"What are you laughing at?" the strange person who was obviously a goth, had felt quite offended by Sean and the barman talking about him. Sean was lost for words and just shrugged, "What are you on about..?" in return, the boy gave an evil scowl and had to do something. He was trying to make Sean scared, and make him feel tougher, because he obviously didn't like looking weak. "You know what." he made a pause, before continuing what he was saying. "Sean." this was fairly obvious that Sean knew who he was now, and the boy knew who Sean was. "Callum." now they both met again, they obviously were not friends, but not rivals. "Yeah, that's me. The one who was so madly after Eevee. And lost it. I can't believe you can brag about that, you didn't even get it!" he started to get more frustrated than he was at first, Sean closed his eyes before saying something. "Yes, well. It aint no big deal. Just apprieciate the Pokemon you have." it was not such a good idea to give him any advice at all, as Callum growled back loudly. "Come with me. Let's take this somewhere else." Callum grabbed his arm firm, and dragged Sean away, out of the cafe. "Oi! What are you doing!?" Sean shouted at him, Callum kept pulling him across the city. Until there was a small building that was not a house, but a building. It was dark,. grey and only little light.

Callum let go of Sean, but Sean didn't run away as he did want to see what that was all about. "What was that for?" Sean questioned as if he thought Callum was mad. But he was mad, and hated what Sean had just said in the cafe. "They aren't even good enough. You have no clue how long it took me to look for Eevee, way before you even heard about it!" he was stressed, as his teeth were all showing as he was taking deep breathes. Sean just raised his eyebrows and was jumped by Callum's loud speech. "Calm down. Clam down." but all Sean said made him less calm, he had had it. "Don't even bother. You aint my friend, and never will be. I tell you what, get out of here. I cannot waste my time on-" Callum's rude remark was interrupted by a glowing ray coming out of Sean's bag, which was a Pokemon. It was the worst Pokemon that could come out at this time, Eevee. Callum's mouth dropped as he watched Eevee's glowing, sparkling coat as it was nuzzling Sean's leg, looking very happy. Callum was stuttering, as Sean was just crossing his fingers that he wouldn't break into fists now. "D-Do you have a-any idea w-what you h-have d-d-done to me!?" he screamed out loud in horror, while Sean tried to approach the exit. But Callum had other plans. "No. Stay. I challenge you to a battle!" since he had lost out on the Eevee that Sean had, Callum was very mad and had a grudge on him. The first way for him to take effect on that grudge was to battle him. "I'm listening..." Sean was up for any challenge, as it would just make his Pokemon stronger. "4 on 4. All our weakest Pokemon. Weakest first. I wanna prove to you how hard I can be and make you regret how you'll train that Eevee up." now Sean was angry, because he hated to be criticized on how he trained his Pokemon up. "Whatever. I don't train mine up with brute force. Unlike some." As a response to that, Callum pointed to a spot in the building where Sean had to stand, and he followed. Eevee was already out of the Pokeball, and ready to battle. "Beware. I beat Diane just recently." was the last advice Sean gave to Callum, which made him laugh. "Ha. I'm out of her league. I ALWAYS beat her. So you, well, you should be no problem."

