    i've been trying to upload this picture as my avitar

    but it says the file is to large. So is there anyway to size this down, without me having to re-create it all over again?
     
    feleting a few frames might help, but in case you haven't saved the animation, yes you will have to^^;;
     
    Er, I know a way of resizing images without having to remove/delete anything from them. Get a Photobucket account. If you have one already, that's great. Upload your image, click on it, and it shoudl give you an option to edit it. Once you click on the edit option, you'll be given a number of other options but all you want is the resizing option. Click that and resize it so you can use it as your avatar on here.

    Edit: However, that solution may not work on animated images. I'm not sure.

    yea, it doesnt work on animations. luckily i always save a .xcf duplicate in GIMP just in case something like this happens. so i'll just delete a few frames
