6th Gen Before ORAS, did you tthe main male character's hat was hair?

I did! I never really thought about why a child's hair would be white, and I guess I never really looked at the official art, but I think I just assumed it was his hair.
 
The whole time I played Emerald as a kid I thought it was his hair and I loved it, I think it's fair to say most of us are disappointed it's not :(
 
Yea, guilty here. I also believed it was white hair. When I started AS I saw it was a hat, so I went with May :P
