Right now, I'm in the middle of mapping the fields that circle around my starting area. I have the most trouble with making encounter tables that makes sense in here. I know I will need to put in Pokémon with high catch rate that are perfect for the early game, but I can't seem to visualize it. I have been searching for info that might help me to put it together, but egg groups aren't that useful. Does a list exist somewhere where Pokémon are sorted by their most common appearances such as Zubat in caves? Do I have to compare it to the official games and see which Pokémon fits in which area by intuition?

I think it would be quite hard to list every pokémon's appearance in each game, but if it's your game and your own region, I believe you should be free to make pokémon spawn wherever you wish. Sorry if this isn't answering your question

Thank you for replying as I figured something like that would be hard if not impossible to find. I guess I'll just have to use common sense and not go too crazy with Pokémon that are rare in the official games.
