Hi, i'm starting my pokemon platinum game today, and i am going to start with turtwig. My sister is going to give me a riolu and cubone from her game for starlys :). can you suggest the first 4 pokemon i should catch? (don't say not riolu, cubone or turtwig, they are for sure!)

Just balance out your team. If I were you, I'd catch a Water Pokémon and a Flying Pokémon. If you're new to this, go for the safe option and use a team that will make the game easy for you. Don't overlevel your sister's Pokémon or they won't obey you. If you've played the games a few times before, you should be able to choose on your own. That's all the advice I can give you when I'm half asleep.

If you need a strong fire pokemon, then choose Houndoom for that matter (I'm saying this only because that's my favorite pokemon though xD).

I can send you a hatched Lv1 Houndour as a gift if you are interested ^^ PM me or whatever.

don't worry, my sister has every pokemon, and she will send me eggs. There was a mistake on the firsrt pot, My sister will send me riolu OR cubone. They're both level one :)

I'll aim for budew, starly, abra and... and... shinx?

what do you think about them?

That's a decent enough team for starting off, I guess. Budew, Abra and Starly are good in my opinion. Shinx is... meh... I used one. It didn't really come in handy at all. Whatever you like though. I'd still be inclined to use a water Pokémon. What about a Finneon or a Magikarp?

i'll have to wait until i get a fishing rod, then i can get a water pokemon. I might try a magikarp. Aim for a gyarados.

A good team based on your requirements would be

    Torterra
    Lucario
    Gyrados/Golduck/Floatzel
    Flareon
    Frostlass/Rotom
    Hm Slave/Flying Type/Psychic Type

Purple means if you choose Golduck or Floatzel

Green means if you choose Floatzel or Gyrados

Black means if you don't mind a Legendary

Sorry, but thread asking for teams aren't allowed here. Anything works in-game if you train them enough D:
