Yes. I think it could have gone better. I like the Battle Dome in Emerald, though I think it's fine the way it is.

The facility itself is smaller. I remember with the Emerald BF, there was an area to the side where you could catch Sudowoodo. It lacks that sort of depth.

Well actually there's the fight area that has grass where you can catch some pokemon.

In my opinion, the battle froniter is awesome just the way it is, especially the scratch off thing that is only 1 battle point.

i think it's fun that they returned it.
its cool that you need to train more after the E4

i think its cool that they took the time to make it better.
its cool that you have to train harder after the E4

I really like the Battle Frontier.

However, I would like something along the lines of the Battle Pike/Battle Pyramid where you get to explore.

QFT, I really enjoyed the Battle Pyramid. Can't remember what the Battle Pike was though, might have to go searching for my Emerald again XD

the battle pyramid was the best one of them all, no lie, but I wish they would get rid of the Battle Factory because I suck at that one badly

Hate the Platinum Factory, Thorton keeps killing me with his incredibly unfair advantage. Gardevoir, Jolteon, and Swampert vs. Sneasel, Gligar, and Ivysaur. Emerald's was way better IMO. Noland had style, Thorton is a d-bag.

I feel your pain, I'm getting tired of the Battle Factory, they just want you to lose and get really pissed by smashing your game so you can get another one

Does the new Battle Frontier seem rushed?

Now call me unappreciative, but I truly do not think Nintendo and Game Freak put too little effort into the new Battle Frontier, as well as the new Elite Four rooms. The 3D structures seem...too polygonic (<--is that a word?) and for me put off a vibe of low quality. Even the facilities themselves have seemingly..."lacking" rules, if you will.

Now obviously the Battle Frontier is not as big a focus as it was in Emerald, but still, the facilities seem bland and uncreative. In Emerald you could; scale pyramids, go through a trivia based maze, use rental Pokemon, let the Pokemon fight for themselves, and fight using arena based score system, while in Platinum, you have the standard battle tower, the rental Pokemon, plus the Arcade which induces a random effect which either hinders or helps you, the Battle Castle, which has you use castle points, and the Battle Hall, which lets you choose the type you want to face.

Maybe it is just me but do they all seem...similar in the same boring sense? Not that my little rant will change anything, but I was just wondering if anyone agrees.

Yeah I agree.
As with some of the trainers in Platinum.
Like the Bird Catchers are represented as Ace Trainers.
I mean honestly... I was disappointed....
If you pay attention they did it to a couple other types of trainers also.

Yes as a matter of fact I beleive the Pokemaniac located near Pal Park's overworld sprite was the collecters(?)

Actually, I agree. The designs do offer a sense of "uncompleteness".

In Emerald you could use rental Pokemon

You can do that in Platinum too though.

As a matter of fact, Emerald's battle facilities are more than Platinum's. The layout for emerald is more interesting though, and there is also a cave filled with wild smearagles, which makes the place a cooler. Still, Platinum's battle frontier are also not bad, I got 4 frontier symbols, much easier than emerald...

Mmm, yes, the frontier was quite lacking this time around. Not that it was bad or anything, but I'm just a little disappointed that they didn't really change it all that much if they were going to bring it back again. It kind of makes me wonder if the developers might have been sick of working with Sinnoh and rushed to move onto another project? =/

Yea I agree, the Sinnoh Battle Frontier lacks creativity and is less challenging than the Hoenn Battle Frontier.
I mean Emerald introduced a lot of new things in the Battle Frontier, Platinum Battle Frontier is just not as good as I expected.

To be honest, I never even beat Emerald [I just restarted my game last week though, so I'm working on it!], but I can say that I really like Platinum's Battle Frontier. Now I haven't tried each of the facilities, but I'm in love with Battle Arcade.

The battle factory is quite fun. When my brother finally got to the leader of it, he got knocked out seriously with a Vileplume. From the looks of it they look hard...but not as hard as I thought. Much more harder.

Okay, WTF???? 71st battle at the Battle Hall, and the FREAKING GAME FREEZES. Why??? Why???

This happened to me at Palmer the second time too. T.T My game needs cleaning.
