    Why not? It's promoting good eating habits. Honey is healthy.
    I'm totally kidding....
    But seriously....I can see why. Every other americanized anime on mainstream tv thats not adult swim is made for ages 7+ basically, so I really do understand why. It's funny as heck. But just not for children.
     
    The United States really needs to get over themselves, I remember a friend showing this to me a couple of months ago; I laughed so hard but it would be nice to see it in English -_-"

    This has nothing to do with the United States and more to do with what the FCC would allow on a show that's supposed to be TV7 irrc. Either way it's up to TCPI and Turner Broadcasting what gets cut out and what stays. So I really don't see why they would keep a scene with Giovanni getting a fully body massage from a bunch of pokemon in a speedo no less.
     
    I just find it hilarious Giovanni is running around in speedos...completely did not really take in the bug thing until people pointed it out @~@ You all and the censurers have a dirty mind XD
     
    This scene had to be cut for a reason: so that the FCC/TPCi won't damage the childhoods of any young kids watching the show by showing a naked Giovanni in a speedo.
     
    That clip wasn't as bad as I was expecting.. Though it looks a bit awkward, because it doesn't look like Giovanni is covered in honey. It just looks like he's shiny, which makes the bug things kind of random and awkward. xD;

    I still understand why it was banned, especially considering what's apparently appropriate for kids in America. :/

    It looks awkward but doesn't really seem that ban worthy, like I'm sure we've seen a lot worse in the--okay nvm they banned James' thing. People are way too sensitive anyway, because even on here, people's avatars have been worse than that, lol. I dunno technically he's covered up at the end so it's fine? :x
     
    Yeah it seems quite awkward indeed Forever. Obviously for a show based around little kids, I could understand why it was banned, but from my 20 year old mind, this is quite funny.

    You have to look at the target audience this is meant for. And the parents who control what their kids watch. Say your a parent and your kids watching their usual show with creatures and what not, and all a sudden a guy in a speedo comes running along, and pokemon are making a love fest on him then the parent might find that a bit alarming. And if the episodes have to go in front of ratings boards for every episode(which I don't know how all that works like there is a reviewer or something) then the rater will say this really isn't appropriate so they decide to cut it.

    Different cultures may have less of a problem with things, like apparently they were fine with Kaiser putting guns to Ash head and every thing else that caused the Safari Zone episode to be banned but, but the US and other Dubbed countries were not.
     
    Saying that was awkward would be a understatement. :p

    There has been worse in the Pokemon animae though, especially early in the show's lifespan.
     
    I think that what got this banned was actually Giovanni's expression during the massage ...
    But yeah,very funny; wish it was in englsih
     
    Giovanni's face is so funny :pink_giggle: I did'nt know he was Poképhilous.
    I wish I spoke japanese, I really wonder what he says.
