This battle was for PSPL, taking place before Mega Steelix was banned (RIP). I didn't have the best opening to the match, mispredicting some of his switches, and I overestimated his Sneasel's damage output a bit, but Moxie Life Orb Scrafty came through for me in the end. I had to remove Aromatisse and Sneasel for Scrafty to be able to successfully sweep, which I did (ironically, in the case of Aromatisse, with Scrafty itself). His team was quite slow, with his fastest Pokemon being Sneasel, so all I needed was one Dragon Dance boost to clean up at the end of the match. I get really nervous during tournament matches, so I was pretty impressed with myself after taking the win.

This was before Alomomola was fully recognised as the defensive behemoth that it is. A reasonably solid defensive core of Ferroseed, Aromatisse and Alomomola held fort for me throughout this match, before Alomomola - with its titantic physical bulk - managed to almost single-handedly beat three of my opponent's Pokemon. It is S rank for a reason.

Melee Mewtwo, bless his pure soul, was an accomplished XY Ubers player. However, this did not translate very well to BW Ubers. Fire Arceus is not common in BW Ubers, and for good reason. Very often, you are better off using something like Swords Dance Normal Arceus or specially defensive Water Arceus. However, Fire Arceus can really screw teams up if a) sun is kept up and b) the moves you use on it have a good matchup against the opposing team. Sun wasn't kept up in this match, but my decision to run Calm Mind + three attacks instead of Calm Mind + two attacks + Recover paid dividends.

Fire Arceus sun hyper offense vs. sample team rain hyper offense. Darkrai tore through DRAIN and Fire Arceus cleaned late-game (while rain was up, no less), taking my win-loss record against this team to 3-0.

Empoleon showed how "underrated" it is in the BW Ubers environment. I didn't win this game, but that was because I got haxed at the very end. Sweep and I tended to have very lopsided games where all the luck would be distributed to one side (usually his). If I were a League of Legends champion, I'd be Miss Fortune for sure.

A helpful damage roll late-game helped me defeat Lord Outrage with Fire Arceus. If Fire Arceus is barely usable in BW Ubers, it is nigh impossible to justify using it on a team in ORAS Ubers. I did this for the memes and barely scraped through.