OOC: sorry for the no posting, our internet's been down :(

Warren's breath came in harsh pants as the sound of the motorcycle grew louder and louder behind him. There was no way he could out pace an engine, unless...Warren glanced at the sides of the path. They were lined with thick woods, to stop anybody from cycling off the path. His bike couldn't get through, but neither could that motorbike. There was only one thing to do. Bracing himself for impact, Warren turned in a screeching skid, then cycled straight towards the edge of the path, throwing himself off the bike and to the floor. Except the floor wasn't quite how he imagined it to be. Rather than being flat and level, the ground on the sides of the road sloped away steeply. Warren landed hard on his stomach, then rolled and slid halfway down the slope. Sky, grass, earth...all blended together into a multi-coloured whirl as Warren flew down the slope, moving faster and faster. Desperate to stop, he flung out an arm and, by luck or by judgement, grabbed a root, bringing his descent to a jerking halt. Warren moaned quietly as he lay on the embankment. Everything hurt but, as far as he could tell, nothing was broken. A faint buzzing, mixed with a hiss, signified the arrival of Beedrill and Gastly. Warren hit on an idea. The bottom of the slope was too far away for him to even see, but he wasn't planning on just dropping.
"Beedrill, String shot! And Gastly, Lick!" he called quietly, grabbing hold of the silk and the tongue and ignoring the sticky saliva. He could still hear an engine rumbling at the top of the slope, but the biker didn't seem too keen on following Warren.
"Okay," Warren whispered, "Now lower me, slowly!" Gastly and Beedrill set themselves back against the slope, then slowly began to reel out their lines. Ignoring the fact that Gastly was drooling on his arm, Warren braced himself as he crashed into a layer of foliage, emerging underneath, spitting out leaves. He fell as his feet finally hit ground, then tugged on the tongue and the string, yanking Beedrill and Gastly through the sheet of tree tops and into the small clearing below. Down here, the forest was dark and dank, completely opposite to the clean, civilised road up above.
"Gaaaaaaasssss..." Warren glanced at the ghost behind him. Beedrill had survived the battle with cuts and bruises, but Gastly looked like it was in serious pain.
"Return, Gastly," Warren called in a hushed voice, "Beedrill, in a place like this, I'd rather you stayed out of your ball, okay?" Beedrill nodded, almost imperceptibly. Warren grinned.
"Good! Then let's get moving!"

Sam walked out of the pokecenter...the air was crisp, like it always was in the morning here. James had arrived late last night after an intense gym battle. He had won! Now they both had 5 badges and were about ready to go find their sixth, in Fuschia City. "James! Let's go!" Sam said, looking around. He had to find a bike shop before he could leave town...come to think of it...the department store might have some. That was the priority place today...and then they could leave. James arrived outside, ready to go.

Sam noticed that James was cradling Munchlax in his arms. Sam noticed that Munchlax looked a lot stronger then he was a few days ago. James could tell what Sam was thinking and he pointed to a biker in the corner. The biker was surrounded by a few bikes. There was a huge sign above his head saying 'Bike Sales'.

"What for one of those bikes?" Sam asked desperately. He had been looking for one for days. "It'll be...for you kid? 2000 pokedollars. Take it or leave it." the man said. Handing over the money, Sam also bought a service kit, not completely trusting this guy. James also picked one up as they left the store. Hopping on their new bikes, they headed out towards the Cycling Road. A guard stopped them simply to ask if they had bikes while drinking a soda only to let them by. "Well...we're here...shall we get moving?" Sam asked James.

"Yes. I can't wait to get to Fushcia City because I hear there is a Safari Zone full of exotic Pokemon." James began to ride off down the hill. He looked around and gestured for Sam to follow him. James was clutching Munchlax in between his thighs and as usual Munchlax was being awkward.

They hadn't been far before they noticed a familiar sight. It was Grant...and a girl they hadn't seen before. "Who're you?" Sam asked curiously. "What? You don't remember me, Sam? That hurts...its me! Casey!" the girl said. "Whoa! Casey?! Havn't seen you for a while. What's up?" Sam asked. "Nothin' much. Say! I'm kinda bored right now and I just caught a new pokemon...wanna battle?" Casey asked. "Um...James? You in for a fight? Trust me when I say that we won't get any further if we don't...so let's fight?" Sam asked.

"Sam let's do it!" James shouted. He jumped off his bike and led it on the floor. James pulled Munchlax from his thighs. James already knew what Pokemon he was using.

"Hm...well, since you're using Munchlax...go! Vulpix!" Sam said, having his own baby pokemon come out. It flew out with a cute little growl. "Let's do it! Squirtle!" Casey said, throwing out her own pokeball. Out came a blue turtle, which Sam quickly scanned for his pokedex. "Now! Makuhita!" Grant yelled, throwing a pokeball of his own. It was a pokemon he had transferred to the region recently. "Let's do it! Ember!" Sam said. Vulpix released its flames at the ground near his opponents. "Now! Have Munchlax attack!" Sam yelled to James. James whipped out his Pokedex and scanned the two Pokemon.

Squirtle
[PokeCommunity.com] [Best Veteran March/May 2011] A new professor in town - Kanto Adventure PG13
The turtle Pokemon. It evolves into Wartortle. It is one of the starters given out by Professor Oak. Squirtle's shell is not merely used for protection. The shell's rounded shape and the grooves on its surface help minimize resistance in water, enabling this Pokemon to swim at high speeds.

