Beijing Olympics

Oh, I don't really know all about that gymnastic though, nor am I that bothered. It's over now =P and they're all amazing for their ages.

I'm still watching the London party thing. Mcfly... haha

@Si: I enjoyed the Olympics too ^^ I always only seem to watch the swimming/diving, gymnastics and table tennis though XD

@Suki: You should be bothered ;3 We might make 3rd place~ >>
Aw, don't diss McFly. They're pre-teen girls' heathrobs XDD

I'm planning on going. But in my eyes, it's not as glamorous because it's in England and I can take a train to London >>
It's more glamorous when you have to fly 8D

Nah, even if China was disqualified for the girls' gym team, then I don't think it would make a difference to us! They won with a billion gold medals, plus, I don't think we would have taken the gold, it would be the USA then. I just watched gymnastics, diving, track and field. Yeah, guess that's all.

I might go to the London Olympics ;D

Heh, great basketball match we have had. Even though I'm somewhat angry with the referee (running without bouncing the ball... is illegal outside the US!), I must say I enjoyed it. And Pau gets to be the top scorer in the tournament :)
It's still illegal inside the United States, it just that the Referees are compelled to not call traveling to keep the game going.

We don't have to wait till 2012 for the next Olympics. The Winter Games will be in Vancouver in 2010.

Oh yeah! Forgot about them XD. I beleive a set of singers were miming (the one with the moon), it looked pretty bad as well. I am, as most of you are sad that the Olympics has ended. It was spectacular, in my opinion!

I was really nervous when Boris Johnson took the flag. I thought something foolish was going to happen (eg. he drops the flag) XD.

Oh, how funny it would have been for him to drop the flag XD

I wonder what 2012 is gonna be like. We probably won't have finished building the stadium~ ><

Yeah we'll probably end up having to use a spectrum XD. That would be so funny :D. I hope our Olympics is spectacular.. we'll never top Beijing's Olympics!

I'm pretty sure we could take 'em on. As long as ours is fake >>
In my eyes, it was spectacular, but China really did cheat the world XD

Yes, faking the ceremony AND cheating in the gymnastics. I was really angry when i heard they had cheated in the gymnastics. I hope their medals are taken away from them.

Oh, I do too! They won't lose 2nd place, but they'll be reminded that cheating in the biggest sporting event of every 4 years, is not allowed.

What else apart from table tennis and gymnastics did China win? oO

...As far as I know, China undoubtely got the first place in the medal table, with almost more gold medals than the second and third countries together.

They won the most amount of gold medals. But overall America won with 110. China had 100.

I'll think you'll find, Franceschi, that China did exceedingly well in the diving. Yes, even if the medals for gymnastics were taken away and given to the silver medalists (which is mostly USA), i don't think China would be taken off their top spot.

But the Official Medal Table counts the number of Gold Medals, not the overall number of medals. So China won.

Oh. My bad ^^"
Still, they wouldn't move down a place just because they lost their gymnastics medals.

Hmm, maybe not, but you are forgetting those cheesed of American athletes. They would get the golds (as they were mostly the ones in bronze and/or silver), so MAYBE they could squeeze up past China in the table.

110 medals is fantastic! That's pretty heavy XD.

That is very true actually. The American's got a lot of silver and bronzes for events China won. I'd like to see America get to the top spot.
They had the best sporting achievements of the Olmpics and 110 medals is ridiculous XD
