4th Gen Battle Frontier Thread - Thoughts & Opinions

The Battle Frontier. :/

The BF is the same as Platinum's. Is GF lazy or is it just me. Maybe it isn't the same, but just some temporary thing. I hope, but with about 10 days left I doubt it. :/
 
I wouldn't mind the Castle again, as well as the Brain(s), but another Factory will make me cringe.
 
But when you could easily just trade the items over, what's the point? However, I would have motivation if there were items you could get with BP that are exclusive to HGSS.
 
i did hear somewhere that its identical to platinum's
which sucks, i really didn't like half of the facilities
i only really like the arcade + tower.
ah well, with the pokethlon and the fact i'll still be amazed by a raikou following me i'm sure i'll find enough to do on there.
 
I don't mind that they used the same brains and facilities, as that makes it compatible with Platinum. But I would be disappointed if they do what it seems they are going to do and have identical to the Platinum one. You would have thought they could alter the shape of it, move the buildings round, you know, so it's not exactly the same.
 
I'm thinking the Battle Frontier as a place will stay the same, so the buildings will look the same but the brains will be different. You never know, Red could even be the strongest brain - it make sense to do that instead of a battle at Mt. Silver.

I remember doing that all the time in Pokemon Silver.

It does make sense though. "Three years after Fire Red and Leaf Green, Red has become the strongest trainer in Johto. He resides in the Battle Frontier and has not been beaten for a long time."

Having information on the Battle Frontier isn't much of a spoiler, but a news capture to make fans want to purchase the remakes even more. However, many are concerned that the Facilities are the same as the ones in Platinum, even if for compatability reasons. Although, not much is known about the Facility Brains, whether they be the same or different.
 
I honestly don't get why they would take the same Battle Frontier as Platinum and put it in HG/SS. I mean, what were they thinking?

Gamefreak Guy 1: Hmm... Since this is a GS remake, we should OBVIOUSLY take the Battle Frontier from Sinnoh, right?

Gamefreak guy 2: Yes, of course! That is perfectly logical!

Gamefreak guy 3: All in favor?

Everyone else: YEAH!!!!
 
Why do they need to add that horrid BF in HG SS? that's one way they can screw up a game everyone's waiting a year for...if they were to add a BF, they should of added the Emerald version, the new Frontier has no Battle Dome which sucks (was my favorite facility to go to), and everything's squished together in one area.

So, yeah...Plt BF stinks, Emerald's is better.

You can't have different trainer pictures let alone different Brains, but if the trainer name and trainer type are actually typed out in the Battle Recorder, and the Pokémon are also stored in the Recorder data, then you can theoretically have new trainers (from Platinum's existing set) with different sets of Pokémon. How likely is it that the Battle Recorder will be outrightly disabled?
 
My thought is i never cared for it, so my opinion is I don't care for it.

I think it's pretty useful for keeping a battle around if you don't feel like having the camera out while you're battling.

I really couldn't see the recorder being disabled though: it's been pretty useful to everyone online for quite a while.

Also, if they were planning on adding an already existing sprite (From Platinum I mean) as the new frontier, then it could be a possibility, yes?
 
Maybe they are just using them, but will change them :S It looks okay I suppose.

Well, I'm saying a character you already know that exists, which might give them a reason to have Jasmine's sprite in Platinum? Dunno, thinking out loud I guess, but I'm only hoping we can hope for some change, as I was pretty disappointed with the lack of difficulty in the Platinum frontier.
 
I really wish they would put in something more similar to the emerald frontier in HGSS, I loved the way that there was more to it than battling such as the Pyramid. Also the Emerald factory was much better. It had loads of people, the smeargle cave, soodowoodo, move tutors + it was huge and really felt like a city of pokemon trainers, whereas platinums frontier felt like... erm...crap.
