normally, Korbin had a good sense of direction. But this was a scenario where he could easily lose himself.
    The Old Chateau became visible through the trees after several turns. He surveyed it with a raised eyebrow as he came closer, thinking that it did not look anywhere near as foreboding as the rumors and stories that preceded it. Helena, however, was not so at ease. Her ears flattened against her head and the feathers on her back perked up, the stance she took when something was seriously frightening her. "What is it, Hel?" Korbin asked in a soothing tone, stroking the fur between her eyes. She made no sound and relaxed somewhat, though she was obviously still tentative. "You know all the rumors about the Chateau are ridiculous. This exploration will mostly consist of dust and maybe a few Bugs."
    As he came closer, Korbin could see a man who appeared to be in his thirties arguing with a somewhat younger woman. From this distance he could only make out some of the words, but from what he understood it appeared that the woman did not want anyone to enter the Chateau. With a scoff, Korbin approached the man, seeing as it was likely that he was affiliated with REPO, especially since he addressed he and the other recruits for assistance in this situation. Then the woman produced several Pokeballs from her pocket and threw them. Korbin jumped back as a jet of red light hit the ground ahead of him. A fraction of a second later, a Jumpluff materialized in that spot. Korbin smirked and exchanged a glance with Helena. "Do you want to take this one?" She shrugged, letting him know one of her teammates was welcome to get rid of the pest.
    Korbin withdrew a Great Ball from his pocket and pressed the button in the center. His Vulpix landed on the ground in front of the Jumpluff, snarling viciously. "Get ready, Samrin. We're going to let them make the first move."
    Jumpluff rattled its spores and sent puffs of cotton at Samrin. The Vulpix dodged the attack and looked back at Korbin for instruction. "Don't give it a chance to get ahead. Use Sunny Day."
    Samrin opened his mouth and howled. As if in response, the sunlight intensified to the point where it was almost unbearable. While it became suddenly much more uncomfortable for Korbin and Helena, the temperature was perfect for Samrin combatively. "Good. Now, hit it with a Confuse Ray." His eyes glowed dangerously and affixed on Jumpluff, but it hopped out of the way and loosed a Solar Beam at him. Samrin moved a moment too late; the beam of photosynthetic light connected him in the chest. He was driven back several feet with a yelp. Landing on his feet, however, he was ready to reciprocate. He opened his mouth and spewed a jet of flame in an impressive Flamethrower. The blaze scorched the Jumpluff terribly, causing it to let out a squeal of pain as its spores caught aflame.
    Sensitive to her Pokemon's pain, Gardenia recalled Jumpluff to save it from further assault. Korbin chuckled and knelt down. "Good job, Sammy. I have no idea how she expected that weed to stand a chance against you."
    With that done he called Samrin back into his ball and entered the gate after the REPO man. With a thud, the gate shut behind himself and the other recruits. Korbin glanced behind him, but wasn't too concerned. Helena, on the other hand, shivered and chattered uneasily. She had a sense that they weren't going to be leaving in one piece.
    A sudden weight latched onto Korbin's arm. Taken aback, he looked down at her with a raised brow. He didn't say anything, and nor did he move, but it was clear that he wasn't used to strange people suddenly grabbing him.
    Amarantha made her way down the slim trail that wound its way through Eterna forest, treading softly through the grass and fallen leaves that had long covered most of its surface. As she walked, she tapped her staff on the ground occasionally in the manner of a wandering monk, sensing the firmness of the ground and searching for incongruences. Near her shoulder, Nighteyes winged quietly, the soft sound of his wings flapping and the air currents it created providing the former priestess more information about her surroundings. For a time the pair traveled in silence, as was their wont. Then, Amarantha paused and raised a hand. The Noctowl landed and folded its wings.
    "I hear raised voices . . . " Amarantha explained before listening again. "A man and a woman, speaking of a building and danger. I think there are other people, too, but . . ." The female straightened slightly. "A battle is beginning, and something tells me that the place of this battle is our destination. We should hurry."
