Banned/Cheap Moves and Pokemon?

Ever heard the saying "Luck is a part of skill."?

This quote right here sums up my feelings on the subject.

That is completly cheap. If a person is foolish enough to rely on luck, let them. Moves that force your opponents to rely on luck (Double Team) is another story, but not if I wanna rely on it myself.

That said, Pokemon isn't Poker, where everyone is taking from the same deck and your good luck is dependant on someone else's bad luck, so I understand where this "anti-hax" is coming from.

I don't know if anyone said this yet, but I would just play fair. If you want a legit battle, don't use Evasion increasing moves or OHKO moves.

There's an argument for Double Team being a singular exception, which is it's not about luck - it's about power. Being able to up evasion repeatedly whilst hiding behind a Substitute and then Baton Pass it to a Poke with high defenses is different to increasing the critical hit rate by 10% whilst forgoing much more powerful items.

If I'm battling, I'll battle by "legit battle" rules - but I don't agree that evasion or OHKO moves are "unfair". OHKO moves are shockingly unreliable and strategically poor. Evasion moves are perfectly reasonable if people know to be prepared for them.
