Anyone been thinking about Pokemon for this yet?
It's maybe not the best battler, but Politoed could do a job, you can teach it bounce, dig and dive, all of which take it off the battlefield for a turn before hitting*, while giving a stab move plus coverage against Electric and Grass. Throw in protect and you have a Pokemon that's hard to hit.
All are physical attacks which is a drawback for Politoed, so another Pokemon who can run a similar set would be better, this was off the top of my head.
*I know some moves will still hit, but it avoids a lot of moves.
