Best mario game

As far as the 3D games go...Super Mario 64 DS.

super mario 64 ds isn't as good as the original. but if you don't have a Wii or N64 then good choice. and you can finally play as luigi!

I have yet to play all the Mario games, but I have played a good amount of them. I like the originals, those are always fun, and Super Mario 64. I feel in love with that game. I wish they did a remake of it.

Super Mario Galaxy was incredibly adorable, I love that game to pieces~ I also liked Super Mario Sunshine, but I found that some parts of the game were a tad repetitive. I haven't gotten far in Galaxy yet, but everything I've seen so far is new, fresh, and exciting. The game's nice and easy, too, which is good for a crappy gamer like myself. XD;

Apart from those two, though, I'm in love with the Mario Kart series, particularly "Double Dash!!". I'm quite looking forward to get the one for Wii, I'm hoping it's good~

I think the major downfall are the controls. If you play with the stylus or the control pad you have very weak control. I don't think most people think to use the thumbstrap (which only came with the original DS, not the lite). If you play with the thumbstrap you have almost analog-like controls. So, that coupled with better graphics, more playable characters, and more Stars make it a better game in my eyes.