Makuhita
[PokeCommunity.com] [Best Veteran March/May 2011] A new professor in town - Kanto Adventure PG13
The guts Pokemon. It evolves into Hariyama. Makuhita has a tireless spirit - it will never give up hope. It eats a lot of food, gets plenty of sleep, and it trains very rigorously. By living that way, this Pokemon packs its body with energy.

Okay Munchlax use Zen headbutt on Makuhita!" Munchlax's head turned purple he then lowered it then ran at Makuhita. He smashed into Makuhita knocking him into the floor.

Casey was distracted by the attack. "Vulpix! Use Hypnosis on Squirtle!" Sam yelled. This got Casey's attention as she pulled out a pokedex to check if that was possible. Big mistake, not commanding a counter. Squirtle was put asleep. "Now! Use Ember on your tail, then hit Makuhita with it!" Sam yelled. Vulpix breathed the fire on its tail and quickly charged, nearly hitting Makuhita until..."Now! Seismic Toss!" Grant yelled. "Shoot..." Sam said as Vulpix was picked up. He only had one shot. "Use Hypnosis!" Sam said. Vulpix's eyes turned purple as it quickly put its opponent to sleep. "Now! Close range Ember!" Sam yelled. Vulpix sprouted flames as it blasted its opponent.

"Makuhita use Tackle on Munchlax!" Grant commanded to his fighting type Pokemon. Makuhita started to run towards Munchlax; in an attempt to bash into him.

"Munchlax use Metronome!" Munchlax started to wiggle his fingers. They turned a bright white colour. Munchlax's fist then turned the same colour. He ran towards Makuhita and punched him right in the face. Munchlax had just used Focus Punch.

"James you are stupid lucky for me fighting type moves don't put much damage on my friend Makuhita. Makuhita use Close Combat!" Makuhita began to run up to Munchlax. Surely a strong fighting type move like Close Combat would be enough to take out Munchlax.

"Quick Vulpix save Munchlax by using Tail Whip on Makuhita!" Commanded Sam to Vulpix. Sam didn't want to see his friends Pokemon get obliterated. Vulpix smashed his tail into Makuhita's side. He pushed him back a little bit; just enough to stop him attacking Munchlax.

"Squirtle use Ice Beam on Munchlax!" Squirtle opened her mouth and fired a beam of ice; just like James' Glaceon.

"Munchlax use Zen Headbutt on the ice!" Munchlax's head turned purple. As the ice was coming towards him he smashed his head into it. But all that happened was that Munchlax's head became covered in ice.

"James what are you doing?" Sam asked James. James sure looked stupid by forcing Munchlax to get a dose of brain freeze.

"Sam quit it I know what I'm doing. Munchlax use Zen Headbutt on Makuhita!" Munchlax's icy head turned purple before he smashed it into Grant's fighting Pokemon. As Makuhita hit the floor he looked a little tired and depleted. As Munchlax's head hit Makuhita the ice smashed off of his head and left Munchlax un-brain freezed.

"Squirtle use Water Pulse!" Squirtle released a ball of water and sent it flying towards Vulpix. Vulpix closed his eyes and waited for the ball of water to hit him.

"Quick Munchlax jump in front of Vulpix and use Metronome!" Commanded James; you could sense the emotion in James' voice this meant a lot to him. Metronome jump in front of Vulpix. His fingers turned bright white and he began to wiggle them back and forth back and forth. Until he started to turn a bright silver colour; his body hardened up. As the water hit Munchlax it all sprayed off in different directions.

"Okay now Makuhita use Tackle on Munchlax!" Makuhita started to run towards the now normal Munchlax.

"Munchlax we can take advantage of this. Stand still and use Zen Headbutt!" Munchlax did as he was told; something had changed about him recently. Munchlax stood still and his head turned purple and he stood and waited for Makuhita to run into his head. When Makuhita ran into Munchlax's head he was knocked out immediately

"Return Makuhita. Well Casey I guess it's up to you!" With a red flash Grant returned Makuhita before he faced Casey; waiting to see what she would do.

"Squirtle use Water Gun on Munchlax!" Squirtle began to open her mouth; you could see the water running in her mouth.

