Beakman vs. Bill Nye

I sure hope at least some of you still remember the wacky tv scientists of our youth...there was the popular Bill Nye the Science Guy who everyone knows about and is shown in videos to schoolchildren all over the world, and then there is the underrated and forgotten genius Beakman a.k.a. Paul Zaloom, who taught us science on saturday mornings with the aid or his assistants Lester the Rat and Liza...

OMG! I remember Lester the Rat! But I liked Bill Nye better, probably because they still show his show in science class. Giving me more exposer to it.

I've never heard of Beakman before. At least I don't think so... I may have. Bill Bye the science guy, on the other hand, I have heard of. I used to watch that show all the time in like 4th grade. And I remember my 8th grade science teacher would always make us watch it! We always hated having to watch it though... but then again in middle school we thought everything was stupid and boring. So I guess I'd have to go with Bill Nye on this one...

I've heard of Beakman before, but I've never seen it/him (o_O;), so I can't really pass judgement on which is better.

But all biases aside... Bill Nye is the greatest. <3 Lmao, I love him (not that way oO) He's so funny, and I used to tape every episode when I was 8. XD; And now I love watching him in science classes. o_O I'm usually the ONLY one in my class who goes "YAY!" when the teacher pulls out a Bill Nye video. ^^;; I dunno why everyone thinks it's stupid... just because it's meant for a younger audience... XD;

Lightning - Our school is strange. My class wanted to see The Magic School Bus instead of Bill Nye The Science Guy. They never got to see their bus movie, our teacher kept forgetting to bring it in.

It's probaly because I don't know who Beakman is.

My fifth grade teacher would show us a Bill Nye video once in a while.
I've never seen any educational videos that fools around that much. :P

I still remember an episode about energy and force.

Ah, I remember watching both those shows, Beakman and Bill Nye. I would watch Bill Nye everyday. I watched Beakman here and there, whenever I saw it on. They were both really funny. :P

I would say Bill Nye over Beakman though...only because I've seen Bill Nye more.

I dunno who beakman is but I had a pet snail named Beakmin. He accualy lived for 3 years!

I remember one episode of Beakman only slightly. They were doing a take off of Pizza Hut and their crust first pizzas. So, Lester came up with the idea of eating the box first. Thats the only thing I ever remember from that show.
