I know their not allowed in tournaments, but I had to know. Which God Card do you think is the best?

Uh...Osirus the saint dragon would be the best.

Either Saint Dragon-The god of Osiris or The Sun of God Dragon(Ra)
Osiris has the hand thing and Ra has the sacrifice and life boosters(And God Phoenix :P)

???Huge Divinity Soldier??? ah...u must be watching the HKsub
His japanese name is "The God of Obelisk"

    XD
i dun think one of them is the strongest
    i think they're all equal

I'm jsut gonna drop this jap name rediculousness since I ain't no jap speaking person and because I grow tired of it, and I'm jsut going to come up and say that Ra own, period. The Winged Dragon of Ra. I'm not one of these people who clings to japanese names and storyplots like a child to it's bottle and I'll call them as the americans do. god bless america.

Oh, oh! *raises hand* I'm one of those people who clings to the Japanese names and plots like a little kid! =o

Anyway, Ra is pure pwnage. I do wish they'd have kept Osiris' original name, though. They obviously didn't have a problem keeping the names of Egyption Gods (since Ra was the sun god), and it's not hard to pronounce... T_T Meh, oh well.

Actually I would wager they probably changed the name because the incompetent English VAs couldn't pronounce it. At least that's what they do to Inuyasha. T-T

I know why they call him Slifer, mullet, because I was the one that pointed it out to you. Slifer happens to be the snake dragon god belonging to I belive the mountains to the east of Kyoto, Japan. So in truth, he is a japanese god and not an egyptian one.

That doesn't make sense to me... if they're trying to erase all evidence of Yuugiou taking place in Japan... why would they rename an Egyptian-based God after a Japanese one? o_O

the winged dragon of ra is cool cause they hardly show him.

That's Taja the female Dragon of wind, isent it? Saint Dragon of Osirus has nothing to with Japan, it's legend along witht he other three all come from Arabic/Egyptian myths. You got it all wrong Poji, Slifer was just a random name that came out, it's a good name but has nothing to do with the Japanese myth of the four guards. Saint King Oblisku is my favorite, it's got some of the best powers out of the three, as the other two can be stoped very EASY.

Ra is Da Best. *in homer simpson voice*hmmm power

I am NOT wrong, because they directly refer to that one god of Kyoto as Slifer, a snake dragon. I learned this from another anime based in Japan, which I doubt would lie, since it was a explanation of Kyoto Religion. Even if was a name change for the dub, it would still mean that the japanese name of both creatures are the same, because they don't make two different translations of the same word when it comes to names.

And they never pick a name at random. Slifer is the name of the Japanese god, Obelisk is the title of those stone pillars in Egypt. The Washington monument is an Obelisk. And Ra, as everyone knows, is the egyptian god of the sun. They never pick a name at random. Yugi's name is the japanese verb " To play" and his alter ego Yugi-oh Literally translates to "king of games". So I feel it's safe to say I'm not the one who's wrong here. :\ And Tristan, tea, and Joey's names translate to be the way they are now. And mai, don't know her japanese name but it's obvious by her last name why it was meant to be that way. and Seto and Mokuba sound Japanese in themselves.