"Quick Vulpix use Hypnosis then let Munchlax finish it off; that okay with you James. Sam asked his best friend.

"I wouldn't want it any other way. Munchlax as soon Squirtle is asleep use Metronome!" Commanded James. Munchlax wiggled his fingers before a continuous line of Thunder came from his body and shocked Squirtle until she fainted.

"Return Squirtle!" With a flash Casey returned her Pokemon. She looked at Grant before the pair ran away. James shrugged at Sam before the two friends walked on.

The friends hopped back on their bikes and proceeded to head down Cycling Road. Eventually they got through the cycling route. They got off their bikes and walked through the corridor. At the end of the corridor they handed their borrowed bikes back in.

James was once again holding Munchlax in his arms. He stroked his head just like a little dog. Munchlax seemed to like this but he kept jumping out; just like his normal self. On the other hand Vulpix was behaving perfectly for Sam. Rubbing his head against Sam's leg whilst they were all walking forward. James noticed a sign that read:

Route 18
This route leads to Fuschia City the home of the poison Pokemon gym.

Eventually after not too long of walking down the route the two friends were in the medium size city of Fuschia. James noted a few spots in the city. A gym and a Safari Park; this was where they were heading.

Okay guys... here's Fuschia:

Fuschia City

Recommended number of Posts: 3-8

Description: A city which is most well known for its Safari Zone. Unfortunately due to high visitor numbers, the Safari Zone has had to limit visitors. Now each trainer can only enter once, with only 10 safari balls and one pokémon. All other pokémon and items must be left on deposit at the Safari Zone entrance desk. For passing by trainers looking to earn a Gym Badge there is a Gym in town, which specialises in Poison types. The town also holds the basics, a pokémon center and pokémart.

What can you do in a City?

Heal your pokémon
Buy items
Have gym battles
Explore the Town
Note: You may not catch wild pokémon in the city, and you cannot have pokémon Battles, unless you're in a special area, for example a gym. This is basically a place to restore your health and relax.

Places of Interest
Pokémon Center: A place where you may heal your pokémon and sleep all for free!
Poké Mart: You may buy Items here: Potion, pokéball, Antidote, Awakening, and Paralyze Heal
Fuschia Gym: A chance to earn your next badge, the Fuschia Gym leader is a Ninja and favours Poison type pokémon.
Safari Zone - Due to new restrictions, this really has become a once in a lifetime experience. Your pokédex will be scanned on the way in and will be barred from future entry... so make the most of your time here. This beautiful National Park is home to a number of rare pokémon.

Koga (3 on 3)
A student of Ninjitsu who specialises in Poison type pokémon. Known as a master tactician, making him a stern test for any trainer.

@ali stone - rejected

Sorry but there is so much wrong with that SU. Every field is way too short and needs a lot more detail, and in the little you have written there are a number of spelling and grammar errors. You also didn't include an RP sample, and to round it all off Poliwag is taken.

(slls gave me permission to run right through the battle, and get exp for it. so don't think I did this without asking).

It was a long battle that involved several types of Pokemon from both Sean and Callum. Both team's were strong, and threatening, a real challenge to battle. However, the stronger side was actually Callum's so this did give Sean some hard time with trip ups. But like always, Sean's confident attitude to battling people who were getting in his way had gave him that boost and asdvantage. Not to menchan that all Pokemon used had believed in Sean, unlike the Pokemon used by Callum who were not so great towards Callum. So, in this battle was a battle of strength vs. trust. On Sean's side, his Pokemon had both strength and trust, making his team the better one even after going against Callum's more trained Pokemon. Throughout the battle was high effort, and lots of strong power from Callum and clever tactics from Sean, so in the end the victory was very close and was narrow. And in the end, the winner, by using all his great talent in battling, was Sean. This was a well deserved victory for him, and he took it so well and enjoyed every moment of it. This also proved that Sean was worthy of owning and training his Eevee, but Callum still disagreed.