    Striding quickly now, Amarantha ignored the path and moved directly toward the sounds of the fight, Nighteyes slightly ahead of her. As the pair emerged from the forest, the trainer sensed one of the combatants briefly turn toward her. Gardenia, seeming to automatically recognize Amarantha as a member of Darren's group, cast a Pokeball into the air, releasing an Exeggutor. The plant type directed an Egg Bomb at Nighteyes, who carried himself higher with a flap of his wings to avoid the attack. Raising her arms in front of herself, Amarantha protected her upper body and face from the waves of the explosions. What's going on here?
    "Nighteyes!" the dark-haired girl called. The Noctowl raised its wings high, beating the air strongly to give its human companion a better view of the field. It's a large Pokemon . . . Judging by this shape and the attack it used, probably an Exeggutor.
    Gardenia's Pokemon surrounded itself with an aura of energy, concentrating to create a parallel aura around its opponent with Psychic. The bird was drawn earthward despite its attempts to stay aloft, pulled slowly toward the Exeggutor as it awaited direction from its trainer.
    For a moment Amarantha was silent, tracking the movements carefully in her mind's eye. As she sensed the two Pokemon growing close to one another and the Exeggutor tense for a second attack, she suddenly ordered, "Air Slash."
    A blade of wind shot toward the plant Pokemon at nearly point-blank range, slicing into it as it used Take Down to strike with extra force. The Exeggutor's concentration broke, and the Noctowl swiftly carried itself high enough to be out of reach of any physical attacks, the rhythm of its wings off as it recovered from damage it had received.
    "Air Slash again," Amarantha commanded. Another wave of force struck Gardenia's Pokemon, this time causing it to flinch. "Now use Whirlwind." Nighteyes' wings stirred the air, creating a flurry that drove the Exeggutor back into its Pokeball--still conscious but not in a position to throw explosions at him again.
    The flying type lowered itself until it hovered at its trainer's shoulder. The girl was quiet, still not entirely sure why she had been attacked and hoping that her opponent would sooner explain herself than send out another Pokemon. Around Amarantha, the other battles subsided as well, ending in victories for the group of fighters that were apparently in conflict with the one. Said one sighed resignedly but still seemed unhappy, departing with the final words, "Don't say I didn't warn you . . ."
    Unbothered by Gardenia's foreboding message, the man who had been arguing earlier cheerily started, "Thanks guys! I was really having trouble with her. She was spouting nonsense about the place being haunted, and about how none of us will make it out."
    Haunted . . . sounds as though I am in the right place after all. But is this man to lead us? He seems so cavalier about the situation--almost disturbingly so.
    After receiving her team assignment, Amarantha followed the group to the doors of the house, still unsure who "Arisa," "Mark," and "Korbin" were but expecting to find out soon enough. Just before entering the building, the girl returned Nighteyes to his Pokeball. Stepping inside after the others, she heard Darren turn around and return to the gate, apparently to retrieve something forgotten. The doors shut. Though she had been in enough haunted houses to guess at the result, Amarantha tested the doors nonetheless. "We're locked in," she stated flatly.
    [OOC: Not sure how I did . . . Hopefully acceptably for an opening post.]
    Okay, time for Chapter 2.
    Ch2 – The Approaching Onslaught
    Post 1- 4
    Part one of this Chapter consists of a Chat type function. Hopefully one of you has a pokemon that can light up the dark, as you will need it to see. If no one has a flash pokemon(It doesn't need to know the move.) Then I will provide light. You will chat amongst yourselves and decide the next move. (Since sticking together would cause a lot of havoc, you will eventually decide to stick with your team.) Now, Here's where decision time comes.
