  • This error popped up when one of my friends opened my ROM in No$gba.
    "Bad Header Checksum"

    I am still a bit noob when it comes to things like this. Can some explain what checksum is and how this error can be fixed? ;-;

    Thanks in advanced!

    The byte at offset 0xBD in every gba rom is a checksum calculated from the bytes at 0xA0 to 0xBC (more info at https://problemkaputt.de/gbatek.htm#gbacartridgeheader).
    If you change the bytes between 0xA0 and 0xBC, you must recalculate the checksum for the game to be bootable on a gba console.
    Easiest way to do it is with a tool called GBATA. Just open your rom and click the fix header button.

    Thanks a lot for your help! I'll be able to fix the ROM now!
