In the future, a machine was created to produce baby without the need of sperm and ovum. With this machine, mothers on all over the world won't be suffering when giving birth and also reduce the death. In your opinion, do you agree with the creation of this machine or you simply against it? State your opinion.

So that's how babies are made...

I see no problem with this, except maybe for one thing that might seem strange. I think it's possible that the pain a mother goes through during birth may actually help create the bond they have with their baby. I'm not sure what happens in the relationship psychologically if you take away that part of it, but it seems like it could affect it.

I've into a user at Disquis' Ethics group who encourages baby factories because of our growing technology in genetic engineering and VR for people to make love without meeting each other irl or in need for making babies. However, I fear this will make these people forget about the feeling of making love irl and how baby factories reinforces children having no ability to choose his or her own life because of the dominant traits predetermined by his or her parents via genetic engineering, which the same user disagrees with it being a problem.

How does a baby normally have the choice in their genetic traits? It's a roll of the dice the natural way, or it's like building a character sheet the genetic engineering way. The added bonus is making sure the baby doesn't suffer from any genetic problems that the parents may have. It really seems up to the parents, I for one would not want to pass down my Bi-Polar disorder if I had that option.

You have to remember the stories of parents wanting their kids to be more like them and kids trying to rebel and make their own choices, so this technology is only encouraging them to their own perfect baby that will have no other choice outside of the preferred genes and traits the parents want.

The parents would be able to choose the genes how they want, but that doesn't mean they can make the child grow up to be like them.

You can really only offer lessons to a child, it's ultimately up to them on whether they actually learn from them or not.

For example, my dad is a drummer, and he tried to get me into that at a young age. I didn't like it, so I didn't do it, and in fact, I'm not really musically inclined at all. And I've seen many times where someone is raised a certain way throughout their childhood and teenage years, but when they move out as an adult, they usually end up doing things completely different after experiencing that kind of freedom.

So my point is that even if you can choose a child's genes exactly, you can't ever completely choose what goes into their heads, and the thought processes that occur in there. They'll always have choices in life.