    Inside the foyer of The old Chateau, a magnificent Chandelier hangs from the ceiling, collecting dust and cobwebs. Every once in a while it glimmers softly, revealing a glimpse into its former luster. Following the walls to the left and right, there are two doors that, upon inspection are locked. The foundation of the building is too unstable to break them down, so they must be left alone. Perhaps you may find a key somewhere…
    Continuing forward are two staircases that branch to the left and right, but both lead up to a landing on the second floor. In the center of the landing is a single door that leads into a hallway branching left, and right. There are countless doors, all of them spaced perfectly even. At the left end of the hall there appears to be a dumbwaiter, just large enough to fit two people.
    Below the outer landing there is a solitary door that leads into a crazily spacious Dining room. To the right there is a door that has been trapped by caved in rafters and debris. To the left there is a wall that contains a dumbwaiter. (Yep, Kitchen's Downstairs in the B floor.) In the center of the Dining room, there is a table large enough to hold 66 people. The plate at the far left end has been cracked to look like a haunter's gaping maw. Strangely, there is no dust on the table. It's as if it's still used. There is even a bouquet of flowers on the table…none are wilted… Beyond the Dining room, and at the end of the kitchen there is a Door. It has a peephole in the front that when looked through, displays the thing that scares its user the most. At this moment the door is locked…
    One team must Go upstairs, and the other down. From there you may discuss who does what, and I will fill you in depending on your decision. I.E: Someone in the kitchen stares at the plate, they experience a horrible vision. I will say if only one person can do something, or if others can try it.
    Also, when the decision is made, something will happen:
    (NOTE: DO NOT START THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE DECIDED WHICH TEAM GOES WHERE)
    A very loud girlish giggle pierces the mind of everyone in the room. It is as if a little girl is speaking to your mind…
    "HeeHee! Ooooh, new friends new friends! And there are a bunch this time! I'm gonna play with them all! Grandpa! LOOK!"(At the end, her voice becomes slightly distorted, resembling a beast more than a human.) Moments later an elderly voice enters the conversation. It is old, but it is filled with power and wisdom. Whoever this voice is, He's in charge.
    "Oh. Dear we have more newcomers…I am terribly sorry, but I cannot let you leave until my granddaughter is satisfied. When she is done playing with you, I will let you leave. That is, depending on how much of you is left."
    At that moment, a chorus of children's voices fill the room, all of them screaming "Me TOO!" Or "Aww, But I want a turn." The cacophony grows louder and louder, until the Elderly voice rings out, only this time much more loudly and with more power.
    "Silence!" The voice sighs. "I am sorry, but you must play with all of my offspring. It is only fair. Hmm. Good luck then…"
    With that, the voices vanish from your mind, and you are left with a headache, as well as a new dilemma.
    Survive.
    (OOC: Okayy, since I have no life, I might as well start the discussion of who will go where, I guess. I'll probably be short, cause I can't really write alot without the others' responses. But it'll be a start. ;D)
    Azleyla was shivering with cold and fright as the darkness of the Old Chateau settled in around the REPO recruits. She jumped as one of the others coughed, and tightened her grip on Korbin's arm, not really caring that he was giving her a strange look, or the fact that she was possibly cutting off circulation.
    "S-so... " she stuttered, looking around the Main Hall that they were in, wondering what sorts of spooks could be hiding in the darkness. "I g-guess we'll have to c-continue what we c-came here to do, whatever that is. A-and try to find a w-way out as we do... " Azleyla was glancing around her shoulders, and pressing herself again Korbin's side.
    "I g-guess we'll also have t-to split up into our respective t-teams to f-fully explore this... place." Azleyla gave a half-smile, trying to seem confident, but failing miserably. "Uhm, and d-does anybody have an Electric-type or s-something that we could light up this place with...? I'm on the b-brink of hysteria, here."
    (OOC: Yepp, extremely short, sorryy! Not much I can do to lengthen it without babbling. )
    (I feel like I'm playing Luigi's Mansion, and Azleyla's Luigi. ;D)
    "Sure, I'll be there as soon as I can, don't worry, it won't take long." Graham folded his pokegear closed after he had hung up. "Public travel is for people who don't have pokemon, Go, Draco!" The pokeball left Graham's hand and twirled up in the air before releasing an even larger than normal Dragonite, it did a large mid-air backflip, Graham jumped into the air and as Draco came back down Graham landed on his back and caught hte pokeball. "We're heading to Eterna forest buddy.
