i think we shouldnt use gamesharks\action replay consoles\game genies ect ect. because wheres the pride in that ? i believe in legit pokemon only

i disagree. I'm only against using cheats to alter the stats of Pokemon.

Um... and I care about your opinion, why? I don't play pokemon for pride. If I want a Jirachi, I'm gonna 'shark it. If you or anyone else doesn't like it, it isn't my problem. Mind your own business. Some people like cheating. You don't have to rant and get all obsessive about how it supposedly makes the game less fun and enjoyable. If you wish to believe your ignorant "facts", it's your decision. Don't shove it down other's throats.

And... Game genie? that makes me seriously believe you have no idea what you're talking about.

pfft it doesn't matter whether a Pokemon is legit or not. It's the same either way.

*goes back to the Diamond and Pearl forum*

So if Nintendo is too Lazy to Fly over to where i Live and host a Event Why shouldn't i Cheat?

I only use it to get event stuff, Deoxys/ Celebi, ect.

yes but if you dont "shark" it and you claim it by legit it makes you proud to know you didnt cheat

And does it really? You can't stop people cheating to get things that they usually couldn't, like event Pokemon as Happy Dude ^^ above clearly gave an obvious reason why to do so.

There's no form of being "proud" if you legitimately travelled all the way to a Nintendo event to get a special Pokemon which you could get via a cheating device, saving you time and money unless it's the Darkrai from the first D/P event as it has special moves.

Does it really matter? Is there going to be a new national law that says: "No gameshark for pokemon?" No, there isn't. Not everyone has hours to find pokemon like Feebas and not all people have the time to travel across the world for a nintendo event. It's pokemon, not a way of life.

I don't cheat myself, but I see no reason why those who want to cheat shouldn't be allowed cheat. It's not like the cheaters are ruining your game so I don't see why you should care.

I dont cheat when it comes to the stats, I use a GS/ any other cheating device when it comes to last resort

Ok, fine. Tell me how to get a Jirachi in under 2 minutes without getting up from this chair, and I'll never cheat again. Ever.

And don't tell me what makes me proud. I decide what I'm proud of, not you. Plus, pride isn't always a good thing.

I think cheats to get event pokemon and trade only pokemon is okay, even though the GTS in the new games make it mostly pointless to cheat.

Its my game. If I wanna get stuff illegitly, I will. Besides, I ain't wasting money on a game I don't want just to get Manaphy when I have a shiny AR device already :]

I don't really care, I just won't battle with a hacked Pokemon with hacked moves (Taraus takes out a Blissy with Fire Blast? WTF?)

So crystalline rayquaza, you're telling me that if someone put a gameshark and a pad of paper with cheats in front of your pokemon games and gameboy/DS, you wouldn't use it? Yeah right.

The only thing I'm against when it comes to cheating in pokemon is using those with altered status or moves that they normally can't learn. That's all fine in single player, and I really don't care what you do in your single player file.

If I want to cheat to get pokemon I can't get without dishing out hundreds of dollars for a plane ticket, I will. If I want to use infinite items, I will. No one has any chance of stopping me.

Normally I honestly don't care about cheating in a vs mode game or online or whatever. It just annoys me when uber-legits think that their way is the only way, and that flying halfway across the country just for a false sense of pride makes them a good player. Since cheating is now a common method in all games, there is really no such thing as pride. This reminds me of a Halo 2 player who thought that swords and rockets were all cheater weapons, and got really annoyed because that's all people used. Tough luck sweetheart, suck it up.

    End. Of. Story.

Exactly. I hated the people who complained. I was a good Halo 2 player, not to brag. I used every weapon I wanted, because I could. Weapons that Bungie put out on the map are completely fair. But anyway, I agree with what you said about cheating. Who wants to go hundreds of miles away to get a pokemon when you can get them by buying a 20 dollar gameshark or something and get it quicker, cheaper, and easier.

personally i dont see anything wrong with sharking/cheating...just dont ask me to battle when you've got 6 level 100's and you've only been playing the game for like 8 min... they'll make me feel like i trained and did all that work for nothin, and thats a good way to tick me off...thats real talk...

I know I wouldn't. I don't want any of the event Pokémon particulary much (not that they wouldn't be cool to have; I just wouldn't use them, that's all.) and even though it can get frustrating at times, I enjoy every aspect of training Pokémon including breeding for good IVs and natures to EV training and giving good movesets. There would be no statisfaction in getting a fully EV trained, good IV'd Pokémon with perfect nature and good moveset in only a couple of minutes. I take pride in every Pokémon I've EV trained and that pride is an important part of the gaming experience. If you want to cheat, then fine, it's not my problem, but I prefer doing things the hard and fun way.
