I see what you mean... almost every episode nowadays has the same layout:
  • Ash and co. wander off somewhere
  • they meet some person
  • Either TR makes some kind of trouble, or some non-TR-related bad thing happens
  • the new person(who never shows up in another episode again, except for a few...exceptions) explains the problem and Ash and co. volunteer to help...
  • (optional) a pokemon(belonging to Ash, one of his friends, or the new person) evolves
  • Ash and Co. solve the problem
  • they walk away to somewhere else....
 
Hmm...lemme try this...I haven't seen the show in 3 years but...neh

-Ash finds trainer

-Trainer has miniscule, almost worthless problem

-Ash laughs obnoxiously and volunteers to help even though it's in direct interference with his OWN quest

-Misty screams "All right!" or some stereotypical girlish thing like that. Only to be followed by an incredibly tomboyish comment like "Ash you moron!"

-Team Rocket shows up and stands around

-Jesse does some dominatrix thing, while James just proves himself to be more and more of a homosexual

-They blast off again...

-The Trainer ends up solving his own problem, only to say "Oh! If all I had to do was [stupid obvious task] then [stupid obvious event] would have happened!!" This reveals that Ash wasted his whole time

-They wave at each other for a good 9 hours

-END
 
Absolutely correct, Dylan. People who thought that Hoenn would breathe new life into the series were sadly mistaken.

And even more correct, D; unfortunately the characters can be boiled down to that...and your descriptions were cruel enough to be right on the money >D
 
Well, I got some cool things to tell you. Episode 32 of Naruto is a really beautiful episode. There's some really beautiful imagery of Sakura in it. Plus, she's really beautiful in it, too.:) "blushes" She gets some really nice character development as well.

Don't forget the fact that Ash never fails to laugh like a retard cognitively-impared person for those nine hours of waving.

Oh, they're also idiots and walk directly into the sunset at the end of EVERY episode. You'd think they'd have a wonderful assortment of burns and cataracts and deformities on their gigantic corneas.
 
Yep, it will be worth waiting.^_^ The rest of the Zabaza episodes will be great too.

Also, I think that's enough with the bashing right now. Besides, they used that story layout ever since the old days too. I don't even want to bash the series. Besides, if I never started watching, I'd never get to see the cuteness of Misty