Back to this moment, Callum was gasping with air in his breath, trying to ware his frustration away. After losing to Sean, despite having better leveled Pokemon, Callum thought that the victory was in his hands. But of course, after losing, this had proved him wrong. And the word that was not to be used to describe Callum, was wrong. On the lighter side, Sean, who was also trying to retain breath, was over the moon after winning once again. This was a feeling he was getting used to and enjoying. This made his good mood even better. The satisfaction of winning yet again was proving how much improvement he was making in his trainer lifestyle. There always had to be one loser in a battle, and the loser was indeed mad and jealous of Sean. "Arrrrgh! How the heck could this happen?!" his rage and fury brought out comments to Sean, who was stood with his arms folded and legs out. "Oh, let me think," Sean was smiling before giving out his reasons, "Maybe because you don't believe in your Pokemon. Or maybe that they don't believe in you. Face it Callum. You can't do it right." all of Sean's talking made Callum even worse, and he started to march on over towards Sean, with a highly threatening look on his face. "Never EVER tell me how to train my Pokemon up. The only reason you won was because you had those tactics which I don't believe in. Hmmph!" he then walked off, out of the small, tin building, leaving Sean on his own. The door closed with a slam, leaving him alone in the quiet place. After sitting down for a moment, Sean then got back up on hsi feet, and looked at his watch. "5:30." he told himself, then facing the door. As he started to walk out of the building, Sean could hear the door creak and then closed it right behind him, leaving the building deserted again.

After going outside, Sean noticed how the time had changed the weather into a sunset, with less people around due to hearing the news that Eevee was captured. That just occured to Sean once again, that now Callum knew the real truth about what happened. Having known this, Callum could go and tell anyone that Eevee was really caught by a trainer rather than being rescued. Yet this thought did not scare him too much, as he would not be so desparate to let everybody know. They may not believe him anyway. So, after coming outside into the city, Sean noticed the two Gyms next to each other. He could not decide which one to go in first, because both were the same size, they looked identical and if they were Gyms then they would be good and experienced no matter who is inside. But before entering any one of them, there was one step missing first, Sean's Pokemon were all weak or knocked out, so they needed to get refreshed before any more battles. This was a big day of battles, because there had been so much going on in his day. It was all so unbelieveable that all this had happened in one afternoon. Sean was walking down the path, past all the large buildings and houses to get to the Pokemon Center, where he could stop for a moment. Once he was there, he went through the door, hoping that Callum wasn't there to give him more grief, luckily he wasn't. In fact, there was only one person who had only just left upon Sean's enterance, putting Nurse Joy automatically towards Sean. "Hello. Need anything?" she was happy, yet rather let down that nobody had came to see her as much as before. "Yes please. Could you please heal my Pokemon?" he got the 5 PokeBalls from his pocket, Nurse Joy accepted them off him. "Okay hun. Just take a seat here and I'll be back in a few." she pointed him to a seat, where he sat down, Nurse Joy walking into the room where she would heal them up.

Whilst Nurse Joy was busy healing up his five Pokemon, Sean was having thoughts about going to one of them Gyms next. Which one was random, so he just picked any one he walked into. But he did think it was strange how there could be 2 Gyms in just one city, after all, that would make Saffron a real challenge to fully do. Even though there was two of the Gyms, Sean was going to have a go at taking them both out by the end of the night, so he could then move on to Celadon the next day. Since he was going into a Gym, he was also thinking about which Pokemon to use. There was five, so he could choose Eevee, Horsea, Ekans, Zubat or Growlithe. Firstly, he wanted the others to be trained up more so he thoguht that he'd give it a go with one of his weaker Pokemon, since they need the experience and levels. Not to menchan that Growlithe has been ever so active all day, what with taking out Diane's strongest Pokemon and catching Eevee. So he had made up his mind about what he was going to do now, so it was sorted. When he stopped thinking, Nurse Joy came from the room where Sean's Pokemon were all healed up. She walked right over, smiling, and gave him back his PokeBalls. Sean put them in his pocket. "Thanks. I'll be on my way now." he stood up, putting the arms of his bag over his arm and walked out of the Pokemon Center.

