You know...you're half right. I did think these things for a long time, but I never really realized em till it happened.
A staff feedback thread is kinda wierd o.o I don't really have much feedback on them because I don't really know detailed what they do/have to go through. I think my opinion would be bias, and so would others.
Barely anyone knows what the staff has to do...and they have to do a lot, a whole lot.
Y'see, that's where you're wrong. I'm a site admin at this one site (that didn't become to popular because it stunk) and when I was closing and stickying just a few threads, I got kinda aggrivated. Being a mod and everything may heighten your popularity level, but I bet being one also means hating PC more and more everyday...just a thought. Technically, there are only around 60% of those 14,000 people who actually post daily. Nyah, make that 30% xD. If you look at the members list, it's flooded with members who haven't even posted 3 posts. Praetors, Sadmins, Admins...they have to run PC. The board isn't just some interface you plug and play into. There's so much scripting and hacking and bugs that need to be worked out every day. We needed to constantly decide who we wanted to mod, demod, ban, un ban...all the time, and every one has a different opinion. I remember it took forever just to get the T-dome running, and it took even longer to take it down. I remember how ever little decision needed Steve or Kwesi's approval, so hectic. I remember how stressful it was when rep was getting out of hand. Man rep was bad, getting 50 pm's a day from members complaining about how they were bad repped.
And do you guys know how many PM's a week we get? Hundreds...all of em, complaining....
And you can't mess up when you're a higher staff. If you do...dead, really...you got every other admin on your back. There are somethings you can say as a member that you can't really say as a staff. It's a lot harder than everyone gives it credit for...