    About 1 hour or so later....
    Graham and Draco landed on the outskirts of Eterna City right next to Eterna forest since the trees were too big and thick to just fly in. As Graham put Draco back into his pokeball and walked through the entrance of the forset he had a very foreboding feeling. "Superstitions are real more often then most people would like to believe, but still, my team mates may need me, theres no reason to back out now that-hey...whats all that racket?"
    Drawing close to the Old Chateaus front yard Graham heard two voices, one annoyed yet persistent and the other one outraged and determined.
    Gardenia: "It's suicide! I refuse to allow anyone to take a step into that building! I will stop you Darrius!"
    Darrius: "Step aside Gardenia. I don't want to hurt anyone."
    Gardenia: You don't want to hurt anyone?! That's Bullcrap! If you send them in there then they'll ALL be endangered! I'm the one that's keeping people safe!"
    Darrius glances over and notices you for the first time.
    Darrius: Hi recruits…It appears that we have a bit of a problem… Would you assist me?
    "Right" Graham said to no one in particular as he reached for one of his pokeballs, knowing the pokemon inside should do well against any of Gardenia's grass types.
    Gardenia glares and pulls a set of pokeballs from her pocket.
    Gardenia: "You asked for it…"
    Graham watched as Gardenia sent out all of her pokemon at once. "Wow...she is scary, but she couldn't possibly stop all of us, no matter how skilled she is, Go, Heracles!" Graham through the pokeball he had reached for earlier and it opened to release a large Heracross, one of Gardenia's pokemon, her Carnivine stared down Heracles. "Alright, you wanna stop me?" Graham shouted. "Let's see if you've got what it takes!"
    "Aerial Ace!" Heracles flew up into the air and dive-bombed at Carnivine with amazing speed and ferocity, but Gardenia was a gym leader and was used to people using her weak types against her all the time, she was too smart. "Carnivine, use Crunch!" Carnivine waited until Heracles was right about to hit it and then bit down hard on it's arm. "Now use Giga Drain!" Holding Heracles in place with it's mouth, Carnivine began draining it's health away, the combination of moves did major damage even though it was a bad type matchup.
    But Heracles had huge amounts of endurance, it managed to still move in Carnivine's grip. "Heracles, use Megahorn!" Heracles' horn began to glow and it slammed it down on Carnivine's head, sending it flying, Carnivine used it's levitate ability to stop itself right when it hit a patch of bright sunlight. "Now Carnivine, use Solarbeam!" "Heracles, use Mega horn again!" Heracles covered about half of the distance between itself and Carnovine before it finished charging up, it released the stored energy which then slammed into Heracles hard. "Ready to give up yet?" Gardenia called triumphantly. "No, you?" Graham retorted.
    Heracles, although temporarily stopped, once again began moving closer to Carnivine right through the Solarbeam, when it was almost there Gardenia called out. "Alright, Carnivine, Leech Seed, now!" Carnivine launched a small seed out of it's mouth and onto Heracles' head, the seed sprouted and quickly wrapped roots all around Heracles' body and began draining it's energy, stunning it just long enough for Gardenia to attack again. "Crunch!" Once again Carnivine went to bite Heracles, but this time Graham was ready. "Heracles, use Close Combat, now!" Right as Carnivine was about to clamp it's jaws down, Heracles slammed a fist into it's face with all of it's power, then before it flew through the air, grabbed the tentacle like vines sticking out of the bottom of Carnivine's torso, spun it around and slammed it into a tree. "Now, finish it with Megahorn!" Heracles' horn began to glow and it slammed it into Carnivine, pinning it into the tree and knocking it out, once Carnivine fell unconcious, the leech seed harmlessly fell off of Heracles, after which Heracles let go of Carnivine and Gardenia returned it to it's pokeball.