The weather was like it was when he walked into the Pokemon Center, but it was getting darker by the minute. The good thing was that most people were either indoors or had left, leaving Sean able to make his way through the big city easier. On the other hand, it will all come down to if the Gyms were open, whoich would make it an easier decision to choose which one to go in first. He started to walk on down, right past a few of those city buildings which he had been used to seeing by now. Each building he walked past he could see some people outside having a drink on a bench. Not everybody had left Saffron just because they knew Eevee was caught now. After walking down the street, Sean then came to an end of walking and was at the northern point of Saffron, where he could see the 2 Gyms. Once he went on over, he could see a long line coming out of one of them. This could prove that there was something better going on in there that was more of a challenge, but it also meant that there was no point in going in that one right now because the line was quite long. So, having said that, the other Gym could be closed, since people decided to choose the other one. Sean defied this and just shrugged his shoulders, walking over to the window of the deserted Gym. Sean looked through it and saw that there was very little amount of people inside, but there was people inside, so it would be sure to be open. So then since he had made his mind up, and the line on the other Gym was getting bigger, Sean headed over to the door and opened it, walking inside the large Gym.

OOC: yay, I'm back. Thanks for being understanding, slls81, I can promise you some big happenings in the next few posts :O

Warren shivered as he crept through the dense forest, Beedrill padding along ahead. There was a faint, but disgusting odour behind them had had been increasing for the last hour or two and neither of the two explorers harboured any desire to know what it was. Stealthily, Warren glanced over his shoulder, looking for the culprit. Sitting behind him, in an almost nonchalant manner was pile of purple goo. But what marked this out from any other random pile of slime was that it was moving, pulsating slowly like a diseased heart. Cautiously, Warren stepped forwards and stooped to pick up a long stick, keeping his eyes on the goo all the while. Leaning forwards, he gently prodded the...stuff with his impromptu staff, recoiling a little when it stuck fast.
"Beedrill," Warren whispered, nudging his friend's wing with his elbow, "Look at this." The bee turned around and eyed up the anomaly with distaste, its red eyes glowing fiercely. Roughly, the insect pushed Warren back and took a defensive stance, its stingers raised in front of its face. Giving off a gurgling snarl, the slime slowly stretched and twisted until it stood a head taller than Warren and almost twice as tall as Beedrill. Gulping, the bug stepped back and held out its weapons, even though they were shaking in fear.
"Beedrill!" Warren hissed, "Just back off, slowly. I don't know what the hell that is but you can't fight it!" Ignoring him, Beedrill took a step forwards, its eyes widening as a large, black hole appeared on the surface of the slime pile.
"Griiiii!" came the disgusting bellow, and with it, a wave of putrid air. Warren stepped back and whispered to Beedrill again.
"We do not have time for heroics. Run for it, you stupid bug!"
"Bee!" It shook its head violently, then gestured for Warren to go.
"I'm not going to run off while you get killed by that thing, Beedrill!" Ignoring him completely, Beedrill stepped forwards and lashed out with its stingers, almost quicker than the eye could follow. Bellowing in pain as it was ripped in half, then reformed, the....thing shrank a little, then reared up again before slowly leaning forwards.
"Look out!" Warren cried desperately as he leapt forwards and grabbed Beedrill's nearest stinger, barely pulling it out of the way of the smothering goo. Seconds later, he cried out and pulled his hands back as pain erupted along them. The edges of Beedrill's stingers looked smooth, but they were covered in millions of tiny spikes, which had ripped half of the skin off Warren's palms. Worse, they were coated in Beedrill's toxin, which would right now be swimming in his blood stream. Beedrill himself wasn't looking though; his attention was fixed on the large pool that was spreading along the ground. As the duo watched, black smoke rose from the undergrowth wherever the slime ran over it, leaving behind nothing but black ash.
"Run!" Warren spat and without any more argument, Beedrill took off, his trainer close behind him. Their flight was cut short, however, when they smashed into a chain-link fence, almost invisible in the dim light. Warren glanced up as Beedrill hacked at the barrier - they had reached the boundary between Cycling road and Route 18. With a hefty dose of luck, thy might just get out of this in one piece.

(haha it's not exactly a gym battle).

