Ash's Final 2 Pokemon

Well we really should wait to see if Ash and Dawn actually trade. If they do, then his water type is covered.

I could see Ash having a lot of problems with a really vicious Weavile though.. that's probably just me..
 
I doubt SHinji will toss another pokemon. Plus his Weavile is as much of a jerk as he is.
 
I keep thinking Gible would be a good addition. Ash has always had a variety of types- Why not dip into the dragon pool by adding the half dragon/ground type?
Plus, Gabite seems very similar to Sceptile in terms of design, in my opinion (The blades on his arm, I mean)

I could see his final team being:

  • Pikachu
  • Turtwig/Grottle [Seeing as Paul already has Torterra, I highly doubt Ash's Turtwig won't be fully evolving]
  • Staraptor [All of his other birds have fully evolved. Swellow, Pidgeot, Noctowl]
  • Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape [I'm not really sure on this one. I could see Ash evolving it once, twice or not at all. Who knows.]
  • Gabite

    And depending on if Ash & Dawn trade or not:
  • Ambipom [Of course they'll evolve it. Why would they give Ash an Aipom just before an Aipom evolution was revealed, if they DIDNT want to evolve it? Which sucks since Aipom is so cute. :( ]

  • Buizel [I'm not sure why, but I don't really see him with a Floatzel, just because of how freaking rabid the thing looks 0_o ]
 
I don't really see a Gliscor with Ash. Sorry, I just don't. Here's what I think we may see:

  1. Pikachu
  2. Aipom -> Ambipom (A definite chance to me!)
  3. Starly -> Staravia -> Staraptor (maybe)
  4. Turtwig -> Grotle (It may not evolve into a Torterra since Paul already has one.)
  5. Chimchar -> Monferno -> Infernape (This might happen. I think it will since Chimchar has a lot of strength and seems loyal to it's trainer. It was to Paul, even though he thought it was weak and useless. It may return the favor to Ash and evolve for him.)
  6. Mantyke (I think either this one or Riolu will join the team!)
 
I don't want Ash to Aipom, so I think that his final Pokemon not including Chimchar will be either Totodile from Oak, or maybe Blue Shellos. So what if Zoey has a pink one? Dawn has enough water types, and Brock may something else as his last Pokemon. Paul has an Elekid, which has a good shot of evolving into Electivire and Gary has an Electivire, and I see no one complaining about that.
 
I think it's funny how everybody says Ash will get a ground type and how likely it is, except for the fact that Turtwig's evolutions are part ground :P
 
Turtwig and Grottle are both Grass types. Not Grass/Ground types as Torterra is.
Plus neither Turtwig nor Grottle learn any ground type moves. (In their natural, level up move set. I mean unless there's a twist and Ash stumbles upon a TM26, they're not going to know any ground type moves.)

And seeing as it's practically ruled out that Ash will get a Torterra, that means that his team is lacking a ground type.
 
We can't jsudge the water pokemon thing really until after DP55. I mean until we see the episode we can't really tell.
 
Yeah I guess, but I mean at this point its SHellos, Mantyke, or Buizel for his water type. If he gets one that is.
 
Yeah, but people said the same thing abotua fire type and look. Also the writers want him to have a well balanced team. It's one of the very few things the writers do rationally anymore.