    For the next thirty seconds Graham forgot about Gardenia when he saw Heracles sway on it's feet and fall to the ground, he ran up to it right away. "Don't worry buddy, your gonna be fine." He said soothingly, Graham then pulled out a full restore ans sprayed Heracles with it, then returned it to the pokeball, he finished just in time to notice Gardenia walking away, shouting back. "Don't say I didn't warn you."
    With all the commotion over, Graham finally joined up with everyone else, who had also managed to win their battles, he listened to the bosse's speech and began walking towards the entrance to the old Chateau with everyone else, he shivered for a moment when he heard the gate clang shut, but he was sure Darrius would find a way in, no need to worry. When everyone was inside Graham looked around with awe. "Wow...big, old, and creepy, great!" He said sarcistically, then Graham looked around. "Well, looks like it's time to split up, I'd prefer to go down stairs personally, if for no other reason than that most of my pokemon are rather....heavy, and wouldn't do as much good up where the floor would probably just break under them. Graham noticed the girl next to him who wasn't handling the frightening experience quite as well as him. "Well, none of my pokemon can really light up rooms but, I've got this industrial strength flashlight at least." Graham reached down to his belt and grabbed his light and flipped it on, it lit up a large part of the room but sadly, it couldn't light up in all directions at once, just where Graham pointed it.
    Everything was dark, and not the kind of dark where you have trouble telling which is your wallet and which is your cell phone, no, the kind of pitch black darkness where you cannot tell if you have your eyes open or closed; It was rather uncomfortable for Max here.
    Out of the blue max felt a bump on his back. He would have jumped if he had not remembered that one of his pokemons had the habit to do that. It was Liria, the dragonfly pokemon had accommodated herself on Max's back just like a bug stands on a wall, it was a curious sight indeed but Max was already used to his pokemon's bug like behavior.
    A girl began speaking. This particular voice came from near his surroundings and sounded frightened. Under normal circumstances the young man would have waited for someone else to speak, she was no one he knew after all, but this was obviously outside the boundaries of daily basis stuff, you know, being shut tightly in a dark dark room usually means trouble.
    Just before Max could open his mouth another voice spoke, and followed by that a light was lit. The voice owner was, of what Max recalled, Graham.
    "Thanks, the darkness was starting to annoy me bad."
    It was not much light, but it would suffice for now. Getting Midori out was not that necessary right now, especially since she would probably get frightened or something.
    "The jumpy girl is right though, we are a large bunch and this place seems too cramped for all of us to stick together. I just wonder if Darrius actually locked us in here or if this is what Gardenia was warning us about."
    The light eventually went over to Max and Liria, and even though the pokemon was on her trainer's back, she began flapping her wings in excitement, as if she was about to fly over the shiny source of light.
    "Don't!"
    Liria's wings slowed down to an eventual halt, but Max could feel his pokemon's resentment as she strained the grapple on his back.
    "Pfft… Anyways, Graham right? I think you are on my team, I don't have objections on going down, and I think she…" Referring to Azleyla which he was not completely sure was her name. "…would rather go up where the rays of light might filter trough the windows."
    [OOC: I was trying to decide if any of Amarantha's Pokemon might reasonably know Flash. Then I realized that even if they knew Flash, she would not use it much anyway.]
    For a moment Amarantha was silent, allowing the voices of her teammates to give her a clearer picture of their surroundings. Judging by the acoustics, most of the surfaces around her appeared to be made of wood. No surprise. And cracks in straight lines . . . door edges, probably. Some form of metal structure seemed to be above the front hall, hanging from the ceiling. Though she could not discern details, Amarantha guessed it was a chandelier. They were common enough in large, old houses. Hopefully it was not a trap.