When Sean walked inside, it looked far from a Gym. Infact, it looked more like just an arena with only a few people inside and with people who had strange coloured hair. They were all busy in battles, with a handful of people challening them in hope of winning. But this was not just where trainers battled together, no. These people with odd hair colours were infact the Gym Leaders, if the place even was a Gym anyway. It was still quite a big place, as there was quite a few people up for the challenge. These guys were obviously famous among the city, and Sean couldn't decide which one to choose. Each person with the odd hair was obviously the Gym Leader, Sean could tell because all the other people in there were just normal hair coloured. Not to menchan that their clothes also had the colour to match their hair, so this easily gave Sean the idea that he had to choose one of these to go against. Sean looked at each one of the people, and their appearence. The main feature they had was the hair style, which was spiked up at the front. Each leader had a different colour in their hair: red, blue, green, gold and gray, which were all bright and flashy. Apart from their facial features, their clothes were also bright and colourful, showing the colour that matched the hair. These colour codes gave Sean the idea that it must have matched their types, yet one thing he could not understand was that if they were showing different colours, why would they challenge different people? He also tried to guess the reward, since there couldn't be a badge due to having so many Gym Leaders at once. Sean thought that it would obviously have to do something with the type they were, so Sean had to choose wisely from the person to go against.

One person had just finished their battle, leaving one of the Gym Leader's free to go against. Sean asked himself if it was a good idea to go against this one. He saw that this person was the one with red hair, showing that this guy must be something to do with fire, so this attracted Sean over to this person as if the reward had something to do with fire, then Sean could use it. So, Sean walked on over towards the free Gym Leader, as the challenger had just lost his battle to him, leaving with his head down. This did not put Sean off though as he was sure that the challenger must not have been ready, and nobody could be as ready as Sean was, well, that was what he thought. This Leader also seemed to have looked calm, young and relaxed though, so Sean would have no problem battling him. The smile on his face was capturing, a very nice and pleasent look on his face that could truly show that he was a true battler. Then he saw Sean, and welcomed him to the Gym. "Hey man. Welcome to our Dojo of the Evolution Brothers!" he greeted him, Sean smiled back pleasently. Sean heard that it was not indeed a Gym, but a Dojo instead, even though they were pretty much the same thing. But what also seemed to have got him was the 'Evolution Brothers'. What this could have meant, Sean didn't know but he was sure keen to find out about it. "I'm Danny. The fire Evolution Brother. You could probably guess by the appearnece, eh?" he winked and brushed his hair back, introducing himself. "I'm Sean Taylor, from Cinnabar Island. I came to check this place out to see if it could help me on my journey." Danny was pleased to hear this, as he liked to see trainers with experience before. "Oh, don't worry. We have something better than badges. Something that can make a difference to your Pokemon. On the other hand, here, since you have challenged me, you must use a Fire type Pokemon." Sean had one of these, Growlithe, although it had been to used for the day and it needed the rest. However, he did hear that Eevee can evolve into seven different Pokemon, and he wanted to evolve Eevee first. "Erm... can an Eevee qualify?" Sean asked, hoping that Danny would say yes. "Actually, it would be great if you could use Eevee. I could show you which Pokemon your Eevee could evolve into if you used it." this put a smile on Sean's face. However, there was one thing to worry about. This guy was a highly experienced and qualified trainer, and Eevee was a really low level. But still, Sean wanted to use Eevee, so that was what he was going to do. "Okay. I guess I know what I'm choosing now." Sean nodded. "Okay. Get ready." Danny edged his voice, making him sound sure about it. They both stood in their positions, and were about to send out their Pokemon.

