Baby Pokemon are Pokemon at the lowest stage of their evolution line that can't breed. They are usually obtainable by breeding, though there are some circumstances where some are catchable in the wild. Most of them also need high levels of friendship to evolve, which can be a challenge considering their stats being weak to those of their evolutions.

Starting from 6th Gen, baby Pokemon (along with other Undiscovered egg group Pokemon) are guaranteed 3 perfect IVs when caught in the wild.

Also, don't forget to discuss your favorite baby Pokemon as well.

It's probably worth mentioning that we haven't had a baby Pokemon in a while, haven't we? From my quick research, it seems Mantyke was the last one, and that was two generations ago.

Maybe Game Freak is done with baby Pokemon. It would be a shame if that was the case.

You know, I can see where you're going. I feel that since it's been three generations since we got new baby Pokemon (in fact six of them), Game Freak may have realized how terrible the mechanic has been, but at least they did get justice with having Undiscovered egg group Pokemon having three guaranteed perfect IVs.

While I think baby pokemon are adorable, I dislike the concept. When I'm playing the game I want to progress, not run back and forth for happiness to evolve a baby pokemon. If I let it happen naturally, it is much lower level than the team. Then I have to train it up. Dislike happiness (by walking) evos. I do like Pokemon Refresh though. That seems like a good thing to use for happiness.

I don't know about the IV's, but Magby is so cute! :pink_love:

And I agree with Galaxie about disliking the concept. While I like all those cute baby pokemon, I'd rather evolve them as soon as possible. So, the time I'm spending with baby pokemon is short, despite them being adorable (:

It would be a shame if Game Freak was done with baby Pokemon, they're so cute! My favourite has to be Azurill, it's so cute and I love the way it sits on that ball thing.

I haven't shared my fave baby Pokemon until now, but I have to say my joint fave is Azurill and Mantyke. Not just because they are related to Water-types, but I love Azurill and its line's buff with Fairy-type addition, plus I love how cute Mantyke is. In fact, Mantyke has one of my fave cries of a baby Pokemon as well, because it fits the cuteness so well.

I miss the days where I made a GTS scheme by constantly exchanging Victini for Smoochum, by using two DS Lites, and then eventually others started doing it. I also thought Elekid was pretty cool.

Riolu can count as a Baby Pokémon because it can't breed.
