I'm almost inspired to start a new game of Yellow and trade my pikachu over to crystal and see for myself. But meh... maybe someone else has already done it. Anyone? I dunno... it could be a random thing too... If anyone wants to do it, I think Pikachu is carrying a light ball when you do. =3... either that or some TM... I can't remember, lol.

I think the lady's name who voices Pikachu is Ikuko Inoue, but I could be wrong. And just because a character is voiced by someone of the opposite sex doesn't mean they're gay or effeminate when they shouldn't be. Take Ranma 1/2 for example.... errr.... waitaminnit... bad example. Forget I said that, lol.

Okay, Dragonball Z. All the men in the Son Goku Family are voiced by one lady and one lady alone. And that lady is....

Of course, many times a male character will recieve a female VA. Rocky the flying squirrel, etc.

Mine was female according to Stadium 2, but I doubt that's significant to the show.

That's RED in GSC and Stadium 2. Not Satoshi. Two completely different characters. Satoshi doesn't have a Fushigibana, Kamex or Eefi.

And Pikachu's gender in Yellow (when transfered to GSC) is random, as every other Pok?mon's (excluding gender specific ones) is.

Pikachu is male.

The reason is, Japan uses the Male stereotype in many of their Animes (and games for that matter). The male lead is always the hero of the show. If it so happens that the hero is female, then there will ALWAYS be a male lead to get them out of some sort of tight spot (Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors, Ghost in the Shell...etc...).

It has just been a tradition in Japan for years and years, and unfortunately, I don't foresee it changing any time soon...

I think his Pikachu is a female , look at Jigglypuff (the one who travel with them) , she acts like a girl after her singing (aka "ARG!!! How can't they?! I show them!