Showdown

"Run. Faster. Run. Faster," Warren panted as him and Beedrill charged through the thinning forest on Route 18. The stench was still thick in their nostrils and Warren knew what that meant. Ahead, the trees spread further and further apart, leading the way to freedom and safety.
"WAARRGGHH!" Warren yelled out in shock as a slimy tendril wrapped itself around his ankle, bringing him crashing to the ground. Beedrill spun around, its eyes alight as another tentacle grabbed Warren's other leg. Devoid of any hands to help with, Beedrill instead chose the rather more direct approach of jabbing furiously at the enemy with all three of its stingers, slashing at the strings of goo that were binding its trainer.
"Merrr!" the thing bellowed as Warren wrenched himself from its weakening grip. Rearing up, it colossal mouth opened again, two watery eyes forming above it.
"Grimer!" Warren gasped as he recognised his pursuer for the first time. But...Grimer were normally only a few feet high, but this one was massive, towering over both of its opponents. Something about it was just not right. There wasn't any time to dwell on what had caused this abomination though, because the abomination in question had just grabbed hold of Beedrill's stingers, engulfing them in its massive liquid paws.
"Don't worry, Beedrill!" Warren shouted, amazed that he hadn't thought of this before, "Beedrill, return!" Both of the Pokémon looked shocked as the red the red beam of light struck Beedrill in the back, vaporising it into the familiar red glow, which shot back inside the ball with a satisfying click.
"GRIIIIIIMERRRRRR!" Warren spun around to run as the east howled its anger, but suddenly, his vision flickered. Warren stumbled as blobs of black floated in front of his eyes, accompanied by dull throbs in his temples. The poison, from his own Pokémon was destroying his chances of escape. If the situation hadn't been so dire, Warren would have laughed at the irony. His hands erupted into spasms as the poison burrowed though his veins and Beedrill's Pokeball fell to the ground, rolling to a stop just a couple of feet from the sludge. Slowly, Warren looked up at pile of sludge, which was eyeing him up equally viciously. Growling in determination, the teenager threw himself forwards, desperate to cover the twenty yards before Grimer cold reach his friend. But Grimer didn't even need to move. Grinning in an almost demented manner, the monster held up a giant hand and as Warren watched in horror, blue sparks began to leap between its fingers, forming a glowing sphere of electricity. Thunderbolt.
"No," he gasped, but that was all he had time to say before the sphere explode into a jet of blue lightning, covering the distance at a speed that no human could match and striking the vulnerable Pokeball dead on. For a second, nothing happened, then with a flash of blue and red light, the small metal sphere exploded, creating a huge amount of smoke, light and giant tongues of flame. Warren was thrown back, rolling over and over until he smacked into a large rock, his head smacking into the stone with a loud crack. The last thing Warren saw before blackness clouded his vision was all the branches that were filtering the weak sunlight above him. Every one of them was dripping purple slime.

Aftermath

The small clearing in the forest looked like it had been hit by a bomb. There were fragments of red and white metal littering the floor, in a sort of circular pattern around a large, black mark on the earth, where the grass had been scorched by an explosion. Lying some distance from this carnage was an unconscious teenage boy, his head resting against a rock. His clothes and hair were charred, but more noticeably, they were covered in the strange, viscous, purple liquid that adorned every branch nearby. On the other side of the clearing, a small creature stepped out of a bush, with large red eyes gleaming in the weak sun light. Seeing the scene of devastation before it, it stopped for a moment, its then grey antennae twitching curiously.
"Gotcha!" The creature spun around, its purple fur standing on end, just in time to see a net slammed down over its head. The man holding it grinned, then stopped as he noticed the slime, the scorched earth and the boy. Glancing down at the net, he tied it over the Venonat's head, then dropped it.
"What....?" he whispered to himself as he slowly picked his way over to the boy. Bending down, he gently shook his shoulder.
"Hey. Hey, kid, wake up." Slowly, the boy opened his eyes and looked up at him.
"What...who...who are you?" he whispered, pulling himself up onto an elbow.
"My name is Malcolm, I'm a ranger from the Safari Park. Are you okay?"
"...I...I guess so..."

Grabbing the man's arm for support, Warren pulled himself to his feet. His head was spinning and he reached back to feel the lump, wincing when he brushed the incredibly sore patch. There was something wet and sticky there as well - blood.
"We'd better get you back to the city quickly," Malcolm said, concerned, "That sort of injury might need stitches." Warren groaned at the thought of stitches, but then gasped as a much more important matter came to mind.
"Beedrill..." he gasped and Malcolm frowned in confusion.
"I haven't seen one. I've been chasing that Venonat and from the looks of it, there's been a few Grimer here. But no Beedrill." Warren shook his head.
"No...He was here...he saved me...the Pokeball..." Warren's stomach sank as he saw the fragments littering the floor.
"Beedrill!" he shouted, "Where are you?" Silence filled the forest. Malcolm put his hand on Warren's shoulder.
"Look, I know you want to find your friend. But you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. We can go to town, get you sorted out, and then we can come back and have a proper search, okay?" Warren gritted his teeth. He wanted to disagree. He wanted to shout and scream and rip up this entire forest until Beedrill was found again, safe and sound. But he knew it wasn't going to happen. Warren could feel it in his gut that no matter how long he searched, Beedrill would be nowhere to be found.

OOC: yay for lots of random characters! :P
