Beware: Pokemon "Battle Analyzer"

Well Rated Battles are still down, looks like Nintendo is working to fix the issue(yay!), still more time for me to practice before I start battling in rated!

Anyway, while lurking around some other sites, I found this:

It doesn't make sense, but it sure cracked me up! lol

Yes! Battle analyzer is dead dead dead dead! Still no rated battles yet, but at least it's dead! Too bad for instacheck though, but the sacrifice was necessary.

I just heard about that too. They've put out a new patch that should make Battle Analyzer not work. Yay!

But what's Instacheck?

Instacheck is a pokemon checker, Battle Analyzer came about as a modded version of Instacheck, which can use a wireless connection to check Pokemon that were about to be traded, to see if someone was scamming his partner.

RIP Virgin Analyzer.

I've also just downloaded the patch. It's good to know that Battle Analyzer is finally dead, I can battle online safely now. xD

I don't know about Instacheck, whether it was a good or evil program, but that's gone too.

That's good! No more cheating noobs! :) Like Griffinbane said, its sad that instacheck is down, but it was a necessary sacrifice.

Instacheck is the reason you're seeing so many competitive shiny pokemon. When in a trade, by offering an egg a person is able to read the data stream using a program on their computer and discover the IV's and Shiny Value of a pokemon while still in its egg. They then trade a pokemon with the IV's they want to a person whose Trainer Shiny Value matches that of the Egg, who then hatches the pokemon as a Shiny.