    Resting her staff against her inner shoulder, Amarantha said, "Agreed. Regardless of the reason we seem to have been trapped in the chateau, we still have a mission to complete, and it would make no sense for us to allow ourselves to be stopped at the first obstacle. Since we have teams that were probably decided for a reason, we should use them." Here Amarantha paused, brushing a bit of hair behind one ear as she listened to the echoes of her own voice. "Unless I am mistaken, we seem to be faced with two floors available for exploration. If this trainer's . . ." Here she indicated Graham with a wave of her hand. ". . . team cares to explore the first floor, I would not mind. But we should all decide where we would work best. And also . . ." Amarantha turned her face toward each of the people present--unable to view them but indicating them in her own way. "Before we start, perhaps we should introduce ourselves. I imagine it would make team division simpler." Taking ahold of her staff in her right hand, Amarantha smiled politely, though she was unsure anyone could see it. "My name is Amarantha, though I tend to go by Mara. And despite circumstances, it is an honor to meet you all."
    I hope moving deeper into the building is not a mistake. Darrien could have important information regarding any dangers we might face. But as vulnerable as we might be further inside, we are vulnerable enough here already. The closing doors indicate that any forces present are already aware of us and our location. That would leave as the main problems, as I can currently recall, traps or location-bound forces. Anyway, judging by the way Darrien was acting, he foresaw no danger for us here . . . I just hope that was not on account of special information he possessed and decided not to brief us on earlier for some reason. Amarantha stifled a sigh. Maybe it would be best not to mention my doubts to the others. They seem nervous enough as is.
    "Hmm... Locked in huh..." Mark said with a mellow tone. He took a quick glance around the abandoned Chateau. Two staircases leading upstairs, And a door leading to another room on the first floor. "Guess I should take this stuff off..." Mark said as he removed his trench coat, Natu mask, And Fedora off of him. While he was busy, Three of the trainers already began discussing plans, Lighting the place up, and debated who should go where. Two trainers had agreed to go downstairs, Possibly from team light.
    As mark removed his Natu mask, He commented... "I personally don't care which way we go. But we aren't going anywhere if we don't even know the names of our own teammates. like she said, Lets organize ourselves a bit first before spliting up."
    Mark threw his natu mask over to the side with the rest of the stuff and faced Armantha who had already introduced herself. "Mara right? I'm mark..." He than let his sableye, Snype, back outside of his pokeball. "This is Snype... My loyal partner."
    Snype gave off a very menacing grin when he was glancing at each of the trainer's bags/pockets. Mark closed up to snype and whispered... "Snype... Don't...even...think about it... (Not yet at least). We don't even know if anybody here knows who exactly we really are...". Mark stood back up and continued.. "If any of you haven't introduced yourselves, now would be a good time. I know the names of my teammates but not their faces..."
    Graham noticed everybody seemed to think introductions were a good idea. "Sorry, I guess I was a little over-curious about beginning to explore, I'm Graham, I'm known for my balanced team of pokemon, sorry for not introducing myself before everyone." As Graham looked around at the room something felt.....off....maybe he was just being superstitious again, but then he remembered his old saying his parents had taught him and reflexively said it out loud. "Most of the world will never accept it, but most superstitions are real and just tend to be good at stopping people from learning of them...."
    Graham couldn't shake it....."If Gardenia comes here so often....who's to say she's wrong?....she may have seen a lot more of this place than anybody knows.....and Darrius is locked out.....I'm not one to get scared...but I am one to get worried, and this place worries me....
    Azleyla was still glancing around the pitch-black room like a frightened Pidgey as some of the others introduced themselves. She had been feeling eyes on her from the time she took her first step into this Arceus-forsaken place. She had still not released Korbin's arm, and did not show any signs of doing so until she was forcibly removed or told off. Azleyla turned to where most of the voices of the other recruits were coming from.
    "Uhmm, m-my name is Azleyla, but I guess you can call me Leyla, everybody d-does." she introduced herself with less stuttering than before, as she was growing more used to being in this creepy place, and her eyes were adjusting to the dark. She was beginning to see the outlines of the others faintly.
    "And it doesn't matter to me w-where my Team goes, everything's probably going to have the same level of dark and spooky-ness, so... I really don't care as long as I'm not alone."
