Name: Emmet Leidner
Age: 16
Appearance: Emmet's sort of short for his age, or at least average height, standing at around 5'7". He's lean but not super ripped nor incredibly gaunt- his body is just averagedly [is that a word? xD] muscled. His hair is lighter brown mixed with some natural blond on the top and is around an inch or two in length, and is darker brown on the sides, where it is neatly buzzed. Emmet's bangs jut out over his forehead, making for interesting tan lines in the summer. His eyes are icy grey mostly, fading to dark navy around the edges and are sheltered by dark, thick yet clean eyebrows. Thin lips sit under his long, rounded nose and his jaw is very chiseled and regularly smooth. Safe to say his most appealing and above-average feature is his face. Nowadays he typically wears polos, long sleeved henleys and preppy hoodies at his mother's request, though Emett doesn't care about his attire himself.
Personality: Emmet's got an extremely large heart; he's very caring and compassionate and protective. He's a respectful, polite and grateful kid- for what he lacks in wealth he makes up in manners. Optimism and determination make up his morals, but he's quite reserved and socially awkward, particularly around females, finding them especially imtimidating. Not so street smart (refer to the "socially akward" again), Emmet is definitely book smart and has always excelled in school despite his lack of study time. He's extremely open minded and unjudgemental, and is very ignorant of technology, preferring to linger in books. Emmet has developed an independent personality and is a professional at concealing his feelings. His goal on this expedition is to loosen up a bit around strangers and make a friend.
History: Chris Leidner was from the buzz of Saffron City in Kanto, and Ashley Schmidt was of Goldenrod City in Johto, so many were surprised when the newly-weds decided to settle in the small town of Mahogany Town, Johto. That was there they raised there twin children, Emmet and Tallie. The family struggled with money and often veered to the brink of poverty, but the Leidners still remained close and happy, for the most part. When the two children were in grade school, Tallie was diagnosed with a rare disease that caused her frailty and frequent panic attacks and the occasional seizure. It turned out that Emmet was one of the few things that could resolute these attacks, and so from an early age of 7 Emmet became her guardian and forfeited much of hs developing social life to babysit Tallie at all times of the day until his parents came home, and sometimes even then. He was grateful to be able to keep his ill sister calm, but secretly resented it as he watched all of his peers form strong friendships with each other from the sidelines, but of course he'd never declare this aloud. Anyway, Emmet hung out with his cousins from Goldenron sometimes since Tallie was okay around them. A little over a yar ago, Emmet's mother, Ashley, was finally given a break and was offered a pharmaceutical job Blackthorn City, a promotion from her work in the local "Pokemon Center", and the family started to slowly rise out of their financial slump, but most of her new income was devoted to a nanny and therapy for Tallie, who condition was dramatically improving. Anyway, Emmet was more or less free of his day-care shackles, but he found trying to make friends again was awkward and unsuccessful. He was so far out of the loop and hardly knew anyone's names, and so he turned to Pokemon, for which he found an incredible passion and endearment. When his mother got wind of this research team under the Aurora, he enthusiastically snatched it up with encouragement from both parents and his twin. He felt guilty about leaving Tallie behind, but she was doing so much better physically and was even having more success making friends than he was.

Gender: Male
History: Tallie's favorite place to walk to was the Lake of Rage north of Mahogany Town, and so Emmet often brought her there for a breath of fresh air. It was simply inhabited by Magikap, but one day, when he was around 13, the boy noticed an unknown Pokemon under the water, hunting for the pathetic fish. A few weeks later, he noticed it again on the beach, as did Tallie. She remained calm. A good sign. A year later, when the nurse/nanny had taken over as Tallie's babysitter, Emmet and his cousins were playing around at the lake again. The unknown Pokemon was lounging on the beach, unaware of his visitors, and so Emmet's cousins caught the Dewott and gave it to him. He was ecstatic at having a constant companion again, one to sort of fill the shoes of his sister, who approved of her brother's new Pokemon. The Dewott was named Bo and proved to be a very lazy and stubborn Pokemon but developed a strong bond with Emmet nonetheless, and now the two are BFF's.
